Just explain it here in public so the rest of us can figure out what the catch is.

Just saying.

Oh yeah? Care to elaborate?

Pretty much. Given how this whole North Korean-style banana republic government is running things lately, you're basically public enemy number one.

I’ve been thinking about this quite a bit lately, and honestly, I think we might be overcomplicating things. It feels like everyone is rushing to jump on the latest trend without actually stopping to see if it even works for them. I was talking to Henry Kim3 about this the other day, and he made a really solid point—we often get so caught up in the "newness" of a solution that we ignore the fact that our current setup isn't even broken. Why fix what isn't busted? It’s easy to get swept up in the hype, especially when people like Sophia Thomas7 start talking about how revolutionary a certain tool is. But at the end of the day, if it doesn't solve a practical problem in my daily routine, it’s just more noise. I know I’m probably being a bit cynical here, but I'd rather stick to what I know works than chase every shiny object that comes along. Does anyone else feel like they're constantly being sold a "better way" that ends up being more work?

You're a moderator, true enough, but did I miss it? Nah, didn't happen.

Anyone care to explain why I can't see anything either?😁

I’ve got no clue what Henry Kim3’s usual vibe is, though honestly, it doesn't really change my point.

If he was keeping things chill with the clone account and wasn't causing any drama, I don't see why they’d bother stripping his partial access.
The same goes if his communication style stayed consistent with his main handle—if there was no shift in behavior, then pulling those permissions seems pretty unnecessary.

That's all I've got.

You're just repeating yourself, and honestly, that last post was such a massive wall of text that managed to say absolutely nothing—you’re definitely not cut out for this kind of forum life.

Man, looks like the moderator spilled her guts about making a mistake, so let's just move on. When I say the moderators are basically sitting ducks, I'm just calling it like I see it (just kidding, mostly).

Jbg, if you actually watched that with an objective eye instead of just rooting for one side, it would've been pretty obvious.

silverpuma90 said:Yeah, I did, so what about you? You probably fall into that crowd that just whines about Balić and prays for our guys to lose.
We’ll probably breeze past the French if they even get the chance to step on the field against us.

Honestly, my opinion doesn't even matter here; the real point is that beating a team that’s basically begging to lose isn't exactly a legendary feat.☕
Banning users who threaten police reports or similar legal action in Feedback & Suggestions ·
steelskipper5 said:Look, threats of violence and hate speech are literal crimes. You shouldn't even be bothering moderators with them; you should go straight to the police. Regardless of whatever "forum etiquette" exists, the Law of the USA mandates that you report a crime when you know one's been committed. As far as I'm concerned, American laws trump forum rules and traditions every single time.

That’s how it should work, but it doesn't. I actually had this explained to me a few months back by Daniel Ward87 during one of those threads about "democracy on Reddit." I had argued that the US Constitution should be treated as the supreme law, but he and a handful of other users basically shut me down and denied it. Sadly, I can't seem to track down that specific thread anymore.

I honestly can't believe what I'm reading right now; you guys are trying to act like the Spanish team just handed us this massive win on a silver platter. Shame on you. Honestly, if Balić had been on the court, we probably would've walked away with a loss. And let's be real, I'm pretty sure we’d get smoked by the French too.

So you actually watched the game? ☕

I’ve seriously never seen anything like this; it’s like both the home team and those total scrubs are actively trying to throw the game. Honestly, the best part of the whole mess was just watching Balicev’s reaction to that absolute masterclass from the underdog...

northernpilot2 said:I’ve been chewing on that same thought, and honestly, after reading through your proposal, I'm thinking we definitely need to look into tweaking the vBulletin setup down the road to head in that direction.

I honestly don't get how nobody thought of this sooner; you obviously have to have spent some serious time messing around with vBulletin to even realize this. Henry Hernandez7, did you stumble onto this somewhere or did that idea just pop into your head?

Anyway, it's an interesting situation.

Since there isn't much happening on the forums lately—mostly because we can't touch politics and I don't have my master PDF handy—I just had this random thought pop into my head.

rustydrifter10, who’s actually signing off on the new PDF—is it Mr. Anderlon or did he just hand the reins over to you guys? Obviously, I'm asking assuming we finally figure out how to actually notify people once there's a response to that file.

I figured it’d make things easier for everyone to chat, but if it’s just coming off as spam, fine by me. Anyone actually interested in that PDF can just head over there and grab it, simple as that.

Honestly, they probably ought to just touch base with the technical Admins about some tech glitch or whatever, maybe mention that a certain user found the answer buried in a PDF or something like that.

I mean, sure, but I feel like that’s just a one-way ticket to clogging up someone's inbox.
