Chris Ortiz said:Oh, absolutely, there was also that bus incident where everyone seemed to crash right before it happened.
What actually ended up happening with that situation? I know they had to redo the start, but how many drivers were even left in the running?
If I recall correctly, Michael took the win in that race, didn't he?

I wrote, "well, if it hadn't rained." Damon Hill won that race...☕

Tomorrow, I have slim hopes for the kind of start I've been dreaming of since I first started watching F1—assuming we aren't dealing with a total washout from the rain... specifically, seeing chaos at the very first corner, with two or three rows of cars absolutely wrecking each other out.☕
And then there was me... in Spirituality ·
I feel this wave of unease wash over me the moment I even begin to contemplate the matter...🙄

Chris Ortiz said:just as Jerković always claims that Fernando Alonso, Kimi Räikkönen, Hem, Vettel, Robert Kubica—and I’d throw Jenson Button into that mix as well—are the top tier, while those other two are merely second rate... personally, I find Mark Webber more impressive because he actually managed to pull off results even when stuck in subpar cars, especially during qualifying sessions.

Why Alonso, though? And why Hem? Honestly, what's the deal with Jerković? He's been playing favorites with Lewis Hamilton since the guy first stepped onto the Formula 1 grid...

So Kubica-Alonso isn't at Indianapolis Motor Speedway? Am I the only one getting banned for mentioning an on-track duel while everyone else gets a free pass?

Well, goodbye to you and this entire subforum... I'll consider coming back once this place actually has two moderators instead of just one...😉

Nicole Reyes97 said:You’d be much better off keeping an eye out to see if Kimi actually drove his car off a cliff into a ravine... because it looks like Alonso still hasn't found a gig as a comedian... ☕

A comedian? If you actually knew anything about rallying, you’d realize it’s far more demanding than Formula One... I honestly don't understand why we're still bickering over this, especially since Alonso overtook Kubica off-track and you people are still out here defending him for not giving the position back...😕

Well, someone has to step up and do it, since they clearly aren't fighting for the championship title anymore...

Nicole Reyes97 said:Yeah, exactly... that "diva squad" will always be bickering amongst themselves while the rest of the drivers—the smart, level-headed, and composed ones—are just circling like vultures, waiting for some "Alonso situation" to arise so they can finally nail him to the cross... ☕

The man is nailing himself to the cross, and he’s been doing it for quite a while now.

Nicole Reyes97 said:Seriously, do you actually believe Alonso is such an idiot that he would just ignore a penalty order... 🙏 I suppose both he and Ferrari had plenty of reasons to be "disobedient," even if the claims that they were warned three separate times feel like a complete stretch to me... Sure, let’s just assume Alonso was being his usual calculating self, pushing for those fast laps so that even if he caught a penalty, he wouldn't drop too far down the order. But the reality is he was stuck right behind Rosberg after that incident happened...
That was just a racing incident, and if you look at the history of Formula 1, there have been plenty of moments like that which could easily be prosecuted objectively...

But... just like you said yourself: you’re probably better off staying blissfully ignorant in your own little bubble... 👍

I honestly can’t tell who’s more dim-witted here—is it us, or is it Alonso and his whole entitled little entourage that seems to be happening, quite frankly...Always... There are enough ingredients here for a massive blowout... and I can't help but wonder who’s going to end up taking the fall when the season wraps up. Unless this ends in a total disaster like the Prost-Ferrari situation—getting kicked out of the team because he just couldn't stop complaining about everyone and everything...

Tyler Ross86 said:Anyway, I spent my shift today messing around with some math, trying to map out a specific strategy:

Basically, you start with $17 and just keep rolling the entire amount—including your profits—on parlays with a total odd of 1.20... here is how those numbers look in US dollars depending on how many winning tickets you hit in a row:

First winning ticket = $20
After 10 wins in a row, you're sitting at = $103
The 15th ticket = $257
The 18th ticket = $444
The 21st ticket = $767
The 25th ticket = $1590
The 30th ticket = $3956
The 35th ticket = $9844

And if you hit number 34, God help me, you'll be...😁

Until we have that data, your assessments aren't exactly hitting the mark...

And do you honestly believe that the people doing this job constantly—hardcore professionals who live and breathe this stuff—are actually the idiots you're painting them out to be?
Do you truly think that you or I possess more information than they do?

Do you seriously think the race officials are just sitting there for the sake of being present, watching the race just to look like complete fools?🤷

Surely they know something, and they certainly have more experience than you Alonso fans can possibly imagine... after all, Mansell was right there...

You're just bashing Kubica because Zalonso is passing him, so the guy needs to get out of the way to let him through—but what "get out of the way"? Kubica should have probably driven straight into the grass just so he wouldn't accidentally wave or call out to Charlie...🙂

silvercobra68 said:Thank God, it seems like at least a few people have finally opened their eyes...

Maybe the time will finally come when we can openly admit that Alain Prost was the superior, more complete driver compared to Ayrton Senna... and that those four world titles against three, along with fifty-one wins over forty-one, aren't just empty numbers on a page, but actual proof... To overcome...

One guy is out there enjoying his retirement while the other completely blew it, and that’s a reality we have to face head-on. One was smart, the other wasn't... those are just the facts, people, those are the plain and simple facts...

Unfortunately for you, that kind of dominance only exists in your own imagination...

I’m going to skip over the whole Vettel-Webber dynamic and just focus on Kamui Kobayashi here... 🙏🙏🙏
And honestly, someone actually tried telling me after Valencia that he only grabbed 7th place because he got lucky, claiming he only jumped ahead of Fernando Alonso because of tire strategy, yet somehow he managed to pull off 6th now... 😕

Kamui Kobayashi, you absolute legend!

Jonathan Booth5 said:Of course they’re trying to downplay things, especially since Luca di Montezemolo won't stop spouting nonsense about anyone and everything at any given moment, seemingly oblivious to the fact that he represents the head of the most prestigious team in Formula 1. Such remarks inevitably tarnish the entire image of the sport, and frankly, the FIA is growing increasingly tired of their antics. It’s honestly infuriating; Jean Todt must be losing his mind at every single race seeing what they've turned this team into over the last three years.

Think about how much effort Todt, Ross Brawn, and Michael Schumacher put into building this squad, only for these guys to screw it all up in a matter of years. The team is a complete joke; I honestly don't understand how they even allow statements like "You don't need to do anything except call Charles" to be released publicly... they should just keep that embarrassment to themselves. One day the bank fires a driver, the next they bring in someone else, and nobody even knows who's actually running the show anymore......

When the SC is out on track, overtaking is strictly prohibited. Nobody passes anyone, under any circumstances, until Race Control gives the green light.
Only once the field has lined up—and provided the leader isn't already tucked in behind the SC—does Race Control signal that drivers can begin passing the SC. That's when the green light turns on (which is exactly what we saw during the race) until the moment the leader catches up to the back of the pack, at which point the yellow lights come on and overtaking is banned again.

Hamilton wasn't leading, and the yellow flag was already out.
