The movie is a bit like a light lager at a summer BBQ—easy to drink, but pretty weak and loses its fizz fast. The acting is solid enough, I guess, but the whole thing feels more like some casual family TV night where you aren't really looking for anything deep.
I used to be a fan of Van Damme, but I think Mitchell is even worse; if Van Damme is just a B-list actor, this guy is practically non-existent. Peyton has a few interesting low-budget neo-noir sci-fi projects under his belt, but that’s about all there is to him!
He’s one of those characters you just catch out of the corner of your eye while you're sipping a cold beer after a big lunch, working through a crossword, relaxing, and just waiting for the release of *Plodovi Lands*!
Jacob and Deckard, look, let's just agree that this movie is pretty weak. Both the original and the remake have their highs and lows. I find it hard to be definitive, though, since I tend to change my mind quite often!

It’s a bit underwhelming, I guess. It feels like maybe Armitage was just taking a breather after playing Thorin in the Hobbit! There isn't much here that we haven't already seen in Twister and similar movies. It might be okay for some light viewing, though.
Great actors sometimes take a break from their usual caliber to jump into these kinds of mediocre movies, and I guess Robert De Niro does that quite a bit lately... ughhh!
I think I’ve mentioned before that this movie just isn't working for me. It feels like a weak attempt by Banderasov to force that plastic-looking actress into the mix. While I agree the film tries to lean on those classic sci-fi tropes, it does so in a pretty tedious way. If the story had been more fleshed out or intelligently directed, I might have looked past those terrible robots, but seeing these supposedly "advanced" machines that look like they were cobbled together in a middle school shop class... well, it's a thumbs down from me. I'd rather just grab a beer and look out the window.
A bad sequel to an already bad movie! Why? I guess only Americans can figure that one out. Personally, I found the people participating in "The Purge" to be more annoying than scary; they’re just incredibly theatrical and irritating. It honestly makes you want to just knock them out and be done with it. I don't know what the director and the actors were thinking trying to play it this way. Unfortunately, since flops always seem to get sequels, we'll probably see at least five more of these
This would be perfect for younger viewers looking to shape their cinematic tastes, and for those of us older, it’s a lovely way to remember what cinema is truly about. It's an excellent collection! I tend to ignore Slavoj Žižek when it comes to defining quality, as I believe a healthy individual is perfectly capable of discerning what's good on their own.

I suppose that's why there's no monument to be found—because a truly great adaptation might just be impossible. I think I might have wanted to enjoy this movie once, but I guess I outgrew that kind of stuff a long time ago.
While the film does a lovely job capturing the visual essence of Victorian England, I feel the story itself is somewhat mediocre. Perhaps it’s just because audiences might be getting a bit tired of all the mystery and debunking surrounding Trbosjek! The acting is decent enough, though I don't think anyone's performance really sticks with you after the credits roll.
Both of them are just disappointing. They feel shallow and simplistic, almost like they were designed for kids—and unfortunately, that includes Liam too.
