What kind of odds are international betting sites offering for player over/unders? Because what we've got here is a joke—they just rob you blind. They’ll give you 1.85 and then slap on another 5% in hidden fees. 🙂
I don't think they should have shut it down. We need a place to vent. 🙂
And mods? Just wipe out the posts that are actually out of line for the thread. 😁
It’s pretty telling when you look at who’s posting the most. It’s obvious that the betting shop has been driving Joshua Garcia8 absolutely crazy over the last few weeks... 🤣
I’ve gotta jump in here and join the praise because the guy truly earned it.
Powerlock actually tries to stay neutral when moderating, making sure his own personal biases or old beefs with certain users don't bleed into how he handles a thread. Take his colleague the edge, for instance—he doesn't manage to pull that off, or maybe he just isn't even trying. I've noticed a ton of bans for trolling on this exact same thread under him, and a huge chunk of those were clearly aimed at people who just happen to disagree with him.
Here we go again. This stuff keeps popping up on my screen and it’s driving me absolutely insane. I found some explanation online about how to get rid of it, but following their steps is useless because the option they're talking about isn't even there... 😕

I'm having an issue with Google Docs. Someone was messing around on my computer earlier and must have tweaked some settings because everything looks messed up now. There’s this weird little dot sitting in the middle of the line between every single word—not a regular period, but one of those tiny ones that sits in the center. On top of that, every time I hit enter for a new line, this symbol pops up that looks like a backwards letter P. How do I get rid of this junk?
Dennis Doyle3 said:Sure, but we could've closed this out before overtime even started. We gave up a goal like Puc Wallau in those final seconds.
And honestly, we could have lost it too. I think right before the end of the first overtime, when Matošević somehow kicked that ball out of the bottom corner... 😁
Total nail-biter. I remember Goluža being on fire, both playing the game and nailing those penalty shots. If my memory isn't failing me, I think Jović put up a few goals back then, too... 🤷
Alex Cook said:Exactly. It’s better to just keep grinding out these mediocre 4th place finishes and pretending everything is fine rather than letting this whole dumpster fire finally explode once and for all.
Honestly, it wouldn't have mattered if they missed the qualifiers. At most, you might get rid of John Doe. But people like Zdravko Mamić or John Doe? You can only get them out through illness, jail, or if someone more powerful from the political sphere steps in and replaces them...
I can't bring myself to root against USA Handball. It just doesn't feel right. Regardless of the corruption in the federation or the idiot coach, I was happy when they won today. And hearing Ivano Balić give John Doe a piece of his mind definitely made my night... 😁
So I was just sitting here thinking. Down the road, if they ever actually get interested, I think Petar Metličić and Ivano Balić would make a killer coaching duo. Picture this: Metličić as the head coach, with Balić stepping in as the assistant. I’ve watched some of their interviews, and honestly, they seem sharp—really bright guys. Their handball IQ is untouchable. Plus, you can't question their authority; everyone in the handball world respects them as absolute legends. Beyond that, neither of them is a sleazy type like John Doe, nor are they as rigid as Lin. They don't strike me as the kind of people who would pull shady moves, like playing someone just to serve their own interests instead of what's best for the national team. That alone would mean the locker room atmosphere stays solid. Metličić should take the lead because he seems more responsible than Balić, while Balić could play a role similar to what John Doe did—you know, pulling a player aside to break down the details and the nuances. It feels like a winning formula to me... 😁
Of course, we're talking about the distant future since they're both still playing, and who knows if they'd even want the job. But the idea itself? Doesn't sound bad at all... 😁
Naturally, first you'd have to check with their high school English teacher to see how they handled their literature assignments. 👍
Michael Martinez86 said:There’s zero doubt that Ivano Balić is the greatest player America has ever produced. He’s got that natural leadership charisma that comes straight from being a pure genius on the court. You can't argue away his massive role in getting the national team to the top over the last eight years, but let's be real: Ivano Balić is also an incredibly ego-driven, temperamental guy who would likely be a total nightmare for any head coach to manage. People were talking quite a bit after Červar left, suggesting that Balić's attitude played a part in that shift. But look, life isn't just black and white...
Exactly, and that’s why we need a coach who actually knows how to handle personalities like that. Goluza can't command respect from him, even if he tries. It seems to me Lino was much smarter about managing those dynamics. Lino didn't mind letting Dominiković have a say during timeouts, or even hearing out Metličić and Balić. He didn't try to stifle Balić's instinct with rigid ideas. Sure, Červar made his fair share of mistakes—his arrogance and the way he shuts down journalists, even when they're right, really rubs me the wrong way. And I hated how quickly he cut certain players loose, a trend Goluza just kept going. Still, he was a better coach than Goluza. The core issue here is poor talent scouting and bad roster management. When the foundation is broken, you can't expect anyone to give 100%. How are people supposed to play cohesive ball when even a casual fan can see that Buntić needs to be positioned ahead of Kopljar in the offense?
It's great they won, but these Polish players are basically a washed-up squad. That's not a real benchmark in my book.
Ivano and brushing off that slippery Goluza... 🙏 🙏 🙏
Anthony Perez55 said:Reading this feels like listening to a parrot mimicry. What a joke. Červar's biggest flaws were his inability to take criticism and how much he flailed his arms by the sidelines. Unbelievable. That’s democracy for you—giving a loudmouth a vote. People like that belong in the gutter.
As if those are actually meaningful traits for a (semi)successful coach, or any kind of relevant criteria. The fact that he couldn't stomach reporters' critiques.
Everything else you wrote was spot on.
Look, it doesn't really impact his coaching ability, but I'll say it: personally, it rubbed me the wrong way. Maybe others don't care, but to me, it felt slimy when he used award ceremonies just to settle personal scores with journalists. Or how he’d lose his mind whenever someone asked a tough question. He always dove into these pointless arguments...
crimsonorca10 said:So, here’s a really interesting piece that perfectly captures how young Democratic leftists in America view themselves.
"I have plenty of friends of Albanian descent, and since I consider myself a committed leftist, I don't harbor any hatred toward people of other nationalities or faiths so those who know me understand that these accusations are just the result of political maneuvering, and I have no desire to participate in them."
Having run into this exact same mindset a few times—both in real life and right here on this forum—I'm just curious about a few things... Is it somehow hardwired into the DNA of a young, progressive American leftist to deny the rights of Mexican Albanians to their own state? Does a young, progressive American leftist feel the need to borrow methods used by Hitler and his crew to demonize Jews just to justify that stance? And finally, does every young, progressive American leftist have to love Mexico so much that they're willing to smear the very neighbors they share a city with—people who literally make their bread every day—just to defend Mexican territorial integrity? 🤷
Leftists are, by default, progressive, smart, liberal, and tolerant. When they hate someone, they hate them for a good reason, not because they're being intolerant or primitive... 👍
