stormybadger8 said:Why don't you just wrap your head around how the Super League leadership works before you try explaining your little rulebook to me?☕

Maybe I messed up by thinking this was a fresh bid for Bahrain, but it looks to me like any offer submitted late (after the first deadline) that goes unanswered just counts as the bid for the next race.
Sure, you can play smart and claim the rules say a new bid happens "after the race," but I’m pretty sure there have been plenty of times where a bid posted after the first deadline was treated as the bid for the next race simply because nobody responded. There have even been cases where people were told a driver "can't" submit a new bid because the one sitting between the first deadline and qualifying was already considered their official bid for the next round.
I could go digging for proof, but honestly, I can't be bothered.
At the end of the day, none of this matters to you anyway, regardless of who said what or when they said it.

The rulebook has always been flawed and full of loopholes—it’s not like we haven't known that until now.
Every single competition and every season is packed with nonsense because of these "intellectual" types who ensure there's a sea of ambiguity everywhere you look.

And it’s the same old story every season: wondering what on earth Max was thinking when he wrote these rules. Max is nowhere to be found when things actually matter, but he sure shows up right on cue after the fact to lecture everyone with his "wisdom."

Where were you before all this went down? If you’re so convinced Pat should have been disqualified earlier, why didn't you demand it then?🤷
Where were you if consistency is such a big deal and if this whole thing is such a total disaster?

Oh, come on, that’s just your typical BS right there...
You can try to be a smart aleck and claim the rules say a new offer has to be placed "after the race," but I’m pretty sure we've already seen plenty of cases where an offer was submitted after the first deadline and still got counted as the new offer for the next race because it didn't actually respond to the previous one. I've even heard people explaining that a player "isn't allowed" to send a new offer because their submission between the first deadline and qualifying was technically already considered their official move for the upcoming race.
Man, I really should probably get out there and start looking, but honestly? I just can't be bothered. Not today.
At the end of the day, I know none of this actually matters to you, regardless of who says what or when they say it.

Please, don't start making stuff up again... You claim you're pretty sure about this, but there hasn't been a single instance where someone was barred from sending a new offer just because their opponent sat on the last one. It honestly makes zero sense, and trust me, nobody is bored enough to try and sell those excuses to anyone. You’re actually the first one out here trying to push that "explanation." 🤣
Let's be real, the rulebook has always been full of holes and loopholes—it's not like we're just finding that out now.
Every single race and every damn season ends up being filled with a mountain of nonsense, all because of people like this spouting their "wisdom." It just creates a massive sea of ambiguity that makes everything way more confusing than it needs to be.

Look, if you already knew the rulebook was full of holes... why on earth didn't you just patch them up?
So, you basically appointed yourself the referee, drafted all these rules we're supposed to play by, and now you’re out here trying to sell us this total fairy tale—claiming Max is somehow to blame for this year's regulations and why you can't actually stick to the rules you wrote yourself. Give me a break! 😂
Do you even realize how absurd all this rambling of yours actually is? 🤷
It’s the same old story every single season. People start whining about what Max was thinking when he sat down to write the rulebook, and honestly, it’s just more of the same. Max just vanishes right when you actually need him to show up.And there he goes again, popping up with all his "wisdom" after everything that’s happened, acting like some kind of guru at sixteen years old.

So, where am I supposed to fit into this? Am I really expected to be on call 24/7 just to clear up every little doubt you have so the Super League can somehow run smoothly?
I was right here before the season even kicked off, laying out all the details on how the entry list actually ought to look. But then everyone just started sucking up to Max, acting like his take was gospel. It didn't matter that I provided one solid, well-reasoned explanation; people would rather throw a few biased votes at you without having any real substance or logic behind them.
Rules for all competitions get tweaked every season to patch up holes from the previous one. Back in 2010, I was the one patching up the rules from the 2009 season. It’s totally normal because new stuff pops up constantly, and it’s impossible to cover everything at once and expect a single rulebook to stay untouched for years. This year, you were the one in charge of fixing the gaps from last year's Super League, and honestly, you proposed those updated rules yourself—which means you changed what you felt needed changing. Your issue, though, is that you spent way too much energy on things that didn't need touching (like the entry list) instead of worrying about the actual items that could cause a massive dispute. So, by trashing this year's rulebook, you're really just trashing your own work, not mine.
And what "wisdom" am I talking about? Don't the racers have a right to know if the Super League isn't running smoothly? Am I supposed to just shut up whenever I spot one of your mistakes?
Where were you before all this? If you're so sure Pat should've been disqualified earlier, why didn't you ask for it then? 🤷
Where were you if being "regular" is such a big deal and if this whole thing is such a total disaster?

Look, am I the organizer or are you? Did I ask anyone back in 2010 to help me run the Super League or point out flaws? I wouldn't have even stepped up if that meant I had to, because that would mean I wasn't capable of running a race with 8 participants. Not gonna lie, nobody helped me run the Super League; there were just people making my life harder.
And why on earth would I need to ask for Pat to be disqualified when the rules already cover it and all that's needed is an organizer to actually enforce them?
So what do you want from me? You've been slamming me for two years straight, and now you want me to give you a heads-up on your own screw-ups so they don't turn into a catastrophe?
Nobody asked you, called you, or suggested you take over as the Super League organizer. You've been pushing yourself into that position since last year. Why push for it if you can't handle the job and need Max to fix everything for you?
Do I need to tell you that you should've already called up the next reserve to replace Pangloss, who's subject to disqualification? Or was that something you, as the organizer, should have handled? Running this isn't just adding up scores and making fancy spreadsheets; you have to watch every little detail, and not everyone is cut out for it. From what I can see here, you aren't cut out to run the Super League.

Basically, Pangloss's this post (posted on 05/12/2013 at 13:45) was his last post in this thread. That was his response to the VN Germany update, which automatically means Pangloss failed to send an offer/response for the next three races (Monaco, Canada, Europe). According to the rules, he's been subject to disqualification since 06/24/2012 after Valencia ended. Yet, a day later, the organizer is posting the pairings for the next race. 🙏

So, why on earth is Pangloss in this pairing you put together?
Does this mean we're gonna be stuck waiting another two races for you to actually follow through on the rules, just like what happened with Pat?
Or do you have some special logic for why Pangloss is competing at Silverstone?
Just a heads-up: that excuse where his last offer counts as a fresh one for the next round isn't gonna fly here. He already got an answer to that offer back in Bahrain, so you’re gonna need a whole new explanation for this latest slip-up... 😂

I mean, seriously... the deadline for offers has totally passed, people are already busy responding to bids, and Rosiyev doesn't even know who he's up against yet?? Is he playing against Frontier, Matthew Young35, Kimi..? Or is it Pangloss, whom the commissioner assigned to him? 😁

Listen up, folks... you really need to go through this back-and-forth between darkmarlin16 and stormybadger8 first. It’ll make everything else make way more sense... and honestly, it's just hilarious. 😁
Please pay special attention to the parts in **bold** and **red**. 😁
darkmarlin16 said:Then what's even the point of having a Tuesday midnight deadline?

Totally pointless.

stormybadger8 said:element tactics Bush😉
You'll figure it out eventually.😳

Looks like Ferk already figured out the strategy while you're still miles away from even grasping it.
It's pretty clear now who the actual serious title contender is.😳

darkmarlin16 said:What’s the absolute latest I can get an offer posted?

And honestly, if there are rules in place, they should probably be written more clearly, because if there's a specific deadline for something, then it's just common sense to actually follow it, otherwise having a deadline is completely pointless, right? 😉

stormybadger8 said:Did I even quote that part of the rules?
What exactly is so unclear about that?😕

Look, everything's already laid out right there. What exactly do you want me to do, coach you through every single move?
You want me to give you the answer to Ferk's offer, or are you just acting like a kid?🙄

Crystal clear. Everything is exactly the same as it's been every single year.☕

If you want, you can reply to the old offer anytime between now and ten minutes before qualifying starts (specifically starting from midnight this morning).
Look, if you don't reply and then Ferk drops a new offer on you, you're obligated to respond to that one.
Ferk can send over a new offer whenever they want, as long as it's at least an hour and ten minutes before qualifying starts.

I mean, I guess, but I honestly don't get how you can't read what you just quoted right above.🤦

Look, the rules are right there in black and white. There’s really no point arguing about deadlines that clearly exist; it’s more like you just can't be bothered to read them.

Deadline is Tuesday at midnight. Don't even think about replying to the old offer before then.😳
Round 2 kicks off at 1:10 PM before qualifying starts. But look, you can still jump on the old offer between the first and second rounds if you want. It’s really up to you whether you play it safe and take the current deal now, or hold out hope for a better one once practice sessions roll around. Your call.

Do I need to draw you a diagram, or have you finally figured out how to play the Super League?

darkmarlin16 Asks:
Why on earth can't they make it a rule that all offers have to be submitted BEFORE the free practice sessions even start? Seriously. 🙄

I honestly think we need to tighten up the rulebook. We need some actual clarity here—no more "if this happens" or "unless that happens" or any other bullshit excuses. Let's just get it straight once and for all. 🙄 s:

Look, here's the deal: the person making the offer has to get everything on the table by midnight on Wednesday, and whoever’s responding needs to wrap it up before qualifying starts. Period.

stormybadger8 said:This is the Super League☕
The Super League is actually pretty intense because of all those "tactics" plays—it’s basically a pure mental game to see who blinks first.😁

It’s not just about some guy totally wrecking his prediction from last week with two quick tweaks and calling it a day.
You have to actually know how to play this, and you definitely need to know how to use tactics.

I’ve got a few ideas regarding rule changes, specifically concerning how offers and responses work since some people aren't even bothering to post them.
But I'm not looking to scrap the tactics element; if anything, I want to crank it up. 😈

And hey, if you’re staring at a killer offer and have absolutely no clue how to respond, just pay someone more experienced like a pro to help you out.😁🤣

Plus, you can always hit up the frontier for some advice.😉
That guy knows this game inside and out.☕

So, honestly, that deadline (Tuesday at midnight) used to be such a solid, well-structured rule. It was actually a brilliant piece of Tactics that we should definitely not mess with—not even by accident. 😁Honestly, now that stormybadger8 has basically turned the Super League into a complete mess and doesn't even know what he's grasping at anymore in those desperate attempts to justify himself, that rule has become... just totally ridiculous. I'm actually kicking myself for even writing it down two years ago. My bad. 😂
stormybadger8 Asks:
I gotta side with Max on this one—you definitely cooked up some seriously goofy and honestly terrible rules in certain sections.
Honestly, if I had tried to swap them out right in the middle of the race—or even better, halfway through Round 2—it wouldn't have made any sense at all.

Pat's offer counts for Bahrain because it was sent after the deadline and nobody responded during the Malaysia round.
And honestly, that nonsense rule you cooked up about there being a submission deadline that isn't actually a deadline? Yeah, don't pin that on me..

If Ferk had replied to that offer, it would have been for Malaysia. But since it was late and went unanswered, it defaulted to Bahrain.
Even if she’d just sent a fresh offer for Bahrain, people would be nitpicking, calling it an "edit" or a second forecast for Bahrain, and then you’d be right back at it, whining about irregularities.
If I had given Pat a 15-0 win because Ferk didn't reply, you’d claim I was breaking your stupid rule and try to penalize Ferk—even though by the rules, she should have gotten the 15-0 since the offer was late and she wasn't even online between the submission and the response deadline.

Seriously, this whole deep dive of yours is hilarious, especially since you're trying to justify a rule that YOU wrote. :rolle yes:

I actually have a question... if you think the rule is so stupid, why haven't you changed it? Why am I getting the blame for your own oversights? I wrote those rules two years ago; you've had more than enough time to fix them if they're really that bad. (Though, let's be real, looking at your posts, I know why you haven't: you think it's a great way to play dirty tactics, so this is mostly a rhetorical question 😁)

For a second there, I thought maybe you just didn't grasp how the deadlines work, which might explain this massive screw-up with the Pat situation... but based on what you wrote in bold red, it's clear you know perfectly well there are two separate deadlines for every race, including Malaysia.
1. Tuesday at midnight
2. Saturday, 1 hour and 10 minutes before qualifying
So, let me say it one more time for the people in the back: Pat respected the second deadline and submitted her offer for Malaysia.

Quote :
Pat's offer counts for Bahrain because it was sent after the deadline and nobody responded during the Malaysia round.

I just can't sit here and watch this absolute nonsense... these attempts to justify things are just desperate. 😂
Answer me one thing:
Why didn't you disqualify me in Round 5 (or even just point out a potential irregularity)?
See, I sent my first offer in Round 3 (just like Pat did), and I was way past the first deadline, only sending it Saturday morning. Pat didn't respond to mine either. Per your logic, shouldn't that late offer have counted for Round 5??? 😂
People are actually going to think this is legit and stop sending offers for the next round if they miss the previous one and their opponent stays silent. 🤣

It's unbelievable the lengths you'll go to just to save face: "stupid deadline rules are actually clever tactics," "Max is to blame because he wrote the rules two years ago," "the Malaysia offer is actually for Bahrain because no one answered"...
Just man up, admit you messed up, and spare us all from reading these "explanations."🤦
ruggedfox28 said:Funny how everything was perfectly peaceful while he was MIA... but now that he took an unexpected hit in the tournament, suddenly he's gone quiet. He's probably waiting for things to settle before posting his take on the league's mess and the Super League drama, even though according to him, the whole tournament has already hit rock bottom.🤣 🤣 🤣

We seriously need to get him registered and protected...😁

Hold on a second... did you actually ask if we were happy with how the championship is being run or if we had any complaints? Nope.
Did I write out my thoughts and grievances in a polite, civil way? Yep.
Did I say any of this before you came asking for our input? Not a chance.
And what the hell... why are you trying to link my performance in the tournament to this? What does one have to do with the other?
Plus, why even ask for an opinion if you can't handle hearing it?

As for that claim that "peace reigned everywhere" before I started posting more often... hey, we can debate that. Let the neutral observers decide for themselves if it was actually peaceful or if you're just talking nonsense to try and get a rise out of me.

Even though you brought up other competitions, I’m not going to dive into the Super League—which is basically on the verge of collapsing the whole system—or this current tournament that I’ve already stepped in to save from irregularities twice. I'll stick strictly to the championship since that’s what this thread is about... here are a few of my points...
So, what follows are just a few examples of the endless arguing, back-and-forth, and general chaos in this year's championship. Obviously, these aren't all the posts where people were clashing this season, just a selection I picked. It’s worth noting that all of these happened before I got knocked out in the last race, which is what ruggedfox28 thinks was the moment things started falling apart. 🤣

I gotta admit, I’m actually really glad you nudged me to go back and comb through this whole championship thread. Honestly, some of those "critical" moments had totally slipped my mind—or maybe I just missed them entirely. Before this, I was always so slammed for time that I was just scrolling through the season at lightning speed without really soaking anything in.
I haven't even bothered to sit down and count exactly how many controversial calls there were, but honestly? There were more than enough to make me call this whole championship the most disorganized mess I've ever seen.
Honestly, it's hard to tell just how many people are actually fed up with this year's championship and all the calls being made. We've seen a record number of red cards, warnings, and threats lately, so most folks are probably too scared to even speak up against the officiating for fear of being the next one to get penalized.

But after looking back through everything, I'm 100% certain about one thing: there's no way I'm voting for this current leadership team if they run in the 2013 Championship elections. ☕
Thanks for clearing that up for me, ruggedfox28... 😂
ruggedfox28 said:I said I'd check them "if I feel like it or if I find the time" 😉

..and who's saying I don't? I'm not crazy enough to clutter the thread with endless copies of predictions.. especially if it isn't even necessary since Terry Carter2 is basically spot-on so far... usually I just check the top ten for both myself and the crew. If we aren't in the top 10, I check the results too... honestly, I haven't caught an error from him yet, so I'm checking him less and less because there's just no point...

as for those other complaints, they were out of my hands anyway... 😬

that whole chaos happened because the rules weren't clear enough, so everyone was just doing their own thing...

I don't get it... what's the issue here? Is it that you're not feeling it or you're just too busy?
Nobody's telling you that you have to flood the thread with duplicate predictions... all you need to do is point out where the mistakes were, and that's it... or if everything went perfectly, just say you checked and it's all good...
You say you've been checking the top ten, but what about 11th, 12th, 13th... and so on? There were plenty of times where they were only 2 or 3 points away from the top ten, and maybe they missed out entirely just because of some error..?
Honestly... I think you've actually barely checked anything, if you've checked anything at all... but hey... that's just my two cents... 😁

I'm assuming the whole proposal is being accepted, which means we'll probably have two rounds of voting since it looks like there will be 3 or 4 candidates, right?

Quote : Maxyć could throw his hat in the ring, so show us what you've got when it comes to running things.😉

Well, I’ve already shown you how good I am at managing things by running all the competitions for two years straight, but apparently that wasn't quite enough for a few of you... 😁

Another big issue is that you aren't double-checking the results... It would be nice if you'd stop lying and making things up too... ☕

This is Pat's last post containing an entry/prediction
written on March 23, 2012, at 12:08 PM, right before the second race in Malaysia.
The absolute deadline for sending entries for Malaysia was March 24, 2012, at 7:50 AM.
So, there is zero doubt that Pat's last entry was specifically for Malaysia.

And just to make it crystal clear... look at Rosiyev in Canada during the 7th race of the season; they're responding to that exact same entry Pat sent back in Malaysia. This means no other entry was sent, which obviously means your claim about them having an entry for Bahrain is just a total fabrication—all just so you can try to cover up that massive blunder you made.

So, let's recap:
Australia: Pat sends an entry
Malaysia: Pat sends an entry
China: Nothing sent
Bahrain: Nothing sent
Spain: Nothing sent
Monaco: Should have been disqualified, but wasn't
Canada: Should have been disqualified, but wasn't
Europe: Finally disqualified, giving the win to Terry Carter2

That’s a fact, and honestly, it’s probably the biggest oversight by any moderator in the three years this Super League has been running... you directly impacted the results for four different competitors: Terry Carter2, Patagonia, Pangloss, and Rosiyev.

But seriously... where is this Bahrain entry? I've searched through all eight of Pat's posts in this thread and I don't see it anywhere. 🍿

Anything else I need to say? The sheer amount of stupidity in your post is actually impressive. 🤦
What am I supposed to do, let clones or some random kid run the Super League? 🙄
Recruiting players with a "hey, come join us and we'll let you play as a clone" system? 🤦
No, Max, I have absolutely no intention of letting clones compete. Nobody needs moderators like that. ☕

Oh boy... what am I even reading here... 😂
Now you're claiming you didn't let clones play... 😂 but right here you're saying you sent Sheldon several PMs, and over here we can clearly see that Gilbert totally shut you down, not the other way around... 😁
who even told you he wasn't allowed to play? 🍿

just accept the fact that something is seriously off with the Super League
if you ask me, the issue lies with the commissioner and how he runs things
and if you really think everything is fine on your end, then at least change something for the greater good, because some of these rules are just bad—and honestly, given your oversight, you probably don't even realize it...
something definitely needs to change. You can't just keep your eyes closed and keep telling yourself "there are no problems in the Super League," because it's obvious this isn't heading anywhere good... 😉
I’m thinking we should push the deadline back to August 30th, 2012.
It would be awesome to give any potential leaders enough breathing room during that gap between the Canadian and Belgian races to really nail their applications. That way, they can actually show us what they're about and pitch any cool new ideas or changes they want to bring to the table 😁
If more than two people end up running, I say we just do it in two rounds

It would all be sunshine and rainbows if you weren't the one failing to send bids and respond to them☕
Pat isn't playing because he's pissed off over some stupid pet nonsense involving 100-point penalty cards for spamming.🤦
And aside from you two, the only bid/response that actually went through was that Panglossian one—as far as I know, nobody else has sent anything.

As for those two guys on the roster who aren't playing, they literally don't exist on the forum, so I don't see how they'd play if they don't even post here, let alone on F1.

Regarding the standings, I already told you I won't have time to do them since I'm on my PC, and I'm definitely not doing them on my phone—let alone trying to send them via GPRS.😳

The rules were written ages ago, but nobody besides you has even commented on them, so I haven't changed anything. If you actually read them, it's clear the whole point was to have the first "provisional" bids submitted at the start of the season during registration to prevent people from missing deadlines.☕
Introducing those kinds of rules halfway through the season just doesn't make much sense.🤷

Yeah, including me among others...
And I didn't send any because we had a lousy moderator who came up with some pretty terrible rules.
Pat isn't playing because she's absolutely fed up with all the nonsense regarding pets where people get handed 100-point penalties just for spamming.🤦

If she actually wanted to play, she would, right?
Aside from you two, the only offer/response that hasn't been sent is Pangloss's and maybe a few others as far as I know.

Ugh... man, there are plenty of unsent offers... I’d say there are at least 11, correct me if I'm wrong... 😁

Regarding those two on the list who aren't playing, they literally don't even exist on the forum, so I don't see how they could play when they don't even have posts here, let alone in F1.

Don't insult the intelligence of the people reading this... you know damn well that at least one of those two is definitely active on the forum.😂
As for the tables, I said I wouldn't have time since I'm at work, and I'm definitely not doing them on my phone, and I'm certainly not trying to send them over GPRS.😳

Was it really that hard to just write out the overall standings like you did for the last race?
As for the rules, they were written ages ago, but nobody besides you has even commented on them so I haven't changed them. If you've read them, it's clear the main idea is that the first "provisional" offers should be sent at the start of the season during registration so we can avoid people failing to send their offers on time.☕
Honestly, dropping rules like this halfway through the season just doesn't make any sense at all.🤷

I mean, how many people actually needed to weigh in before these changes went live? Only one person spoke up and supported them.
How many people voted on you becoming the Super League commissioner? Not a single soul, yet here you are, crowning yourself the boss anyway.

stormybadger8 said:It would actually make sense to cut the tournament that had fewer participants this season than usual.
But no, let's go after the Championship first, which is basically just a headache and endless arguments every single year anyway.

Scrapping a Super League that supposedly "has zero issues" just doesn't make any sense at all.

No problems? Seriously?

Isn't the fact that interest has tanked a massive problem for you?
Look at the engagement levels compared to previous seasons... I'm looking at the week before the first race, the first eight races of the season, and the four days following the eighth race, just to keep things fair...
In 2010, there were 455 posts; in 2011, there were 633; but for 2012, we're sitting at only 270.
In other words... this year's Super League is about as thrilling as watching a C-SPAN broadcast.

And that's not even touching on the other huge, unfixable messes... like how your massive oversight made the whole Super League totally irregular...
Pat sent their final offer/response regarding Malaysia
But after that, nothing was sent for China, Bahrain, or Spain.
The rules clearly state that a competitor is automatically disqualified after three consecutive missed offers or responses.
At that point, the commissioner should have activated the first reserve if one was available.
Instead, the commissioner just sat on it and let a disqualified competitor stay in the game for the next two races (Monaco and Canada), even though there was a reserve itching to play. By doing that, you robbed Terry Carter2 of a chance to participate in two full rounds, while directly handing points to Pangloss and Rosiyev on a silver platter.

Max, come on, write up a piece about the Super League too! ☕

Honestly, I’m just not feeling the hype for this year's Super League...

Two guys who actually have the right to compete haven't even stepped onto the field all season.
Then there's a third player who bailed mid-season,
and the next guy on the reserve list doesn't seem interested in playing either.
So when the next dropout happens—and I'm betting we see at least one more before the season wraps up—it'll be the fifth reserve getting a shot. 🤣
We're looking at a record number of unplayed matches and wins by default.
Hardly anyone is even bothering to send in offers on Tuesdays anymore.
They're dragging their feet on purpose when it comes to fixing those key, broken parts of the rulebook.
Practice sessions were already happening in Valencia, yet we still don't even know the standings because they haven't released the total points from Canada.
I could go on and on, but why bother?

When I add it all up... I have to ask myself: is this year's Super League even worth talking about?
Of course... the answer is pretty obvious... 😁
