IMDb Oscar Manheim Manny (Jon Voight) plays a hardened convict and expert safecracker serving time in an Alaskan prison. Once the warden receives orders to move Manny back into the general population, he immediately starts mapping out an escape route. Buck (Eric Roberts), a fellow inmate working the laundry, decides to jump on the opportunity and join him. I'm just messing around. Given how incredibly stubborn he is, there really isn't any other way to handle this... 🙂

Honestly, I think the easiest fix would be to just block every single IP address coming out of Chicago...

Sure thing, I'll get around to opening it later on...

Should we go with the master plan here, or are you just going to throw both albums into a random generator like random.org and let fate decide which one wins?

Someone recently pointed me toward this record. It's one of those legendary underground albums that basically paved the way for an entire generation of artists...

Steven Newman50 said:You have to consider that all these "actors" are basically just amateurs who happened to work with the director on commercials before this... so of course they all look good, exactly like you said...

It isn't just the kids, either; most of the supporting cast is actually pretty great. Even Divna’s uncle is a total hunk...

Steven Newman50 said:There’s a massive variety of different concepts floating around for this project, and while we’re definitely keeping it kid-friendly, one of the core pillars used during the screenwriting process touches on something a bit more serious...

Are you actually implying cannibalism here? Honestly, anything can be packaged to look kid-friendly if you try hard enough, and that includes stuff like that...

I have to say, I actually enjoyed the set design. The outdoor scenes were clearly shot on a soundstage, but the sets were laid out so poorly that everything looks totally fake—like that one shot where you can see about twenty different mountain peaks crowded into the background... The special effects are also top-tier, if you consider "hilariously bad" to be top-tier. All the actors are easy on the eyes, though they really could have cast at least one decent character actor to ground things. Once the chaos kicks in, the plot gets a little messy and hard to follow. It’s clearly aimed at a teenage audience, but honestly, anyone could sit through it; plus, it hasn't aged much, so it feels just as ridiculous today as it did when it first came out.

Anything less than dive bar anthems and pure, unadulterated trashy pop isn't even worth considering... With this kind of music, you're hitting the ceiling with your bare hands, even when you're stone-cold sober.

I haven't actually sat down to watch it, but from what I gather, that movie basically tore apart the modern Hollywood landscape or maybe just nuked the Western genre entirely. Something like that...

Charles Ramos4 said:I noticed quite a few people acting surprised when someone brings up Madonna, so it’s entirely possible they just don't realize how many massive hits from the 80s and 90s she actually penned...

That’s the truth. She wrote a whole bunch of Gaga's hits back when they were just hanging out together.
I'm not sure if this list is totally exhaustive, though, since it doesn't mention "On the Other Side of the Pillow."

I was mostly thinking along the lines of how John Belushi just wasn't much of an actor, though I suppose it would have been a lot more interesting if he’d actually been in it, just because of the sheer chaos factor...

Shaun of the Dead in Movies ·
I still think it holds up just as well as it did when I first saw it; Shaun and Ed really are the perfect duo, and I actually found myself digging the side characters quite a bit—the stepfather, the brother, and the guy caught up in the romance... It’s just such a shame that what would have been absolute perfection was undercut by that one tired cliché you see in every single movie like this, where there’s always one or two idiots who completely blow the whole thing and land everyone in deep trouble.

I can't stop thinking about that one specific scene where they're all crowded into some dusty old saloon... there's a guy playing the upright piano, or whatever you call that instrument they lean against the wall in those classic Westerns. He's just playing away, surrounded by a few folks, and then you see his reflection caught in a mirror on the ceiling.
