but they can figure it out on their own for now 🙂
it'll probably take them at least two more races to get a first version of the DD diffuser Ma put together 😁

They'll get it sorted, don't sweat it; it doesn't matter which race it lands, because the DD diffuser Ma will be ready, especially since Renault has already been testing different versions and the prototypes are already sitting there waiting...

hollowhawk412 said:look, it wasn't just that Renault's Mass Damper was ruled legal; every single team was running them, and they'd been doing it for over a year before
someone decided on a whim to reclassify them as movable aerodynamic
components. I know for a fact that Ferrari and Brawn were among the loudest voices calling for a ban once they realized how much better the TMD worked with the Michelin tires.

I'm sure the MCM fans still have nightmares about that whole Berlie situation... and Brawn was right there leading the charge back then too.

That wasn't an episode, it was a straight-up horror movie. ☕
I will admit one thing though, the teams shouting the loudest about banning diffusers were the exact same ones who were most vocal about... well, le Brawn's proposal. On the flip side, this season's start has so many loopholes in the rulebook that I honestly believe even if the proposal passed, we'd just end up back in court over some other system, thanks to the FIA's predictably idiotic regulations...

hollowhawk412 said:Just so you know, word on the street is that McM might actually show up to the GP of China-Shanghai with a double Diffuser 😉

Honestly, seeing how much aero paint they’ve splashed all over that car lately, I guess it's about time they actually "test drive" it... 👍 Right all the way through to a disqualification... 😬 😢

hollowhawk412 said:I was reading through this report about the upcoming GP of China-Shanghai, and honestly, it’s just more of the same nonsense you’d expect from NASCAR. It feels like we’re just circling the drain waiting for something actually interesting to happen, much like that rainy weekend I spent stuck in a Chicago suburb with nothing to do but watch the weather change. They're talking about technical regulations and performance gaps again, but at this point, it all feels pretty hollow.

"It’s just infuriating, honestly, because we actually went to Charlie to ask if a double Diffuser setup like this would fly, and they flat-out told us it was against the rules, so we dropped the whole thing even though our engineers were already leaning in that direction," Mark said.

I can't help but wonder how much this is going to mess with cornering speeds. It feels like we're headed straight for a situation where the cars are moving way too fast, and that extra airflow from the double Diffuser is almost certainly going to kill any chance of overtaking, which honestly just flies in the face of everything those working groups supposedly agreed upon.

This part right here is what really matters...

I honestly can't stand those clowns over at NASCAR; the whole organization is just a complete joke.

Looks like Seth is going to stick me with another yellow card because I just can't seem to keep my behavior in check. 😁

hollowhawk412 ...I'm with you on that. 🙏🙏 👍

I can already see a bunch of teams trying to pull stunts like the McLaren ones at the GP of USA-Austin, where they were basically just taping everything together to cheat the system. 😁

And don't even get me started on the aero paint... 👍

Kevin Long20 said:Rubens Barrichello mentioned his diffuser got absolutely trashed right after the first lap in Australia, so clearly, it’s not just about the diffuser itself...

Look, obviously it isn't just about the diffuser; it's an aero component that triggers a whole domino effect of issues, but if it was actually smashed, there's no way that car would have had that kind of grip.☕

Just waiting on my pizza to show up in about fifteen minutes 🙏🙏 and honestly, I’m still trying to wrap my head around how McLaren ended up on the podium 😍

Morgan Murphy7 said:honestly, yeah😁

I’ve been following Fernando Alonso for so long that if there’s even a ghost of a chance he might scrape together a single point, I’m practically shaking with excitement🤣

You know how they say modesty is a virtue?👍 Well, I think I’ve got a little bit of that myself...😁

Morgan Murphy7 said:you have to be realistic and just admit the car accounts for about 90% of a race's success

and that remaining 10% is what allows guys like Fernando Alonso or Lewis Hamilton to pull away and keep whoever is chasing them at bay for a few laps🤷

I mean, I see where you're coming from, but I wouldn't call it a hard 90/10 split—unless we're talking about an absolutely dominant machine—it's more like a sliding scale where a smart tactical move at the right moment can make a huge difference even if you're driving a slower car, though obviously, it works both ways too...🤷

Honestly, looking at the absolute junk being driven by both Hamilton and Alonso lately, just seeing them scrape together any points at all feels like a win to me.🤣🤣

With all this nonsense going on in this weather... Hamilton is just a big 🙏🙏

But a KIMI - 🤣🤣 🙏🙏 what an absolute legend!!

Roger Wright94 said:The edge you get with those DD diffusers is just too massive, so all this talk from Renault, Ferrari, and the rest of them is basically noise for the next couple of races.

The runoff areas and gravel traps here are huge, which really kills any chance of seeing a Safety Car.
So, honestly, unless it starts pouring rain—which is the only way anyone else stands a prayer of mixing things up—it’s pretty much a foregone conclusion.

But the real question is, when do we actually see the rules on diffusers change?, or rather, when will the other teams actually be allowed to run them at a track? That’s the big issue everyone's staring down following what happened in Washington, D.C.

It's happening on the 14th of this month...

So hollowhawk412, what's the deal? 😁:

Nothing wrong with what he said, really—Fernando Alonso is just sticking his nose where it doesn't belong, and that's the whole story...🤷 ☕

Give me a break, what even counts as my bad calls 🙏🙏

I mean, once Felipe Massa and Nelson Piquet Jr. tear through the field using KERSOM right at the start and blow past everyone up to 4th place... 😂😂 things are finally going to get interesting...

Now that Kimi is sitting at the top—even if it was just during the second practice session—suddenly he’s gone crazy.
Last year, when everyone else was basically getting screwed over while he was outperforming them, he was supposedly the genius.

Give me a break.

What a classic🤣🤣 👍
