It’s not really the uploading part that stresses me out, it’s more about whether the photos actually stay on Reddit long-term.
I know it all comes down to the hosting sites (I usually go with Imgur, but honestly, even that isn't much better than others). You upload a shot, everything looks great, and then suddenly months or years later, the image just vanishes and leaves nothing but a broken link or a site logo behind.
The thing is, ever since 2008, my Luna 😍 has been keeping this photo diary that both the newbies and some of the old-timers here love to scroll through from the very beginning. But now, some of those photos are gone, and without them, the whole story just loses its meaning. (It’s the same headache I’m having over in the 'All My Shades of Green' thread 😢. Good grief, I put so much effort into picking out the perfect shots!) I see people still visiting that thread and I’d love to keep posting pictures of pretty trees, but it’s hard to stay motivated when I know they might just disappear into thin air eventually.
So, my question is: is there any kind of way to basically "freeze" my photos forever—like, as long as this site exists? Maybe something like taking screenshots? (Though I guess even those might be at the mercy of some external service 🤔.)

Just while we're waiting to hear back from the experts, I thought I'd mention that removing healthy breasts—or even ovaries and the uterus—isn't exactly a new thing here in the States. I remember reading this story about ten years ago about an American woman who was still in her prime fertility years (I think she was in her thirties?) and decided to just have it all removed because there was a history of cancer in her family. It made huge headlines, and people were actually cheering her on for being so "brave" and making such a "smart" call. Personally? I wasn't so sure about that move myself.
And honestly, if you look back thirty or forty years, hysterectomies were incredibly common as a preventative measure against cancer right here in America, too. People were getting healthy uteri removed left and right just for that reason. But then, just a few years back, I read a piece where the medical community basically admitted that it was largely unnecessary all along.

It honestly blows my mind how people can be sitting there wondering if they need emergency medical attention, and instead of just calling 911, they hop on an internet forum and wait hours for a reply. Like, we aren't doctors! There are actual medical teams across the US ready to jump into action right now, but they can't help you through a message board.🙄
Is it just me, or has anyone else been having trouble getting into their DMs for the last couple of hours? I can browse through all the different threads on the forum just fine, but whenever I try to check my private messages, it’s like nothing happens.

I bet you're probably leaning forward too much while driving—you know, that classic "tech neck" posture? It can really strain those neck muscles, which might be constricting blood flow and causing less oxygen getting to your brain. That would explain why your vision acts up and then settles down once you step out of the car, fix your posture, let those muscles relax, and get everything flowing normally again.
Anyway, just try typing neck vertebrae vision into Google, and you'll see plenty of stuff about how spinal issues can mess with your sight. If I were you, I'd probably go see a physical therapist; that feels like your best bet for getting some relief.
My Luna chose this forum as her little corner to share her adventures through photos and stories 😁, and I’m just here playing assistant, helping her make sure everything she writes and posts looks neat and tidy.
One thing that’s actually pretty important to me is having those photos centered. About a year or two ago, when some updates happened on the forum, all the images suddenly "drifted" over to the left. I didn't complain at the time, even though it kind of bugs my eyes visually.
On top of that, there were a couple of spots where I posted 9 pictures—three per row—with names typed right underneath each one, perfectly centered under the corresponding photo. I checked today, and oh boy, it's a total mess 😲. For instance, take this post. If you want to see the chaos for yourself, just head straight to it (it's post #312, way down on page 16) 🙂
Also, in post #302, I had 9 photos of a motorcycle engine, but now I only see six. Like, an entire row just vanished into thin air. Please, can I have my row back! 🙂 😁
Since the width of the forum hasn't changed, I've been adjusting my photo-storytelling to fit, so how the whole of Luna's thread looks really matters to me. So, I was wondering if the admins could somehow let me fix these "messy" pages (maybe by resizing the images or re-centering the names...) , especially since people still drop by to read the whole thread from the very beginning every once in a while.

Spirituality isn't really about the skill itself, you know? It’s more about the person behind the craft. I honestly feel like there isn't a single talent out there that we can't either totally cheapen through "selling out" or actually elevate through true spirituality. Right from the jump, I’ve been super careful about centering everything. Since I first dreamed up this whole comic book layout, getting that aesthetic just right has been a huge deal for me. Honestly, I haven't a clue if this recent drift toward the left side happened because of some weird server update or something else entirely, but they've definitely shifted out of place.

So, my partner and I have been working on this adorable little photo album for our pet. We’re basically writing these tiny stories about all of Moon's little adventures, styled like a comic strip. Each new installment features four photos, which we always try to center right in the middle of the thread using this icon .
But here's the thing—everything was going great until we hit the fifth page, and now all the photos have suddenly drifted way over to the left side 😕. Is there any way at all to nudge them back to the center where they belong? 🙏

😕I mean, I’ve definitely heard the words "battery," "autonomous," and "tests" individually, but hearing all three lumped together like that? Never. And trust me, I've dealt with some pretty weird medical jargon before...
The closest thing I can think of is a "series of autoimmune tests"🤔. Maybe that's what they meant? 🤷

It’s not even that I’m unhappy, it’s just that I’m feeling so bitter.
My mother was basically left to pass away in the most heartbreaking way possible. She didn't get a full diagnostic workup, and because of that, she never received the right kind of care. It all happened because they discriminated against her based on her age and her diagnosis.
I honestly don't have the energy or the heart left to talk about my own struggles as a patient.
So, here’s my little thought: what if we just added a Linguistics sub-thread under the Social Science PDF? We could move all those language-focused discussions over there.
Actually, even better—why not give Linguistics its own dedicated PDF entirely? Just like how Psychology eventually got its own space 👍
The thing is, since the Social Science section is already packed with planned topics about languages and dialects, all the other sociology, anthropology, and ethnology stuff tends to get buried. Or people just end up scattering them across random other threads whenever they feel like it.

If her general health allows for it—she’ll definitely need to clear it through a pre-anesthesia exam at the local clinic—she can totally insist on general anesthesia. That way, she won't feel a thing during the procedure, and once it's over, the doctors on the floor will handle prescribing the pain meds. Good luck!
Yeah, my mom did have the surgery under local anesthesia. But since she's 82 and dealing with angina, her cardiologist actually recommended sticking to local anesthesia, though they wanted an anesthesiologist present the whole time. That's really why I'm so worried about the pain; she went through it during the last one and it was just so hard on her.
Is it actually possible to push for that regional anesthesia so we don't have a repeat of that painful situation? The procedure is going to be at Holy Spirit (her last one was at Mayo Clinic, but she was on a 15-month waiting list there, so we decided to switch hospitals).
