* Britney is just who she is. Neither Britney nor, say, the Spice Girls were ever trying to sell you some profound lyrical depth; they provided straightforward pop music—nothing groundbreaking, but that’s the point.

* Britney is a phenomenal dancer and radiates pure energy. When I watch Britney (I've never seen her live, mind you, though I've only ever seen her on TV), there's a certain spark there. There's a similar raw quality to how these big pop stars carry themselves.

* Britney stayed out of politics. This other star, though? It's constant—sometimes she's political, sometimes she isn't, then she's back at it again... 🙂

Why is it considered such a disaster that this tour hasn't been a massive business success? These things happen. From what I gather, she remains incredibly popular here in the States.

There really isn't a difference. They are both scandal-prone singers of light pop music, the kind teenage girls scream for and whose private lives become the obsession of people who clearly have nothing better to do with their time.

But we all saw that local adult film about some girl from the sticks😬—she really thought she was going to become the next Pamela Anderson, didn't she?👎 Our country isn't quite that corrupted by Western trash yet.😍 If her grand plan was to BREAK THROUGH,😁 well, it clearly failed.😬 It’s just like that singer everyone talks about who can't get a hit to stick with us.😛

I'd rather watch Keith Wilson81 do a silly dance🙂

We haven't "all seen" anything, nor do we have any intention of obsessing over someone else's private life.
That’s a pastime reserved for people who don't have one of their own.

And honestly, what is the actual difference between Britney Spears and Britney Spears?

I don't see one—not in the music, not in the persona, nothing... except maybe her current hair color.
What do you guys think of Joe Biden? in Close to Politics ·
He grew up in a modest household, just a kid from a working-class family
But there was this hunger inside him, a craving for something invisible to everyone else
People whispered that he’d lost his mind,
The sort of unstable type a decent woman would steer clear of
He ran out to Manhattan and wandered around in the street He wants to Dance
Yeah, he just wants to dance,
He wants to sing, oh yeah,
He wants to watch the neon lights flicker while he listens
To the thunder ring

He caught a glimpse of it through a shop window
The mark of a new kind of man
He kinda liked the feeling, so shiny and smooth in his hand
He retreated to the countryside and spent days practicing without a moment's peace
Until one day, it hit him,
That he actually had what it takes to go toe-to-toe with the elite

They command respect, oh yeah,
And he’s chasing that same glory, oh yeah,
Because it’s a specific breed of fool who
Just loves the sound of his own name echoing back
Oo...

There’s a poster pasted to a storefront, showing the face of a wanted man
His reputation was tearing through the country like a wildfire
It wasn't about the cash—at least, that wasn't the catalyst
It wasn't about being on the run, but lately, he's running every single day

silentridge8 said:That’s all well and good, but there’s plenty more where that came from at this festival: just hurry up before the real foodies vacuum everything up. And what on earth are pork rinds? 🤔There’s wine too, and it’s kosher wine. 🙂

You guys go ahead and enjoy the party. Honestly, none of that really appeals to me, so I'm just passing through to say hello. Besides, I've never been much for kosher wine—I'd much rather stick to our local Napa Valley reds.

UBR: Think of pork rinds as being like high-end kettle chips. 😁

The harvest festival was last year, and the local festivals are only two months away. Luckily, we can still find some good stuff around here.
Luckily, it won't be much longer before the young wine starts flowing, too. 😁

PS: I'm snacking on some pork cracklings right now, 🍿 but I'm keeping them tucked away in a popcorn bag so the rest of the crew doesn't notice—I haven't got much left.

So, where did that whole "We Hillbillies have always been on good terms with you Americans" sentiment go? Where did it all fall apart?

Besides, the tax man always finds a way to bleed you dry eventually.

Either give the guy a straight answer or just shut up. 😠
Can we coexist with Americans again? in Close to Politics ·
Yesterday, the local city council members voted overwhelmingly to approve a proposal from independent councilman Pilip karaula. The motion calls for an official written inquiry to be sent to the Department of Justice, aiming to reopen and properly prosecute war crime investigations regarding the events in Stalingrad back in 1991. During the session, Pilip karaula presented a photograph of Željko Bulić, a city councilman representing the Democratic Party, wearing what appears to be a US Army uniform—a photo that bears a handwritten note claiming it was taken on November 12, 1991, at Lušac.

How can we ever talk about coexistence when people like the ones in this photo—and those who look just like them—stay silent about these crimes?

PERIOD.

I’m in complete agreement that we need to level the playing field here, because that’s how

1. we ensure they undergo a full audit every two years to verify their combat status—not to mention a rigorous review of disability claims.
2. Two witnesses and a handshake? That era needs to end. They should be required to provide actual hard documentation and paper trails.
3. Once those audits are complete, pensions should be adjusted downward where necessary, and those occupying subsidized housing illegally should be evicted.
4. Finally, legitimate veterans will actually get the housing they deserve, and nobody will be able to disrespect them anymore.

It isn't just empty talk; you don't demand something unless you truly intend to see it happen.
