Look, honestly... she clearly hasn't got a clue what's actually going on with you. You might be better off just finding someone else—maybe ask around for a solid recommendation or something...
Why does everyone think the doctor has no clue about what "ovulation" even means? It seems pretty obvious to me that we're looking at PCOS here—the doctor nailed the diagnosis and handed over the right treatment plan. Honestly, the only real gripe you could have is that she didn't sit down and explain the whole thing to the patient... but come on, imagine dealing with someone in real life who just refuses to take their meds because they "don't feel like it." Every doctor struggles with people like that...

Like, what kind of class is this? That crowd would eat me alive. 🙂
Well, if one of them didn't snap at you first...
Look, OP—and I say this as someone who deals with similar gynecological issues all the time—we really need to just go to the doctor. We talk to them, we ask questions when things don't make sense, and we don't just make major medical decisions based on whether or not we "feel" like doing something. If you don't trust your doctor, then fine, find a new one... but please, don't try to play doctor and prescribe your own treatments or anything like that.
EDIT: And seriously, I’m saying this with nothing but good intentions here.

Sorry, Christian Sanchez44—and look, I really respect you—but you are being incredibly, incredibly wrong here. What you’re describing isn't a failure of the entire healthcare system... it’s just one nurse being arrogant and rude. I know plenty of women who have "public" OBGYNs who will happily write out prescriptions they just copied from a private specialist (I actually heard about this recently on another thread, looked into it, and realized it's actually pretty common practice)...
I honestly think it's a huge mistake—and kind of unfair—to take one person's bad attitude and pin it on the whole medical system.
Honestly, don't even let it get to you—you can tell right away he’s just one of those guys who pops into the health sub to try and hawk his "miracle cures"...
Seriously, just go see a private doctor right away—don't sit around waiting two months for an appointment with some specialist when you might have esophageal inflammation...

I wouldn't say so, but I can't be one hundred percent sure... Honestly, you should probably just check if it's actually a dairy thing first—like, try going the whole day without eating anything, then have some milk but don't go chugging an entire gallon, you know? Then you'll see...
hm, it’s kind of hard to believe you just woke up one day and suddenly became lactose intolerant...
you're still pretty young, right? it's possible you've actually dealt with some level of intolerance your whole life—maybe just a mild version that didn't really bother you—and now that you're hitting those teenage years, it's finally catching up to you. maybe try testing it one more time, just to be absolutely sure it's actually the dairy causing the trouble...

Look, sorry if I'm poking around in your personal business (I guess we all kind of meddle in each other's lives here, whether it's being helpful or just plain nosy), but it feels to me like the real issue—the root of everything—is actually the friction with your husband and how little he seems to get about what you're going through with your health. That’s probably why things feel so shaky elsewhere, too.
Man, I could go on and on about how hard it is for a healthy person to adjust to living with someone who's sick, or how tough it is to find that perfect balance where both people feel supported without losing themselves... but I won't. That would be a bit much, even for me...
I am honestly just so happy you decided to come back to us...
So, I actually spent this past week over in Palm Springs—and look, I know they aren't the exact same places you're talking about—but I totally get what you mean. Based on everything I saw there personally, I just can't wrap my head around how anyone is supposed to actually get better (or even see a tiny bit of improvement!) at those spas...
