Harold Chavez44 said:I suppose I don't know which version of the movie you watched, but he definitely used a spork—that plastic hybrid thing—which the warden handed him when he asked for utensils.

He used a bone. A literal steak bone. Not some flimsy plastic spork. It’s quite obvious. He was holding the wider end of the bone, and it pierced his throat.

I'll grab a screenshot, maybe then this ridiculous debate about how someone could be killed by plastic will finally end.

No, the perfect ending would have been for Clyde to just finish them all off, exactly how he planned. But I guess you can't expect that from an American movie. They always let morality and those tired little messages get in the way.

If anyone thinks otherwise, maybe an admin can clarify.

The actual photos aren't even the main issue; the real problem is how moderators on various subforums allow people to mock Melvin using the absolute lowest level of discourse possible.
There might not be a specific rule against it, but I find it utterly repulsive.
It reminds me of those kids who pick on the weakest one in the group, surrounding them and shoving them around while hurling insults...
But then again, maybe I’m just losing it and getting worked up over nothing. Perhaps I'm just old-fashioned while the rest of you are so much more progressive...

If you find my photo online, feel free to 😬. No one actually claimed "this is Melvin," and nobody uploaded her photo themselves—they just shared a link to where she had already posted it.

The internet is a nasty place; posting pictures and expecting total anonymity is just delusional.
Once photos hit the internet, they belong to everyone. For instance, you can find Mel's pictures on Google in about two minutes flat 😉

So, I guess there really isn't any privacy violation happening here; they were posted on a public forum. Even if they’re just on Facebook, they're still out there on the web—what happens when a friend just grabs them and reshared? Look at how photos of various American celebrities end up online all the time. There's no crime being committed, nor is anyone breaking any laws or rights ☕

People need to realize that once you put something online, it's done. There's no going back. Those images can end up on a hundred different sites and you can't really complain about it. Nobody hacked Mel's email or used some illegal method to get her photos. Just because she posted something on Forum A doesn't mean it can't be shown on Forum B. Whether she wants that or not is a separate issue entirely.

Just because you posted something decent doesn't mean I'm going to side with Anderlon and ban you. ☕

It’s exhausting when I remember there are people opposing any kind of progress just because they claim it "destroys the spirit of the game and its unpredictability."☕

Referees should be minimized to the absolute bare essentials. They ought to function merely as tools within the game, rather than individuals dictating the entire flow of the match. Perhaps we could simply station VAR officials around the pitch, use cameras, put sensors in the ball, and introduce all those other technical gimmicks.

Goodness, people have called me all sorts of things, but they've never quite managed to label me a leftist 🤣
When exactly does he become "a little bit Nazi" 😬? Is that comparable to those 200 families from the Harmon era, I guess?
Well, you spent all this time demanding he be fenced in, and now suddenly he’s not quite fitting the bill. 🤣

I suppose a visit to Auschwitz and some gifts to the TV stations would be enough, if you even care to ask.

Mark, maybe just tell them all to go to hell. Half of America loves you, the other half never will, and we all know why. 😬
Or maybe just blow up a subway system—it's a trivial example, obviously detached from reality.😬 Or perhaps it's actually possible.
Could Israel join NATO? in World ·
Of course they’ll join NATO. I’d probably expect them to join the European Union too, given the circumstances. They share absolutely nothing in common with their neighbors, so meaningful relations just don't seem possible. Honestly, their culture feels much more aligned with Europe than some of our other nearby countries, if you catch my drift... 😬
Highest-grossing movies of all time list in Movies ·
I had no idea The Dark Knight actually broke the billion mark. Honestly, looking at this list, all those Harry Potter movies and the Pirates of the Caribbean sequels are a massive surprise to me. I guess I just don't see how they managed to rake in that much cash. And when you consider there was once a debate about whether Star Wars would eventually overtake Titanic, it’s wild how these films just bypassed Star Wars without much fanfare at all.
Even in Vietnam, they didn't suffer a defeat in military terms, I guess.
My condolences to our people 👋

It’s interesting how conflicts everywhere seem to boil down to other religions versus Muslims. If it were just a matter of walls versus Muslims, I suppose one could argue they share equal blame. But once you factor in Christians—which brings up that old, tired dream of an Islamic America, even if we aren't anywhere near that reality, though I guess humans love to hope—and then toss in Buddhism, arguably the most peaceful faith of them all, I think it becomes pretty obvious where the trouble lies. 😬

Best online payment cards? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
I’m starting a new thread because I have a question. I’m trying to buy something online, but I only have an older Intel card that lacks a CVV code. Even though the site says it accepts it, I suspect nothing will actually go through without that code. Apparently, it's possible to shop online now, so maybe I need to head to the bank to request a replacement? Can I just walk into any Coca-Cola branch to sort this out, or do I need to talk to someone specific? I really don't want to look like an idiot by interrupting some poor woman at a teller window 😬 How long is the wait usually? It's somewhat urgent, I guess. Thanks 🙂
Should we introduce a new alphabet? in Close to Politics ·
It might be better to spend your energy teaching Europeans the difference between distinct American phonemes rather than wasting it on such trivial nonsense.
