The Fratellis 😍, man, I just saw they're hitting our area—honestly, they're the only act on this lineup worth mentioning
. Not that I've grabbed a ticket yet, though. Prices have gotten totally ridiculous lately, and let's be real, there's always some random last-minute price drop right when you finally decide to bite 😢
Hormonal Contraception: The Pill [General Discussion] in Women's Health ·
Kimberly Ross3 said:Man, my very first cycle lasted 16 days... and during those 16 days, I ended up visiting my gynecologist three different times! Each time, she just kept insisting everything was totally normal because my body was basically reacting to the shock of it all—just telling me to take care of myself, eat enough, and whatnot. After that whole ordeal, everything went back to being fine; all my subsequent cycles were just like they usually are, nothing crazy.

As for the Belmiran thing, you should probably dig through the actual instructions for both the medication and the Belara—there's gotta be something written in there somewhere.

It’s day 12 for me today and it’s still going—actually, it kind of picked up again. It went back to being full strength after that weird brownish phase, I guess. Hopefully it’ll finally wrap up in a couple of days because, honestly, I’m just exhausted from dealing with this.🙄

There is absolutely nothing written on either Belmiran or Belar about this. I know I shouldn't take them if I'm on St. John's Wort, and while Belmiran doesn't have that, it definitely has some other ingredient in there...🤷

I've been on Belari since the start of the week—and honestly, aside from that first day where I felt all achy, super cranky, and had this nagging little headache, I haven't really dealt with any other side effects
The only thing on my mind right now is: how long can a period actually last? Because at this rate, it feels like it’s never going to end, you know?
Also, quick question—is it okay if I take Belmiran alongside it? I need it every now and then just to deal with stress levels
Anyone seen Philomena (2013)? in Movies ·
I have to say, this movie caught me totally off guard—it’s such a gut-wrenching confession that I don't think anyone could just sit there and stay indifferent to it.
I mean, the whole thing is actually true, including the part about her son serving as an advisor to Bush... honestly, I had absolutely no clue about that bit.
Phil is just such a powerhouse of a woman, truly compassionate to her core. She follows her own instincts—which she feels aren't even sinful, really—but because she’s a devoted Catholic woman, she still sticks to Catholic doctrine and feels like she shouldn't have acted the way she did.
The way they use those retrospective shots and the way Phil carries the entire film... it's all in her eyes, watching everything with this sense of hopelessness, knowing full well you can't turn back the clock.
I really loved how simple the movie was, too—no flashy special effects or over-the-top tech needed.
Rating: 8/10

I totally forgot to mention how much this movie hammers home that whole homophobic, super conservative vibe from the South—it’s absolutely loaded with messages, honestly more than 12 Years a Slave ever was. Because of that, I'm giving it the edge in this matchup 🙂

Come on, don't give up now! I'm out here dreaming about a matchup between the USA and Denmark—that’s always an absolute battle ☕

Exactly. ☕
Those Poles are just like the Swedes—chanting at a hundred miles an hour! It’s making our guys look seriously uncomfortable out there.
FIBA World Cup: USA vs Poland 31:28 in Other Sports ·
They’re driving me absolutely insane—what kind of offense is this even supposed to be? It feels like Dom Duvnjak is out there playing one-on-five just to keep us in the game 🙄
I mean, sure, we've got a couple of wingers floating around, but the ball movement is just nonexistent, honestly.
Look, our odds aren't exactly great—but honestly, who cares? Denmark is a powerhouse, and we've got everything we can throw at them 🙏
Man, Denmark is just... 😍 😍
Our guys finally woke up and actually started playing some offense! 🎉
Dallas Buyers Club (2013) in Movies ·
It’s a pretty grounded and slow-moving flick—honestly, it could’ve used just a tiny bit more energy at times.😁
I really dig how they call out that sleazy pharmaceutical lobby, where people are basically just puppets for profit. It’s honestly disgusting how they serve us all this stuff.🙂
Regarding the Oscar, it could definitely pick up some points because the subject matter hits home for Americans. And obviously, Leto is a lock for a statue; he completely transformed into that trans woman, especially with the voice🙏...Matthew was excellent too, though. It’s going to be a brutal fight between him and Leto, but sorry Matthew, I think it's finally Leto's turn to grab the trophy after all these years—he's got the edge in my book.🙂
My rating is an 8/10.🙂

Paul Jones7 said:I mean, why on earth would the French let Sweden slip through by just a single point?

The truth? They aren't even that scary. And honestly, neither are we. If we had to play them right now, the only difference would be that we'd be even more exhausted than they are.

Exactly—it’s just not their style to sink that low...
Handball Euro: USA vs. France 25-27 in Other Sports ·
So, like I said, we’re losing 🙄
Look, first half—the refs totally screwed us. They called an early stoppage on us while letting the Frenchmen slide way too long, and honestly? It just killed our momentum. We actually earned the lead, but then we spiraled into this endless tunnel of self-doubt... we basically beat ourselves at this point.
And they bring in Dance to ref? Please. It’s obvious they don't want those Frenchmen facing anyone but us in the semifinals 🙄
I haven't caught a Dance game yet, but let's be real, it’s always just as frustrating when they're involved
Whatever, the main thing is that if we even make it to the finals against the French, we can't blow it. We usually split these things anyway—win one, lose one 😉
Handball Euro: USA vs. France 25-27 in Other Sports ·
Look, if the Swedes are actually going to pull this off, they might as well win by 3 or more—just to send those Frenchmen packing back home in style. If they’re gonna play, let's see some real dominance, right?

I don't know, I'm honestly kind of nervous here—if I had to place a bet, I’d give the edge to the Frenchmen...
When trailers lie (SPOILER THREAD) in Movies ·
Nicholas Watson said:I'm not sure if anyone else here has brought up American Hustle yet,

honestly, the 😁trailer
and the actual movie are two completely different beasts, so thank god
it was a decent enough 🙏trailer
, but the film itself? Absolute masterpiece.

For me, it’s actually the exact opposite.😬
When trailers lie (SPOILER THREAD) in Movies ·
The latest example has to be American Hustle: I mean, the trailer was practically promising me this killer comedy backed by a killer 70s soundtrack (think Zeppelin 😍) but in the end? I get absolutely nothing of what was promised 🙂
Leonardo DiCaprio in Aviator in Movies ·
Dennis Davis5 said:Watched it today. Nothing special, honestly a bit of a snooze fest. If it wasn't for DiCaprio, I probably wouldn't have even finished it. There’s no humor, not enough women in the cast, and they didn't really show how those planes were actually built. Still, I'll give it a 6/10.

Look, not every single movie needs to be some big romance about relationships, right? Though, even as a woman, I gotta say that scene between Howard and Hepburn should've been a little more explicit.
Anyway, it’s easily one of my favorite roles for Leo—he basically carries the entire movie on his back—and then Cate walks away with the Oscar. 🙄
Bad actors (A-list or close to it) in Movies ·
goldendrifter19 said:It’s honestly tough to gauge how versatile an actor actually is—most of them are just stuck in these predictable archetypes. There's this massive industry machine working behind the scenes to craft a specific image, and every new script just reinforces it. When you hear there's a new Jason Statham or Jennifer Aniston flick coming out, you pretty much know what you're getting. Some people are decent at their jobs, others aren't... and rarely does anyone break out of that mold to prove they can handle different genres. That doesn't mean they're bad, just that they aren't exceptional. Hollywood loves to "reward" those types occasionally with a prestige role that sweeps the awards, and suddenly everyone is acting shocked at how brilliant the performance was. Before things like playing by the rules or Monster, Reese Witherspoon and Charlize Theron were basically just seen as blondes making movies for easy audiences. I am genuinely curious to see what Nymphomaniac will do for Shia LaBeouf.

A lot of people here have brought up comedy and actors like Sandler and Carey. Those guys—in my opinion—have some solid dramas in their filmography, but their comedies are a crime. I suppose it's because that style of humor just isn't for me; what Hollywood calls "funny" usually feels forced, unwatchable, and vulgar—mostly just bad...

Personally, I'm just not a fan of Keira Knightley. I've sat through several of her films and the impression is always the same—you're watching Keira Knightley the actress, rather than the actual character. It's nothing personal, she seems perfectly reasonable in interviews and all that, but what she does simply isn't acting. It's always that same frozen expression, a handful of repetitive facial movements to convey basic emotions, and that dry crying... It might have passed for her summer blockbusters like Pirate from the Caribbean, but I don't get why she's been pushed as a "serious" actress for years now, even landing an Oscar nomination... She's a bit better than most, I guess, but still... far from great.

Spot on observation. Seriously, she’s had that same, kind of boring stare for years now.🙄

Paul Anderson7 said:Let's stay focused here. That woman is never going to be recognized as an actress. We're talking about the A-list elite.

Roger Martin3 said:As Paul Anderson7 suggests—and I find myself inclined to agree—we are dealing with actors who are vastly overrated, wildly overpriced, and occasionally, quite frankly, undeserving of an Oscar. I have no idea who this "Hiltonica" person is supposed to be, but I can assure you, she is certainly not an actress.

I feel compelled to touch upon Gwyneth Paltrow—honestly, I just can't wrap my head around it. It will never, ever make sense to me why she was awarded an Oscar for *Shakespeare in Love*. In my estimation, she had one truly standout performance in *Sliding Doors*, and that’s really where it ends. She strikes me as a fairly mediocre actress, all things considered.

Richard Wilson4 said:Look, she was never top-tier, let alone elite. Honestly, even Jessica Alba was mostly just a cover girl for those men's magazines—nothing more, nothing less.

Alright, fine, I totally misread the prompt. My bad. 😁
So, the Black Raspberry Criterion and those trash "actors" are out of the running. 😉
