Back in 2010, the Sweden Democrats were sitting at just 5% support.

But hey, get this—support for immigrants is still over 70%!
Is it possible we're looking at some serious media manipulation here? I mean, I stumbled upon another source that was pretty skeptical about the whole thing... 🤷

Sophia Rodriguez12 said:I can share my experience. I was on Qlaire, and at first, it actually helped with my migraines—they cleared up after three months. But then, heart palpitations started. They kept getting more intense until, about a year and a half in, they became so bad I had to stop taking them entirely. Once I quit, those migraines came roaring back. Also, they never really regulated my cycle properly; I dealt with constant spotting for the whole eighteen months, though I'm not sure if it was getting better or worse over time.

I honestly don't know if I've caused permanent damage to my heart. It’s possible it was just a coincidence, and nobody can say for certain, but I have my doubts since things improved once I stopped the Qlaire. My vision isn't blacking out anymore, but the arrhythmia is still very much there, and I need more testing. My cardiologist thinks it could definitely be linked to the birth control. Of course, it's easy to be smart about it after the fact.

I originally started taking them to fix my spotting issues, but they didn't help with that at all. On the plus side, they did prevent polyps from forming due to hormonal imbalances, which was a win. However, I also noticed my gums starting to recede, even though I've never had dental issues before. Apparently, that can be tied to birth control pills, I guess, but it was definitely a huge downside for me.

In my opinion, you shouldn't take them unless there's a serious medical necessity, like polyp prevention or something similar. For anything else, just use condoms or track your fertile days. Honestly, it's just not worth the risk!

Can you describe that gum recession a bit more? Like, did your gums start bleeding constantly, or did it feel like you had cracks in them? And does it hurt when you brush?

Jessica Long48 said:Once something has been classified as carcinogenic by the World Health Organization, it is highly unlikely that such a finding will be easily overturned. Unfortunately, all subsequent research from that point until today—conducted by various other organizations—has failed to refute it. You are welcome to verify this yourselves. In fact, an increasing number of studies continue to confirm these findings. To avoid being overly pedantic, the specific data regarding contraceptive pills was once again validated in 2012. (Refer to the second PDF, page 2, under the "estrogen" section for the year). If that qualifies as "recent" enough for the WHO, then it certainly suffices for my purposes.

Refined sugar is harmful. Birth control pills are carcinogenic. This isn't a matter of shifting scientific debate; it is a fact confirmed by the coordinating body of international public health. We aren't talking about some anecdotal "study" sponsored by Big Pharma based on a sample size of 1,000 people.

I also believe everyone understands that they are not exactly healthy options (they have side effects, certainly, but cancer is not quite the same thing as anxiety or a drop in libido) . However, has any woman here, or anywhere else, had a gynecologist tell her that birth control pills are proven carcinogens for humans—not "likely" or "possibly" carcinogenic, but proven to be carcinogenic—and that there is a legitimate risk of developing breast cancer from consuming them?

I am not attempting to impose my own opinion, of course; it is entirely up to each individual to make their own choice. But I have observed that many gynecologists tend to omit critical information like this. How can one properly weigh the scales and reach an informed decision if the weights are only placed on one side?

The objective of my post is not to promote anything, but rather to present data that neither I nor the women in my immediate circle have heard mentioned—let alone emphasized—by any physician, despite its life-altering importance.

Look, plenty of us here take the pill because we have to for medical reasons, not just for contraception purposes.
If I were just looking for birth control, I definitely wouldn't be taking them since there are plenty of other ways to prevent pregnancy.
I'm in a medical situation where I'll need to stay on them until I'm ready to get pregnant. My doctor even thinks I should stay on them through surgery because, according to him, the fallout from stopping would be way worse than just continuing. And frankly, I'm not thrilled about the idea that the only benefit I'm getting is protection against blood clots, just like any other patient.
I'm still stuck weighing the options: do I keep taking them and pray I'm not one of those 7 women out of 10,000 who ends up with a DVT, or do I risk getting those killer cysts and ovarian endometriosis again, which could end up leaving me unable to have kids?

Jesse Evans85 said:I can't give you a definitive answer on that, but have you checked in with your doctor or gynecologist to see what their specific recommendation is?

Nah, I haven't—the doc is on vacation right now, so that’s just how it goes.
I guess things should settle down by early September, though once he's back I'll definitely ask him. I honestly just wanted to see if anyone else out there was dealing with something similar.
Plus, I'm low-key terrified that my period won't even come back properly. Right now, towards the end of this pack, my ovaries are already starting to ache—so imagine how much worse it's going to feel without 👎

How much earlier should I have actually stopped taking these pills before heading in for knee surgery? Would it be enough to just wrap things up at the start of the month—since I figured out that’s when I’d finish my current blister pack—given that the surgery isn't until the end of the month?
I'm honestly spiraling about DVT because I've always been prone to varicose veins, plus I bruise way too easily (like, if I scratch myself even a little bit too hard... you know how it is)
Otherwise, my platelet counts and prothrombin time have always been perfectly normal

Look, you might be dealing with insulin resistance or just high insulin levels

Seriously though—you need to go see an endocrinologist and get some real, deep-dive testing done
Almost every single year they drag in someone actually worth listening to, so I can't complain about the lineup

The location could be a bit better—I mean, Central Park feels pretty isolated when you look at how tough it is to get to via public transit—but hey, you make it work if you have to

The real headache is the timing. They always schedule it right during peak concert season, and every time I've shown up, I feel like I'm missing out on something else. And honestly? College kids are basically the lifeblood of this whole thing

Qatar is basically just a manufactured squad, and honestly? They don't have any staying power—it’s a flash in the pan. I’m betting once the Olympics wrap up, everyone will just forget they ever existed. And let’s be real, I seriously doubt this does anything to boost handball's popularity over in Asia. It’s just not their thing—they're much more into individual sports, you know? I mean, sure, volleyball is an exception, but 😳

Qatar's gonna walk right over them tomorrow—it’s basically a gift from the Frenchies at this point ☕

Honestly, it’s just pathetic how they even let these manufactured, artificial squads exist in the first place 🙄

Of course Goluža gets the blame when his "expert" coaching advice is basically just, "Hey guys, try grabbing the ball and putting it in the net"🤣 😵

Honestly, I’m just totally over this tournament at this point: we’re out, the Danes are out, and frankly, there isn't anyone left worth rooting for 🙄

The only matchup that even matters is against the Frenchman—though, let's be real, it's pretty obvious they're just handing him the championship ☕

Denmark vs. Spain—now this is a matchup 🙏 🙏 🙏

Honestly, I feel for the Danes. If they end up in our bracket, we’re absolutely toast because they’d just tear us apart effortlessly 🙄
So, what’s the deal with 4:30 PM?
Man, I’m missing the whole thing—total bummer. 😢 😢

I’m just praying we run into Poland 22:24 so I can actually sit back and enjoy the semifinals in peace.
Why isn't this on at 7? There's no way in hell I'm staying up just to catch the second half. 😢 😢

Mark Howard7 said:Iceland is a total disaster—honestly, it’s no shocker they got knocked out by Canada in the qualifiers. And now? In this new qualifying cycle for the Euros, they just went and lost to the Mexicans.

Look, even if their play is absolute garbage, they do have a world-class keeper, I'll give them that. 😁

We’re incredibly lucky we don't have to deal with the Dance because everything seems to go their way. 🙏

Bradley Wood43 said:Look, we’re talking about two perfectly normal things here. At least, we used to talk 😁 about them: having a drink every now and then and finding a partner. Honestly, for those people who find both of those things so appalling, they really ought to 🙂 take a moment to ask themselves what's actually wrong with them... 🤷

Okay, fine, sure, having a moderate drink is totally normal, but I'm not talking about blacking out or getting trashed—that's not the point. We're talking about why young people feel this massive pressure to cave in the first place. Nobody even said alcohol is inherently evil! I don't know, maybe I didn't phrase that quite right 🤷

How do you even go about chasing clout and manufacturing value you clearly don't actually have, just so you can feed into some specific group identity?

Let’s be real here—hardly anyone actually *loves* being hammered, right? But people drink because they want to escape. They want to slip into this secondary persona—some version of themselves that feels "allowed" to do all the stuff they’d never dare attempt while being their actual selves. It’s the exact same deal with drugs. For those few hours, you get to pretend to be someone else, and suddenly, that nagging feeling that you don't belong... it just disappears.
Has anyone else here dealt with this mess:
Okay, so I’ve gone through three packs of Bela, right? The first pack was totally fine—had that usual bleeding during the break, which is standard. But then the second and third packs were just... off. I started getting these weird brownish breakthrough bleeds during the second phase of my cycle. To be super specific—because details matter, obviously—around day 10 I’d get this dark discharge, then by days 16 and 17 it would get even darker, and by days 19 or 20, it looked exactly like the heavy stuff I usually see right before my period starts.
Then comes day 21, when I finally stop taking the pills, and everything just kind of tapers off. I don't even get a full flow for the next few days. Honestly, I think I just set a record because I haven't seen anything since Sunday when my break started, and it's already Wednesday! Though, if you ask me, I’m starting to feel those cramps like my period is actually about to hit.
Now I’m sitting here wondering if I should just go back to Dr. Miller or whatever. I’m heading to the coast at the end of the month and the last thing I want is for him to switch my prescription again, forcing me to deal with this constant, month-long bleeding nightmare.🙄
And another thing—I have no idea why my doctor kept insisting that Diane is the only prescription option out there when brands like Longest or Lynidette clearly exist. I swear, I had this gut feeling he was basically a walking advertisement for Bela. He pushed it on me as a substitute for Diane after I refused to take the latter, but it's painfully obvious that Bela is way too weak for what I need.🤷

Yeah, I was getting the exact same thing just a minute ago—I swear I hit refresh about 10,000 times and still nothing. Honestly, sometimes these things just stay down for a few hours and you have to walk away. 🙂
