So I see the Arctic Monkeys are hitting the road this year... but man, the tickets are looking way pricier than last time. Honestly, at these rates, they better have some massive surprises up their sleeves to make it worth it. 😁
Look, Bronca’s run has been an absolute blast, seriously—but how much longer can we keep this momentum going? I mean, really? I’m sitting here dreaming about next year... wouldn't it be something if we made it all the way to the finals for a massive showdown against Denmark? And better yet? Imagine us actually taking them down right on their home turf!
Seriously, this Spearman guy acts like he’s terrified of actually scoring—I mean, sure, he takes the shots, but somehow they always seem to find the keeper instead of the net 🤣

wiredwolf442, I’m standing right there with you... honestly, you’re one of the few people here who actually approached this series with an objective lens. It’s obvious you aren’t just some Hurem fanboy—just like me—but you stayed realistic about the rest of the cast. Usually, if someone says they don't like Hurem, people just assume they’re going to blindly side with Abraham in everything, but you didn't fall for that.
I feel like certain people have completely trashed this thread, which used to be a place I actually looked forward to visiting. Now? Not a single episode goes by without everyone worshiping Hurem, even when she does something totally uncalled for. Meanwhile, they won't stop dragging Abraham and Mahidevran through the mud, even when they haven't done a thing wrong. And those nicknames—especially the ones aimed at Abraham—are just straight-up low.
As for the trolling, if you ask me, the biggest trolls are the ones who cheer for every single move Hurem makes. At this point, I don't think it's even about liking a specific character anymore; it feels like a deliberate provocation just to stir the pot and rack up warnings and bans... Look, we’re all human, and sure, sometimes we say things we shouldn't when we're worked up, but some people actively push for that kind of chaos. That’s exactly why the first thread had to be shut down during the holiday break.
And regarding the off-topic stuff and the spamming—it seems like the reaction is most intense on the Suleiman thread. Every time I open the Force thread, I often find several pages dedicated entirely to Cans or Mehmet, even though they have their own dedicated threads! But the second anyone brings up a bit of historical context on the Suleiman thread, they immediately get slapped with an off-topic warning.

I’d love to hear from @bhea too, since she was the one who gave me a strike just because I asked on the Force thread why someone had pulled the episodes from that streaming site and where else I could watch the show online—especially since a few other people were commenting on it there... Truth be told, it wasn't like I got a massive amount of penalty points for it, but I still want to know: why was my question treated like off-topic spam?
World Handball Championship: USA vs. Spain 27-25 in Other Sports ·
Smart Spaniards: they rigged it so they’d lose by just a hair—nothing too obvious, you know?—so nobody could point fingers and say they threw the game on purpose. But here we go again, with us just blindly attacking the Frenchmen and Dance 🙄
If they actually want to act smart for once, they'll just hand the win over to the Spaniards ☕

The second one isn't half bad, I guess—but honestly? It’s just a shadow of the first one. That original film had me absolutely glued to the screen for those full 96 minutes... I can't stop thinking about a third part, though I'm terrified they'll just completely butcher it even worse than they did the sequel.

There are plenty of killer movies out there, but one that really grabbed me by the throat was The Show Must Go On. Honestly, it’s kind of mind-blowing that we can even produce something like that... and man, it left me feeling pretty shaken up
Brittle, peeling nails: any tips? in Health ·
My nails are an absolute disaster: they’re constantly peeling and splitting right down the middle... I honestly have no clue why this keeps happening or what the deal is... I’m taking multivitamins, Vitamin C, and I’ve been using all those nail hardeners, but absolutely nothing is working 😢
Henry Adams3 said:Well, now, it’s already out there. Similar. Whatever, I don't even know if this thread is actually going to take off or just die in the gutter—who knows, right?

I don't know if I'm reading this right, but am I actually understanding this correctly—are these covers being done by total amateurs? Like, just some random crew who downloads a track and tosses it onto Jubito or some random indie channel? Because if that’s really what we're looking at here, then honestly, the biggest legend among them is definitely my favorite. Igor Presnyakov. 🙏

Look, there's a reason why that kid Sungha Jung is absolutely blowing up on YouTube. Seriously—he's huge, and honestly? There’s a damn good reason for it. ☕

Man, did this guy seriously just nail that John Frusciante acoustic cover? It’s actually insane. 😁

Patrick Martin said:Picture this: somewhere tucked away in some tiny, hidden little alleyway right in the heart of downtown—a pedestrian zone, you know? The entrance would have these gorgeous, rustic wooden doors, maybe set up a couple of steps up from the street. The layout is pretty tight, more of a long, narrow vibe—maybe something like 20 by 12 feet. You walk through those central doors and you’re looking straight at the bar on the opposite end.
Along the longer walls, people would just lean up against the counter, maybe a few bar stools if I felt like it. I want that real bartender-and-regular hangout energy. And obviously, I’d be behind the stick spinning tunes while the walls are decked out with posters of old-school rock legends and icons. Maybe throw a couple of guitars hanging up there too.
We're talking high-end spirits but kept at prices that won't break the bank, and the coffee? It’s gotta be incredible—real, heavy-duty, soul-warming coffee. 🙂
Naturally, there'd be a narrow hallway next to the bar leading to the restroom, a storage area, and a tiny little lightwell in the back. 😍
Everything would be strictly rustic country style.
And damn, it would be soundproofed to hell.

Basically, the playlist would be hitting stuff like this:

1
2
3
4
5
6
7
8
19
110

and so on, and so forth... 😬 (just imagine me torturing you with this music) 🙂

Oh, and the place would be called Drake.

Yeah, now we're talking. 😍

Or even just looking at the vibe: it could look like the Hard Rock Cafe in Barcelona... honestly, maybe one of the most over-the-top spaces I've ever set eyes on... they definitely went overboard with the decor, but what can I say? I’m a sucker for a killer atmosphere no matter where I turn 😁

So, here’s my vision for the perfect club:

1. Location—somewhere right in the heart of downtown or maybe one of those newer parts of Washington, D.C.—actually, closer to my place in 😁 would be even better, but honestly, being near Union Station is fine too, as long as I can actually catch my buses on time, you know? 😁

2. Hours... hmm... maybe something like 9 AM to 3 AM? Or just staying open later depending on the vibe. I feel like that’s pretty much the sweet spot.

3. Atmosphere: I’m talking a bigger space, nicely decorated—I’m a sucker for a retro look. Picture this: walls painted in super vibrant colors, with chairs and bars in a total pop or op-art style (you know, those funky geometric shapes from the 60s). Maybe some pop-art pieces by Andy Warhol on the walls, or even a few by Picasso or Dahlia 🙂... or, if you want to go the opposite route, a monochromatic vibe with black and gray walls covered in op-art prints or wallpaper, still with that geometric furniture, but all in black and white. Man, I really have a thing for interior geometry, don't I? 😁
Smoking should definitely be allowed, provided they have killer ventilation 😁... and oh, having a solid fast-food joint right across the street would be a lifesaver when hunger hits.

4. Music—let's make it themed! A little 80s, some 70s, some 60s, an indie day, a synth-pop day... it’d be best to spread all that out over the weekend since I barely have time to get out during the week anyway. On weekdays, just play some mellow rock or ambient stuff—perfect for grabbing a coffee after a brutal day at work.

5. Prices need to be reasonable, and they gotta have a massive selection. 😳 Like, $5 for a beer, $5 for a bamboo drink, $6 for a rum and coke, $5 for a jack and coke, and maybe toss in a cocktail or two from $6.75 at most... the main thing is they need to have plenty of booze. And yeah, I’d love it if they let you smoke hookah, and where you can put whatever you want in it (including weed 😁).

The Good Shepherd, A Mighty Heart, Beowulf, Changeling, Wanted and Salt, The Tourist

Look, kid, you aren't even close to being on dragon level 🤣 you probably skip everything by that hack too, including Panic in Needle Park 😂

Insanity.😁

Honestly, Wanted and Salt are just plain stupid movies. Seriously, how can anyone sit through them? It's all mindless action without any actual substance—just pure, unadulterated nonsense.🙄

Honestly, when it comes to Angie, all they ever want to talk about is Alexander the Great or The Bone Collector—and let’s be real, I only care about The Bone Collector because of Denzel Washington, not her! 😁)

Movies like Transformers, X-Men, and that whole genre... honestly, they make absolutely zero sense to me.
Then you’ve got James Bond—though I think I only actually sat through the first one—and the rest of the series is just more of the same. It’s all just cookie-cutter stuff, right? Nothing intriguing about it at all.
And don't even get me started on those high-octane action flicks that are supposed to get your adrenaline pumping. They don't work on me, and there's zero substance to pull anything meaningful from them.
Sci-fi is pretty much the same story... the only thing worth watching is The X-Files and maybe a couple of others, but I steer clear of Star Wars and Star Trek like the plague.
Then there are those mindless comedies popping up everywhere these days—well, except for The Hangover and Borat, which were actually legendary😁—and those teen movies, which are usually just way too hyperactive for my taste.

How does it stack up against the one I actually enjoy?
Is it even worth my time to watch?
swiftdrifter4 said:That’s exactly where I run into the biggest wall—I just can't stand listening to metal or hard rock at a low volume. It just doesn't hit the same, you know? It loses all that grit and power. But then, if I crank the volume up to actually enjoy it, my mom comes flying into the room immediately, begging me to turn it down. It’s like I can't win!🙂

And honestly, I’m right there with you—you hit the nail on the head. Listening to music through headphones just isn't the same thing as the real deal. Don't get me wrong, I totally get why people love them—you can hear every little detail, every tiny nuance, and yeah, the clarity is usually way better—but it’s still not quite "it," you know? It’s like looking at a high-def photo of a sunset versus actually standing there feeling the heat on your face. One is clear, sure, but the other is an experience. There's a certain soul missing when you're just plugging into something. 😁
William Kern24 said:Look, my buddies in the music scene—real pros—told me they didn't even have hearing issues at first. Not until suddenly—and I mean *suddenly*—the ringing just started and wouldn't quit. Usually happens right after a gig or cranking the volume up too high through some headphones or a monitor. It’s a total nightmare, honestly (chronic tinnitus). Especially when you finally hit the sack, expecting peace, quiet, and actual sleep, but instead you get this constant "shhhhhhhhhhh" or "piiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii" or "khhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" drilling into your brain. It’s no joke. Seriously.

I feel like everyone has dealt with that ringing in their ears at least once... it could be anything from poor circulation, doesn't necessarily mean you've actually damaged your hearing.
William Kern24 said:Tinnitus—that ringing or buzzing in your head—is basically just your brain perceiving sound when there isn't actually any external noise present. It’s like an auditory phantom. Most people describe it as a hum, a buzz, a ring, or even a clicking sensation. It can be constant, hit you once in a while, pulse along with your heartbeat, or range from high-pitched squeals to low rumbles.

Usually, tinnitus is triggered by hearing damage—specifically, when those tiny hair cells in your inner ear or the auditory nerve itself get messed up. A few things can cause this: loud noises (either blasting music for hours or one massive, sudden blast), certain ototoxic medications, poor blood flow to the inner ear, sudden pressure changes (like barotrauma), an acoustic neuroma, or just standard age-related hearing loss. When those hair cells are damaged, they send weird electrical signals through the nerve to your brain, and your brain essentially tries to make sense of the glitch by interpreting it as "noise."

Look, you can listen to music on your headphones, but don't go cranking it up to max volume for hours on end. Your ears need a break! Honestly, keeping it at about 1/4 volume (whatever your settings are on Spotify or whatever device you use) is plenty. And if you're out in public where there's already background noise—traffic, crowds, construction, etc.—don't overdo it with the earbuds either, because your ears are already working overtime just dealing with the environment.

As for me, I’ve got this nonstop clicking in my ears and, honestly, I’ve just gotten used to it by now... it doesn't always have to come from loud music, either. There are other factors involved: for instance, I dealt with constant ear infections back when I was a kid—it felt like every month or two. During those bouts, fluid would build up in my inner ear, and it gets all swollen up, especially if there's even a slight change in pressure (even just climbing a flight of stairs or going up a hundred feet makes it swell!). Don't even get me started on flying in an airplane; I’m practically deaf for the rest of the day after a flight. My issue with regulating ear pressure is a huge reason why I get that clicking sensation... plus, during my last bad infection, my eardrum actually ruptured, and ever since then, it's stayed somewhat retracted. I went for a hearing test and my hearing is fine, but loud environments—especially clubs—still really bother me and can be super irritating.

I mostly use headphones too, but I never crank them above 50% volume unless I’m on a bus, and even then, it’s only for a little bit. Anything over 50% is just way too loud for me; if I'm being honest, my sweet spot is probably around 30% volume.
*tracks, this song just doesn't sound 😁
