Handball EP - Norway 2008 in Other Sports ·
Scott Collins30 said:Look at the post above—with today's win, the Swedes are basically cruising toward a ticket to Beijing, while the Norwegians got stuck in a group where even divine intervention wouldn't help them grab one of those top two spots.

...it won't be a walk in the park for the Swedes either, but they've definitely got it easier than the Norwegians, so their win over Norway in this tournament actually matters...plus, Iceland and the Poles are decent sides, and the games are being played in Poland...I don't think Argentina stands much of a chance, but hey, you never know...

Feel free to drop some song titles or whatever if you want.

...honestly, most people in the States are just blasting country music these days... I can't really give you specific tracks because I don't listen to it...

...it honestly blows my mind how some people here can find a reason to start a fight even when things are going this well🙂...but hey, if you can't laugh at the absurdity, what's the point?

...huge props to our guys, though. They absolutely crushed it in this basketball game...fingers crossed for them tomorrow in the finals...

...🙂...look, I didn't put any money down, which means I'm calling a draw...🙂...

...but seriously though, I haven't been watching the French lately, but if they're playing the same way they did when they faced us last time, we're pretty much cooked. Regardless, making it into the Final Four is still a win in my book...

Joshua Diaz10 said:If Palestinians truly aspire to establish a sovereign state, their leadership must prioritize the consistent containment of extremists within their own ranks. As it stands, whether intentional or not, they leave one with the impression that they lack the basic capacity for self-governance.

In my initial post, I neglected to mention that there is also someone malicious out there waiting to ignite the powder keg.

...yeah, true enough...

...since the very beginning of this whole mess, there’s been fighting over territory...that’s really the core of it...people keep trying to draw parallels to what happened back home, but the reality is different...Arabs have been pushed out of tons of areas...they're squeezed into the Gaza Strip and the West Bank, kind of like if Americans were suddenly forced into a tiny corner of the suburbs around Washington, D.C....or maybe stuck near San Francisco...

...the only way out is for both sides to figure out how to live side-by-side in equality, otherwise we're never going to see an end to this tragedy...

And yet, the narrative is always that the Arabs are the victims. 🤣

It’s like they say: whatever the religion, the logic follows the same twisted path. 😍

...and then there's your brand of "logic"🙂—just a total slap in the face to common sense. There are about 20 million Jews in the world, sure, and there are more Arabs, but there were hardly any Jews in the territory we're talking about before WWII...

...and honestly, you're just drifting wildly away from the point, which is the fact that people were kicked out of their homes... the more this documented fact gets ignored, the more often we need to hammer it home...

Arabs didn't even move into that region until the late 7th century, and the whole idea of a "Palestinian nationality" didn't even exist until 1968.

If you look at how things functioned during the Ottoman Empire, you won't find any mention of "Palestinians"—just Arabs... plus, Arafat himself was actually Egyptian.🙄

...who was even talking about Arabs?...read the text, but maybe try actually understanding it this time...
...was there anyone called a "Palestinian," or were they just not there before the massive Jewish migration?...

...the narrative being pushed by these two guys and any other Zionist-leaning thinkers who happen to drift by is completely baseless... they just ignore the undeniable facts and go out of their way to belittle anyone holding an opinion contrary to Zionism. It’s pure trash, and every Jewish person who has ever spoken out against Zionism gets totally sidelined and discredited—including that guy Goldman mentioned earlier...

...Zionism isn't some legitimate struggle for statehood, despite how some people try to "explain" it; based on all historical evidence and actual actions, it's much closer to a Nazi movement...

...Palestine or Philistia is a land that has existed for a massive amount of time, and the UN tried to carve out two states on Palestinian territory (one Arab, one Jewish)... and here's another thing... denying that the name Palestine even exists is just a stupid way to ignore or pretend you don't know history. It's been mentioned since ancient times; Herodotus was calling it a "Syrian district" back in the 5th century BCE, which is likely where the name Palestine comes from...

...it also needs to be said that the Canaanites were living in that area long before Jews first arrived, and modern genetics directly links Palestinians to those Canaanites... that’s just another fact, and it completely shuts down that Talmudic claim that this is a Jewish land (the "promised" one)... it was only called that because when they first showed up, they lived there for a little while until they were kicked out by the indigenous population. Since then, they've been serving everyone from Pharaohs to others, developing this idea of being a "chosen people" (can you believe that postulation existed even back then?) all the way through to Mosaic leadership and those servants trekking back to that promised land where they only lived peacefully for a few years thanks to the hospitality of the locals who eventually drove them out...

...just a few quick points for those who clearly have zero clue about history but still defend the Jewish right to this land based on some holy Talmud...

...anyone who actually bothers to dive a little deeper into this topic will see that what Zionist propaganda writes is something entirely different from the truth...

...Europe really screwed itself over by allowing this apartheid entity to be created... which is why they're so obsessed with trying to "solve" this mess now...

...the future of this state as an aggressively Zionist apartheid entity isn't looking bright... maybe things will change if basic human rights are extended to everyone instead of just being reserved for Jews...

Paul Wells17 said:Israel is still supplying 70% of the electricity to Gaza.

Nobody is actually dying there; Hamas shut down the power plant themselves just to play the victim and milk some sympathy from the world like the "brave fighters" they claim to be.

Seriously—why are we even feeding them? These are the same "people" handing out candy on the street right after suicide bombers blow up kids outside a nightclub.

At the end of the day, they cry about having nothing to eat while hoarding enough explosives and fuel to keep raining rockets down on Israel.

Let their Muslim brothers feed them. Their border with Egypt is wide open anyway, so let them deal with it...🙂

Oh, I forgot—Egyptians love "Palestinians" so much they’ve been handing out citizenship to any Egyptian who marries a Palestinian. 😍

Civilization... what a joke.😉

Listen—Israel shouldn't have to provide food, electricity, and fuel to Palestinians... 🙂

Meanwhile, Arab sheiks are sitting on golden toilets, blaming the "infidel" West for all the poverty. 😍

Kudos to Barak and Olmert—they're finally taking actual steps to fight against this thousand-year Muslim genocide against Jews.

Who even are you people? Honestly, you're not needed. vi Look, we don't need to be out here feeding anyone. Just give them back their occupied land, restore those river flows to how they actually belong, tear down that apartheid state Zionism is pushing, and fix a whole lot of other bullshit along the way. pure evil What? I don't know what you're trying to get at here, but if you're looking for a reaction, you're gonna have to try a lot harder than that. Just a single word doesn't really give me much to work with, does it? If you've got something actual to say, just spit it out. I'm sitting here waiting for a real point instead of whatever this is. They actually pulled it off... though they didn't even go that far. I can't even begin to process this. It’s just... nothing. There's absolutely nothing here to work with. Give me something real to sink my teeth into, because right now, I'm just staring at a blank screen wondering why I even bother. Look, you don't even have to bother... just go pick up some scraps from the occupied territory and call it a day.

It’s pretty damn obvious that a lot of Zionists are struggling with... This one. Look, having a syndrome or whatever isn't some kind of free pass to make everyone else miserable.

hollowpanther5 said:That’s the point, though. Not everyone supported Hamas; they didn't win with 100% of the vote. And what about those who didn't even show up to vote?

And I wasn't aware that those were the only countries in existence.😕

No, the children are dying because of rockets fired from Israeli helicopters, which were purchased in America.

1) Babies and women don't fire Katyushas.
2)Even within Hamas, not everyone is a terrorist firing at Israel; in 99% of cases, it's just a few isolated factions made up of idiots.
3)One rocket a week doesn't compare to the 100 rockets the Israelis fire into Gaza.

I agree that this needs to stop, but not through the methods Israel is using.

I honestly can't believe what you're saying. Are you suggesting it's justifiable to kill 100 civilians just because a couple of idiots are determined to carry out a jihad?
You can't hold a six-month-old baby responsible for the actions of a few fanatics. 🙂

...how can I not...it's just typical Zionist logic, acting like they're somehow above any kind of terrorism...it’s honestly sickening how much they get away with, mostly because the EU and the USA give them a free pass thanks to all that propaganda built up since WWII...just a reminder, back in WWII, about 6 million Poles died, along with about a million people from the old America territories, plus millions upon millions of others, yet nobody is out here collecting a trophy for those victims the way Jews do today...

...we really need to put a stop to this Zionist behavior because everyone needs to understand that committing crimes against a people doesn't give that nation a blank check to commit future atrocities...which is exactly what they've been doing for over 50 years in Palestine...
Israel launches 4000 km range missile in World ·
...so they just cut the power to the Gaza Strip...people are dying in hospitals because there's zero electricity...why does this Zionist policy systematically tear these places apart? (it’s honestly pretty likely because if they actually went quiet, the parallels to Nazi Germany's policies and actions would be way too obvious to ignore)...
dustyscout53 said:I've been wondering—who actually holds journalists accountable? Is there even a real way to check them?

Right now, it feels like any reporter can just launch an attack on whoever they want, regardless of whether they’re actually telling the truth or not.

Honestly, criticizing the media feels like an attack on democracy sometimes—probably because we're still stuck in old ways of thinking. Journalists have basically become untouchable, almost like the Church used to be.

Like, a columnist for the Los Angeles Times can claim that America doesn't need a Secretary of Commerce who grew up in some tiny rural town, but you'll rarely see anyone call out a columnist for, say, barely scraping through middle school with failing grades.

We get to swap out politicians every four years through voting, sure, but journalists? They only get replaced if their boss decides to let them go—and those decisions are usually based on much shadier motives.

Is there any kind of actual safeguard to protect us from bad journalism?

...the audience controls the journalists...and they do it way harder than voters control politicians...
...you've got it wrong regarding necessity number two...
...we don't need a Secretary of Commerce from the "cornfields," just like we wouldn't need a Secretary of Agriculture from the Republican Party when the Federalist Party is in the coalition...
...the corrective mechanism is audience criticism...even this critique of yours...but you can't, and shouldn't, demand journalists be fired just because some guy on a forum decides he doesn't like one or two comments they made...
Andrew Sanchez3 said:I was poking around some census data for major US cities recently, and it’s striking how few places with over half a million people actually have a white population hovering around 20%...

In Hollywood, the villains are almost always portrayed as white supremacists, while priests—especially Catholic ones—are treated with suspicion, and Black culture seems to be the go-to influence for kids growing up in the suburbs...

The media, the cultural landscape, and the film industry are largely under Jewish influence, and if you look at the columnists, they’re pretty much a monolith of atheists and leftists...

We all know about the 6 million Jews killed in the Holocaust, which is a tragedy, but I find myself wondering why we don't see an endless stream of Oscars for films about the 7 million Ukrainians lost in 1932, or the 1.5 million Armenians in 1917...

The real headache seems to be the Democratic Socialists who opened the floodgates for migration to Europe back in the 70s, and now the Democrats, led by figures like Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, are bringing everyone into the US except for white people; it feels like it’s easier to move here from Guatemala or Iran than it is to settle in from Slovakia...

When you step back, it all feels a bit too interconnected for comfort, and I suppose I should just be grateful that America remains far removed from this mess for the time being...

...as for the film industry...you just say "Hollywood"...and we all know exactly who pulls the strings there...
...people (mostly) just swallow whatever history they're fed...and let's face it, it's easiest to serve it up through the TV nowadays (who even reads books anymore? who cares when you've got Opra and Mexican soap operas?) ...it actually reminds me of a Marilyn Manson lyric... "god is the TV"...

...regarding immigration and displacement...don't we all claim to enjoy the same human rights, or is that just window dressing for our fragile consciences?...

...the US encourages white immigration...I know this firsthand because their percentage is shrinking (which is another shameful fact about the US today)...you can't allow segregation based on race, creed, or age...no matter how much it hurts the capitalist machine...

...and the biggest issue facing Europe and the developed world is that money is treated as the ultimate value while everything else is secondary...no matter how much they preach "humanism"...it's all about the cash...capitalism...which devours everything in its path for the sake of profit...that's the core issue right there...

...at the end of the day, you can't have everyone being a capitalist...who's going to produce things, who's going to do the actual work, whose backs is capitalism going to rest on? For example, folks in Indonesia work for maybe $1 a day to make the Nike sneakers we buy for $100...if you get that, you understand the fundamental flaw of the modern world...90% of people do the work while 10% reap the rewards...that's capitalism, which is just a modern label for a slave society, and it's not looking good...

...that one scene where they're getting shot at from every single direction is particularly "high quality." But nope—you've got one Black guy (probably trained on an African safari), a lady (definitely looks like Clarice from Silence of the Lambs, though the director keeps it hush-hush), and some old man digging through sewers acting like he's some forensic genius. Then you've got that supposedly "benevolent" little teddy bear of a guy from the Middle East. All of them together somehow tanking automatic gunfire, grenades, and flamethrowers while managing to take out a dozen "bad guys"... man, for a split second, I actually thought I was watching Ramb...

...p.s....it's also worth noting how that same "good ol' boy" from Saudi Arabia played his part perfectly in the fight against terrorism...

...that moment where the Black guy yells "you got him, you got him" would have been some top-tier historical irony if it were an American Indian instead of a guy from Saudi Arabia, and the "Wild Wild West" instead of the "Kingdom." Of course, they caught the big white guy... but even like this, the point remains the same...
