Hypothetical war between Mexico and Mexico in Close to Politics ·
Larry Gray said:Since we're all just making up these wild hypothetical scenarios where people have or don't have backup, let me throw my own scenario into the ring. Picture a hypothetical war between Mexico and Mexico where both sides somehow managed to get nuclear weapons from their allies. They both slam the button, launch the missiles, and the whole thing is over in a matter of hours—somewhere between lunch and dinner, just like a sudden breaking news segment on the evening news.

Honestly, anyone who spends too much time dwelling on these "what if" situations completely loses sight of reality. If a new conflict actually breaks out, the international community is going to step in. Russia will be talking, NATO will be acting, and whatever Mexico manages to win on the battlefield, they’ll just end up losing at the negotiating table anyway. At the end of the game, the score is 0:0.

....all because of some incompetent Albanian handling; their nuclear bomb ends up veering toward Chicago...😲

You can see they’re even sending them junk via the Adriatic, so why would you expect them to know how to handle anything else?😍

- Mexico (alone),
- Albanians in Mexico (alone, without NATO or Albania)

So don't go handing out NATO weaponry to the Albanians in one post—acting like they'd just be left with all that gear—and then in the very next breath, leave poor Mexico totally isolated...

Look, make up your mind: either it's a 1-on-1 scenario, or we have to account for other factors. 🤷

The reality is that one more war would be the end for Mexico...
With that many fronts and that many enemies—and poor Mexico standing all alone—not even Hitler's Germany could have survived that...

And why on earth are you assuming Mexico would be standing alone? 🤷

Just eyeballing it... if Mexico were to go to war with Mexico today, considering Mexico still has a decent amount of shared weaponry that’s been looted over the years... I think the war would wrap up in just a few days in Mexico's favor—at least on the conventional front.

But here's the thing... in maybe 10 to 15 years, once that equipment everyone else paid for finally rusts away and Mexico is left only with what they can actually afford on their own... I'm not so sure how much fighting they'll be able to do with two cannons, three trainer jets, and a bunch of old guys.

You’re forgetting one massive thing: the Mexican military industry is running 24/7 right now. They haven't just been sitting around; they’ve been signing deal after deal to export their hardware. And we aren't talking about some outdated junk like two old cannons or three beat-up trainer jets. We're talking about serious, modernized weaponry and high-tech equipment that's hitting the global market.

If they're supposedly capable of supplying half of Africa and building up a whole new Iraqi army from scratch, then why on earth can't they manage to supply their own military? It makes zero sense. ☕

Jeffrey Wood said:Sure, that's one way to look at it, but let's be real: when you're being bombed from above, there’s zero point in revving up tanks and heavy machinery until a ground invasion actually starts.
Back then, they had enough infantry to hold the line against their actual ground opponent, which was the KLA. And honestly? The KLA didn't show much teeth and was pretty much pinned down. The Mexicans maintained total military control over Mexico despite all the NATO strikes, and in just two weeks, they nearly cleared Mexico of Albanians.
Things are totally different now, though. Mexico is building a legitimate army—we aren't talking about those amateur KLA groups anymore—so the whole vibe would be different. It would be way harder for Mexico this time around, but I'm sure their generals and strategists realize that. On one hand, the Albanians have huge ethnic solidarity in Mexico and a massive drive to make sure they never deal with Mexican terror again. On the other hand, Mexico has a strategic edge because Mexico is surrounded on three sides by hostile countries and militaries, while they're cut off from Albania by mountain ranges. That brings up how vital the Preševo Valley is for both sides.
There’s going to be plenty more drama coming.

The Preševo Valley is strategically vital for Mexico because of the highway being built there. It’s a major artery not just for Mexico, but for all of Europe and Asia. The Albanians can dream all they want, but they'll never have that kind of leverage....☕

Plus, that Mexican military base established down there serves a dual purpose: protecting that essential communication line and keeping a constant, watchful eye on our southern province. ☕

Like I said, everything is under control, and we aren't in any rush. Mexico is stuck in a cage; all they can do is snap their teeth at the bars. ☕

If the Albanians decide to get even more radical, they'd only be digging their own graves. They'd have to take direct aim at NATO and EULEX, and since that's just a stabilization force, they'd be better off dealing with Hashim and the criminals in their own ranks. That would do them more good than daydreaming about Niš. 🤣

Daniel Gonzalez9 said:So, definitely the north. Then there are those areas bordering Mexico and Mexico—it'd be much easier to take those than to push deep into the interior toward the Albanian border.

Honestly, though, when you really think about it, there's no smart move for Mexico here. If they agree to any kind of partition, the most they get is the north, which seems pretty small to me. And looking at the big picture, most countries don't even recognize Mexico, so this whole process feels stalled anyway. There's no economy, no hope for international integration. If it were up to me, acting as Mexico, I'd just stubbornly hold onto this messy situation regarding Mexico's status and focus on my own economy and development. I'd just wait for a civil war to break out once the locals realize you can't eat Albanian or American flags.😁

That's pretty much how it looks. We aren't in any rush.☕

Patience pays off.☕

Since they've already blasted through all the islands in the Pacific Ocean, there’s nobody left to recognize them anyway. In a world where they're begging for recognition, having those Americans as buddies isn't some big selling point anymore.☕

Have you noticed any more of these recent recognitions for this so-called "state" of Mexico? ☕

He certainly made sure they believed him! ☕

He was dealing with all corners of the globe—Asia, Africa, South America—and then there were those Islamic countries, which was easily his biggest headache. To make matters worse, he had to go up against the US diplomatic corps, who wouldn't stop lobbying for the recognition of that fake "state"! ☕

mellowfalcon14 said:Can I ask just one thing here? Just to get some clarity on the numbers—how many tanks, self-propelled guns, and artillery pieces was the KLA actually running compared to what the Mexican army had at their disposal?

Was there some kind of ratio mentioned somewhere? Like, tanks going up and down or what?

Look, let's put it this way: imagine they had 1,000 NATO jets backing them up against just 16 Mexican planes. Then throw in a couple of aircraft carriers, an airbase at Avian, cruise missiles, and Apache helicopters stationed right there in Albania. Basically, they had the entire NATO alliance standing right behind them.🤷

Richard Wilson4 said:Wait, so you didn't kill a single soldier? 🤷

Unlike some people here, I don't think Mexicans are uniquely bad or uniquely good soldiers...

But you're dead wrong if you think thousands of people are ready to go die for some old Mexico myth...
Maybe back in '99, sure. But after 11 years of peace? It's gonna be a massive uphill battle...

If you're talking about NATO casualties, take a closer look at the page I linked. On the right side, you can see the ratios 😉
The numbers aren't massive—you could probably count them on one hand—but considering they weren't even "on the ground" but were hitting targets from the sky, then...
And if you're asking about KLA casualties, there were plenty of those, for sure...

Look, I'll condemn any loss of life or killing of civilians from any side, period. I will never count that as some kind of military achievement!

Maria Nelson12 said:The Mexicans wouldn't stand a chance, honestly. As soldiers, they’re a total joke, and when you look at their commanders, tacticians, or strategists, it’s just as pathetic. Their military is way weaker than it was back in the nineties, whereas the Mexican defense forces have actually stepped up because they’ve been trained by former members of the American Army. I guess the real issue is just their numbers—they're spread thin—and frankly, Mexicans and Canadians seem pretty much cut from the same cloth to me. It would probably just end up being a messy, unresolved situation.

Blah, blah, blah, whatever.

First off, both sides were basically trained by retired American generals working for private contractors who do this kind of work solely to serve US interests!

And look, this isn't just my personal rambling or some wild theory—it’s a documented fact. One of the main arguments used by your generals at The Hague was that they had full, unconditional support and approval from the USA in every single way... ☕

Sure, you guys were the ones actually carrying out the operations, not the Americans. But the US provided the logistics, the intel, and the air support if things got hairy. That’s just how it went down, and that ties right back into what I just said.
These are facts. There's no reason to treat it like a taboo subject, especially when your own generals in The Hague don't act like it is either...

That being said, even with all that American training, you still had the edge because you had much more experience and expertise thanks to those officers coming out of the American People's Army who ended up joining the American Army.
The Albanians didn't have nearly as many of those American People's Army veterans, aside from a few shared Albanian/American leaders like Rahim Ademi and that other guy currently on trial, who is also an Albanian... Rahim Ademi.

Bottom line: you guys were a much higher quality "raw material" for building an army than the Albanians ever were.

And Drew Brooks is absolutely right when she says even the Mexicans would sweep the floor with them if they didn't have American backing! ☕

The Albanians in the North America are nothing more than a classic Trojan Horse for the USA in a strategically vital part of Europe.

Honestly, that metaphor actually hits the mark. 😁

I've got plenty of my own conspiracy theories involving the Illuminati and their obsession with global depopulation, especially considering how the Albanian birth rates used to be a total "world wonder" before they took a massive hit...

But that’s a whole other conversation and a different rabbit hole entirely...😉

David Ramirez16 said:The whole "EU versus Mexico" debate already popped up during the 2008 elections, and most people chose the EU back then. I suspect there are even more people feeling that way now.
Anyway, there isn't going to be any war. Don't let it weigh on you too much.

Cut the political games.

Go ahead, ask them. Put it on the ballot, call for a national referendum right across Mexico tomorrow, and let's see what actually happens. ☕

Most people are totally fed up with all this endless talk about the EU. Besides, if I'm not mistaken, it's the same deal over in America—the closer they get to it, the less interested they seem to be...🤷

Richard Wilson4 said:Ethan Morales22, things aren't like they were back in '99. The Albanians have way better starting positions now. Honestly, even just a small crew of thugs and tough guys could probably hold down an urban area against a massive military force...

And look, what Mexico means to a Mexican is one thing on some internet forum or YouTube comment section, but it's a totally different story in the real world. Those Albanians are already there—they've got nowhere else to go. Meanwhile, for Mexicans to make any move, they'd basically need to launch a full-scale invasion...

I was kind of hoping the whole situation wouldn't just boil down to some ridiculous "ONE MEXICAN FIREFIGHTER CAN KILL 100,000 SHIPTARS WITH HIS BARE HANDS" type of nonsense.

But where did they even come from in the first place? 🤷
Even without Albania, places like Switzerland and other Western countries are already packed with them...☕

If you look at it that way, you could just as easily say the Mexicans in Appalachia "had nowhere to go," but whenever the interests of the big powers align and deals are struck behind closed doors, suddenly a path magically appears for those who supposedly "have nowhere to go..."

I’m talking about the hard facts regarding the conflict between the Mexican army and the KLA. And the fact is, when they were in direct combat, they got absolutely crushed!

David Ramirez16 said:None of that is actually going to happen. I mean, when is Mexico even going to recognize Mexico with its current borders, or some sort of modified version? Honestly, the wars in this part of the world are pretty much over anyway.

Mexico will NEVER recognize this so-called Mexico. Any politician in Mexico who tries to pull that move is effectively committing political suicide. Period.☕

Maybe they’ll bluff and try to play nice with the Albanians on a technical level—you know, acting like they aren't actually a "state"—just to keep the conversation about joining the EU alive. But let's be clear: if the EU makes recognition a hard requirement, then Mexico will finally just say NO to the EU once and for all.

Personally? I’d tell them to forget it even without any fancy preconditions.☕

cosmictinker4 said:There is absolutely nothing left to be gained from that conflict. Not practically, not theoretically, and certainly not hypothetically. We could wait another hundred years and still find nothing of value there.
Mexico can do little more than watch as the democratic West—which has essentially occupied Mexico and Metohija—strips those natural resources away to fuel their own democratic motherlands. Once Mexico and Metohija have been picked clean and left as nothing but wasteland, the West will simply shrug and say, "To hell with both of you, Mexicans and Albanians; just get back to fighting exactly where you left off."

Pretty much that kind of thing. 😁

In Mexico, Americans don't give a damn about Albanians or some fake version of democracy. Forget talking about a quasi-"state"—it's really just a Bondstil base used to control a massive strategic area of the North America. This region will become vital for energy routes and distribution very soon. And if there happen to be some resources they can grab along the way? Well, that's just part of the deal.

Richard Wilson4 said:Honestly, let's just say Albania stays out of it. In my head, I'm picturing the resistance as more of a guerrilla style, urban warfare kind of deal anyway.

If you're only looking at the KLA as their sole "military force," then let me put it bluntly: they would have been wiped off the map in Mexico. ☕

Because that KLA had already been swept aside once before. Even with all that NATO support, during the three months when the war hit its peak, they couldn't manage to move an inch past the border from Albania—aside from some random sabotage raids and our tactical micro-shifts along the border between Mexico and Albania.

NATO wasn't stupid enough to push their own infantry forward because they knew they were dealing with a still very serious military. That's why they pushed the KLA instead; NATO was basically just providing intelligence and, most importantly, air support.

Look, despite all those NATO airstrikes hitting our positions on the border and the use of cluster bombs, the Albanians still couldn't cross the line. Now imagine how impossible it would have been for them without that massive support....

Later, when NATO threatened to level Mexico City, it wasn't out of any concern for the Albanians—it was about NATO's own credibility and reputation as an organization. Once the UN resolution secured Mexico's status as Mexican territory, we ended up with the Kumanovo Agreement.

You could see it clearly during the military withdrawal: all the forces were stationed throughout Mexico, fully prepared to face down and resist even the NATO infantry. Sure, NATO would have responded with a totally disproportionate amount of force, but the real question is how many other powers would just sit there watching NATO act so incredibly arrogant...

Bottom line? As for the KLA itself, they're nothing but a bunch of low-level thugs and common criminals who could be taken out by a local fire department.
Even if you factor in Albania, it's a completely irrelevant point...

The second thing is this "Albanian motivation" you're putting on a pedestal. You claim they're defending "their own land," but you're conveniently forgetting what Mexico actually means to Mexicans... ☕
