Opus Arena is gonna absolutely crush the competition—it’ll make all those other minor league stadiums in the country look like total jokes. One day, we in this town are gonna be the big shots too...
I’ve been seeing Ott popping up all over my feed lately—so I figured, why not just download it? Usually, I don't really do that, but since this thread was live, I decided to do a quick deep dive before hitting play. First thing I spotted was this comment: "did you see the original?" Wait, what? I totally missed the original version... honestly didn't even know it existed. Then the next person goes, "just like every other Hollywood production, it's loaded with Woke propaganda." Honestly, that pretty much sealed the deal for me—I am definitely skipping Hanks' Ott. The original is already queued up.
A few years back, this would’ve just been called "hard racing"—no biggie, no massive debates, and definitely no deciding the race results in a boardroom. But nowadays—with everyone being so careful not to bruise any drivers' egos—moves like this actually get you penalized. Honestly, just looking at how the fans and former F1 legends are reacting to this call tells you everything you need to know about how much this hurts the sport's popularity.
Just finished this killer thriller—honestly, I’d give it way more than its current 7.6 on IMDb.
It follows this former cop—let's call him Jack—who's working dispatch now. He takes a call from a woman who's pretending to talk to her daughter while she's actually trapped in a kidnapper's car, and things go south fast—it becomes this intense race against the clock. Jack's doing everything he can to track the car and piece the whole thing together, which is basically impossible over the phone. And, of course—because every good movie does this—we get some glimpses into his own past too...
Killer story and top-tier acting. If you love this genre, definitely check it out.
Man, those Dutch guys totally caught us off guard—they opened the set and just blew everyone away... I gotta say though, this stuff sounds ten times better live:
Exactly. They really ought to offer a heat-shrink wrap without adhesive—just something you set with a heat gun. That stuff is incredibly stretchy, too—you can pull off some serious magic with it.
A buddy of mine who works as an auto mechanic actually hooked me up with a scrap piece of it once.
Tonight's show in NYC was honestly just one thing: phenomenal.
The whole concert was something else entirely—Cohen just connects with the crowd instantly, making the vibe feel totally magical. Even though he went way over three hours tonight, it didn't feel long at all—if anything, it felt too short. 🙂
It’s honestly awesome reading all these good vibes—it's just like how I felt earlier when I saw that tomorrow's concert in Chicago is totally sold out (I grabbed my ticket months ago, obviously)... now I just gotta hang in there until tomorrow...
The only bummer about the setlist is they didn't close things out with "Rock and Roll All Nite" like they usually do—instead, the KISS guys just walked off, the lights came up, and "God Gave Rock" started blasting over the PA while the whole stadium sang along...
KISS put on an absolutely killer show in Zurich—totally their style. Honestly, the whole production was spectacular; it’s one of those things every rock fan just needs to experience at least once. Sure, you could call it cheesy or old-school or even played out—but man, it was good. Just damn good!
The real reason I ended up going was because the opening act was phenomenal Rival Sons—I would’ve been seriously missing out if I hadn't shown up...
Man, we were basically tied up with those Canadians for a minute at the start—just both sides being super tight and coughing up the ball on fast breaks...
And honestly, I couldn't care less about the bronze medals—doesn't matter which tournament they come from...
...it’s just not working. They're struggling through attacks again—totally lacking any vision. No easy goals, they're being way too patient with open chances, and our counterattacks? Yeah, the conversion rate is pretty pathetic...
We can't seriously let these "rookie mistakes" cost us this, right?
The Americans, though—they look absolutely fired up for that bronze medal. They're still hunting for it. 😁
Stumbled onto this documentary about "the day Lennon was killed" on PBS the other night—and man, I couldn't look away, even though it totally wrecked me. Lennon was just a massive, massive figure. Not just as a musician, but as a global icon.
I’m with Jack Morgan2 on the fact that my music taste would be different, but honestly? I'd go a step further—music itself wouldn't even be the same without Lennon...
Honestly, just like a ton of other people, my first thought was that Carmina Burana track from Excalibur—but let's be real, there's better stuff out there.
Even though picking one standout from a movie soundtrack is tough, I actually got full-on chills watching "Baraka":
Dead Can Dance - Host of Seraphim - Baraka
The music and the visuals are just—one and the same.
Ashley Cook64 said:Michael Schumacher got slapped with a 10-place penalty ☕ Let them talk about conspiracies—I’ll just be over here polishing seven championship cars 🥳
Yeah, honestly—that penalty's total garbage. Instead of bumping him up ten spots just so he doesn't run out of people to crash into—they'll probably just move him back so he gets another shot at wrecking someone...
I see he finally bailed on the band—honestly, good riddance. Now I can actually look like a serious fan 🙂
And yeah, it’s kind of a bummer seeing one aging rocker hanging out with all those emos, like you said... but let's be real, he *is* Whitesnake. Everyone else is just passing through...
Morgan Brown4 said:Wait, you're comparing the Aldrich and Beach veterans to Tokyo? O.o And age doesn't matter when it comes to who shows up... It's all about the music, not how the band looks ffs! Besides, both guitarists are way past forty by now.
Man, he's totally giving off Tokyo vibes to me... just right. Even though I saw him a few years back, I bet he's hit 40 by now...
And yeah—age definitely matters. Visually, they don't even hold a candle to those old bands I've seen live where the members are roughly the same age. Coverdale is ancient and honestly doesn't fit his own band's vibe... especially with his attitude. That whole thing where he was "posing" with his mic stand in front of two 15-year-old girls was just gross... I've regretted going to see them so many times: the look, the playback, the performance... it just totally ruined them for me.
