Since when did basic common sense become "disruptive"? Oh right, we live in America... 😢

Exactly, it’s mostly just a crowd of people who jump to these grand, sweeping conclusions about how milk and meat are toxic while claiming vegetarianism is some kind of miracle cure, but honestly, they clearly have zero grasp on actual biochemistry or physiology—like, at all. They just skim a headline that sounds catchy and then start tossing around terms they don't even understand correctly...
And you can totally tell from the context what they actually meant, please, give me a break...
If that person had any shred of knowledge regarding enzymes and hormones, they would never—and I mean NEVER—confuse those two things. Seriously, one single semester of biochemistry is enough to make sure you never make that mistake...
The whole lactose intolerance thing???? I’ve watched them over in the States, claiming they have lactose intolerance and then immediately gorging themselves on massive amounts of dairy just because they happen to dislike plain milk.
Again, "consider themselves," which means they're just deciding how they feel about it, and that has absolutely nothing to do with whatever biochemical reality their body might actually be dealing with...

I didn't even get past the third line... maybe I'm just being way too negative or something... 😁

That’s just all that negative energy you're carrying, man. 👎 You're walking in here with this attitude right from the jump, and your whole vibe just isn't on the same wavelength as the person who wrote this thread... Honestly, if you two actually met in person, there’d probably be a massive blowout or some huge fight. You're just putting out bad vibes, dude, and don't even get me started on how you're treating those antibiotics like they're the worst thing humanity ever invented—when half the time they don't even work anyway—and then you're eating meat, which just triggers all that aggression and negativity inside you... it's basic science, really. Just try meditation, grab some soy, go vegan, and you'll finally feel balanced because your internal frequencies will actually be in sync for once... plus, your chakras are a total mess right now. There might still be hope for you, though.
GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER!🙂

My eyes just glaze over the second I see a post longer than ten lines... but based on the bits I did catch, I don't just agree, I totally relate. I'm living proof of what happens when you actually let positive thinking heal you, and honestly, I’d tell everyone to try it.
I really feel like it's the only "real and universal" cure out there—mostly because it works on a global scale, affecting your entire body and everything inside it (not to get too carried away talking about spreading positive energy, which is also part of the healing process, but still...), whereas everything else tends to target one specific issue while potentially causing side effects elsewhere (take antibiotics 🙂, for example).
So yeah, do your breathing exercises, relax, try some visualization... basically, just chill out. 👍

Look, if breathing exercises and relaxation make you feel better, then fine, go for it. Personally, I feel pretty damn good after grabbing three beers with the guys, or hitting up a game, or winning a little something at the casino, or playing a round of basketball or golf... but I’m not turning that into some grand holy mass or a life philosophy. And by the way, this "negative energy" stuff? It doesn't exist, though maybe people should pick up a science textbook once in a while to figure that out. I always tell people who are obsessed with all that alternative stuff they should probably try reading an actual physiology or internal medicine book instead of chasing Eastern philosophy or so-called "alternative science." People love to moan that antibiotics are bad, even though they're the reason we basically wiped out tuberculosis... whatever... just nonsense.

Amy Fox97 said:The single biggest blunder in American medicine over the last century—and honestly, it’s still happening right now—is the way doctors treat us like we’re nothing more than a collection of biological parts... they just look at the material stuff and completely ignore the actual human being standing in front of them. You can't just treat a person like some kind of machine where you swap out components or fix gears whenever something breaks; that’s just not how it works because we are so much more than that. We are this complex, singular union of body, soul, and spirit... and until we actually start viewing a person as one whole, integrated entity, we aren't even going to begin to grasp what "illness" really means, let alone what true healing looks like. If you ask me, the root cause of all these ailments actually lies in our own flawed thinking... in the way we live lives that are fundamentally dishonest and disconnected from ourselves...

People talk about the power of thought like it's some big, trendy new concept everyone's discovered lately—and honestly, I get it, because I’ve seen folks turn their entire lives around just by shifting their mindset... but there’s a dark side to this whole thing that people conveniently ignore. It’s getting twisted all the time, you know? People are weaponizing their mental energy to chase after selfish, ego-driven goals, and let me tell you, that kind of manipulation is lightyears away from what we actually mean when we talk about "positive thinking." It’s dangerous, really... using that kind of influence just to feed your own ego isn't "manifesting," it's just being predatory. If you look at how the universe actually works, everything is basically just vibrating energy... it's all connected through these constant oscillations. Whether you're looking at solid matter, light, sound waves, or even just a fleeting thought or a gut feeling, it's all energy. Even the scientists are starting to catch up to this, proving through their research that our physical bodies aren't just reacting to the stuff we touch or see in the outside world. It goes much deeper than that. Our thoughts—and more importantly, those intense emotions—are directly driving the biochemical processes inside us. Thoughts are pure energy, and that energy hits our physical health head-on. If you're constantly feeding on negativity, you're essentially inviting sickness into your body, whereas staying positive... well, that's what actually fosters healing and keeps us healthy... it's all tied together, whether we want to admit it or not...

Thoughts, feelings... even those little subconscious twitches we don't even notice... they all dictate how we act, how we gesture, the way our faces move, every single movement, and most importantly, the words we say and the things we actually do, which are really just this massive surge of raw energy. It’s like the inner world spills out into the physical one and then circles right back around, all because there’s this constant, restless flow of energy shifting inside us... it never stops. There are these forces constantly clashing and interacting within us, talking to one another in a sort of internal dialogue. And honestly, that communication can either build us up, make us stronger, and bring us to life, or it can just completely tear us down until we finally break, depending on whether the energy swirling around is positive or negative... it really comes down to that.

Positive thinking isn't just some cheesy motivational poster you'd see in a corporate office in Chicago... it’s much deeper than that. It’s about those uplifting, constructive thoughts that are actually soaked in selfless love—you know, the kind where you genuinely want what's best for someone else without sitting around waiting for a pat on the back, a thank you, or some kind of reward... it’s just pure, kind, gentle energy. It’s about trust and being helpful, guiding someone through a tough spot so they can find their own way forward... it’s that sense of peace and unity, that quiet joy you feel when you're just staring at a massive sunset over the Grand Canyon or looking up at the clouds and realizing how much life is poured into every single color and shape we see. It’s gratitude, plain and simple, coming from that deep realization that we've been given so much... When you let that energy flow out from you toward others without any strings attached, it just comes rushing back tenfold, because at the end of the day, we are the ones giving because we are capable of loving. Those selfless, love-filled thoughts are a primal, vital energy... because God is love, and anyone who truly loves is living within God, and God lives within them...

Negative thoughts are just straight-up destructive... they’re basically pure egoism, you know? It's all that envy, jealousy, hatred, and just raw aggression toward the people around you. Then you’ve got those depressive spirals—where you're constantly overestimating things or belittling others—along with all those unrealistic expectations, the suspicion, and just general malice. It’s that daydreaming, dishonest headspace where you're stuck obsessing over the past or worrying about some future that hasn't even happened yet. And don't even get me started on the fear... that paralyzing terror of losing everything, whether it's your health, your money, your partner, or just feeling like you aren't cut out for the daily grind in this country. It’s also that fake sympathy and self-pity that doesn't actually help anyone, just makes things worse. It goes deeper, too, into those dark impulses to exploit or destroy nature and animals, or that bottomless greed for status, power, and just hoarding more than your fair share. It’s all just selfish, reckless circling around your own interests and nothing else... and when you're stuck in that mindset, you aren't giving anything back to the world. You're just a vacuum. Instead of letting energy flow to others, you're just trying to suck it out of them to fill your own empty tank and feed those ego-driven cravings... it's essentially just stealing energy from everyone else to cover up how depleted you really are.

Thoughts are basically different types of energy, varying in both intensity and flavor... and because of that specific "flavor," we end up building out this unique energetic field around ourselves. This field just keeps getting stronger the more often—and how intensely—we dwell on the same kinds of stuff. It’s like, similar thoughts attract one another, merging into this massive, shared energetic field, which eventually hardens into a full-blown energetic complex. It all makes sense when you consider that in this whole universe, energy can't just vanish; it can't be deleted, it only transforms from one state to another... which is pretty much what physics calls the 'law of conservation of energy.'

So, if energy can't just disappear into thin air, then every single thought has to "exist" somewhere or stay active, since it's created the moment we think it. But what actually happens with positive versus negative thoughts? Since every thought—or cluster of thoughts—is essentially energy, it carries a specific shape... some people claim they can actually see these thought-forms. They act like independent entities, carrying their own destination within them. If, say, we spend our time thinking about someone with a heart full of love, that little burst of energy we've generated starts traveling toward that person. That intention acts like a command, telling the universe to deliver that love-energy to them. And because of that, this thought-form will find its target with pinpoint accuracy. It doesn't even matter if the recipient knows we're thinking of them or where they are in the world; thought-energy isn't bound by time or space, it always hits the mark. These positive vibes can then impact the receiver—lifting them up and invigorating them, but only as much as they're actually open to receiving. If they can't take it in right away because they're stuck in a negative headspace, those positive energies just hang out in their aura, in that radiation field surrounding their soul, waiting until they call upon them with positive thoughts again.

On the flip side, if we're thinking negatively about someone else, we're building a negative energetic field; if we're sending out things like hate or envy, those thoughts leave us like autonomous little creatures and head straight for that person to try and mess with them. Now, if the person receiving them is thinking along the same lines, you get resonance—this shared energetic complex starts pulsing and vibrating, amplifying those negative thoughts. This is how actual "thought clouds" form, leaving a person stuck in a fog where they can't see anyone for who they really are anymore; they lose the ability to recognize the good in others. And obviously, that's how you end up with arguments or even straight-up fights. However, if those negative energies don't find any resonance in the other person—if there's nothing in them that matches that vibe—there's no "response," and they won't fall under the influence of those impulses. Of course, when someone is super sensitive, they might still feel those negative thoughts from someone close to them... almost like tiny needle pricks, or just feeling suddenly uneasy for no apparent reason.

🙂 🙂
I tried to pull out a few decent quotes here, but this text is just... well, it's certainly UNIQUE. Good God, the sheer amount of stuff crammed in here. Negative thoughts, energy vampires, egoism... it's just a total whirlwind of ideas. Bravo, I guess. 👍 👍 Ugh, man... if people actually spent more time reading actual physics and physiology, imagine where we'd be by now.

FFE said:And what, you think there's acetaminophen or ascorbic acid floating around in whiskey?

It's because of the ascorbic acid 😕 😕
Anyway, the whole recipe kind of makes sense and doesn't at the same time... when you evaporate alcohol, it causes cooling because the temperature drops. It's the exact same principle behind why we sweat, just basic evaporation physics. The purer the alcohol is, the better it evaporates, making it a more effective compress. But honestly, instead of messing around with those outdated old-school remedies, it’s way better to just put someone with a high fever in a lukewarm bath. Water conducts heat about six times faster than air and has a much higher thermal capacity—meaning it's going to pull way more heat away from the body. It's just a lot more efficient and significantly smarter than using whiskey or any of that other nonsense...
Daily water intake: Let's discuss in Health ·
What is even going on with this thread... seriously? Water flushes out salt and toxins from your body????? Drinking water gets rid of cellulite???????? Does chugging eight glasses a day somehow stop us from losing that primal sense of hunger just because we're stuck sitting through endless meetings????????????????????????????????????
My friends, instead of following these ridiculous, trendy nonsense trends, you really ought to start reading actual physiology textbooks—start with Guyton. It’ll teach you that the body has incredibly efficient ways of managing water and minerals (check out the chapter on kidneys), and it definitely isn't waiting for permission from some guy sitting in a boardroom sipping eight glasses of water first thing in the morning. If you had any actual skin in the game, maybe you'd wake up to reality...

Betty Bennett10 said:And who exactly said I was talking about an organism in its peak growth stage? 😕

Look, maybe you’ve got some other theories floating around in your head, but based on the actual nutritional guidelines I've come across for adults, they suggest about two cups of milk a day, which is pretty much that half-liter amount rustymoose54 was bringing up...

Betty Bennett10 said something earlier:
"I wouldn't say drinking a whole liter of milk a day is recommended—especially not for little kids."

So now, either I'm totally misreading this thread or you're just contradicting yourself right in front of me...
Honestly, there's nothing wrong with milk, nor is there such a thing as too much of it if you know what you're doing. It's one of the healthiest things out there. Sure, you can find substitutes for everything these days, but really, what's the point?...

rustymoose54 said:Yeah, just like I laid out in my previous breakdown, cream falls under the "fats and oils" category, whereas cheeses are grouped with "meat and meat alternatives." As for the fat content in cheese, well, it really depends on which kind you’re grabbing, but obviously, it's going to be higher than what you'd find in plain milk.

Look, I'm dealing with some health stuff right now, so I have to be incredibly precise about what goes into my body—both in terms of quality and exact amounts—especially when it comes to tracking animal fats (but honestly, I don't even want to get into the whole "why" behind that here... it's a lot. Anyway, milk, yogurt, cheese, and cream aren't mutually exclusive groups, they can all exist together in a diet

I'm with you there; I actually took your last post to mean the exact opposite of what you just said.
As long as someone isn't dealing with allergies or some kind of dietary intolerance, there's really no reason they can't drink milk or eat dairy products whenever they want without any issues at all.

Betty Bennett10 said:I mean, honestly, it feels like way too much fat to be eating in a single day.

But seriously, what does "too much" even actually mean when you're talking about someone whose body is basically in overdrive right now... how much fat can one system really handle during a massive growth spurt before things start going sideways...

rustymoose54 said:if you listen to what Pallas was saying, it’s clearly a viable substitute, especially when you need a calcium boost

Personally, I wouldn't touch more than half a liter at a time... just feels like way too much animal fat hitting your system all at once

And don't even get me started on cheese and cream, I basically count those as my meat or fat intake instead

I'm not entirely sure what math you're doing in your head here, but cream is basically pure dairy fat, and cheese isn't exactly light either... honestly, there's way more fat in a bit of cheese than there is in half a liter of milk. Besides, what's the harm in getting some extra animal fat in your diet?... maybe it's not such a bad thing...

I gotta say, I’m honestly scratching my head over why anyone would bother running distilled water through a cross-ion exchange system... maybe they're trying to dodge scale buildup before the actual distillation process, but I just don't see the point. Anyway, the way we handle things around here is by doing a double-distillation pass. We run the first round through some KMnO4 mixed with a bit of acid to oxidize any organic junk lingering in there. That's how we end up with the lowest conductivity readings possible.

Just so we’re on the same page here, distilled water is actually way more pure than that demineralized stuff...

Look, you can choose to be obsessive about it if you really want, but honestly, you're finding those minerals in plenty of other foods anyway... Water's got the highest calcium levels, sure, plus a decent amount of potassium and sodium too. As for anions, you're mostly looking at carbonates. You get all that stuff from regular food items regardless... Just stick to drinking distilled water if you're that worried, toss an extra couple of apples into your daily routine, salt your meals properly, and everything will turn out just fine. 😉 😁

Look, I’m a little out of the loop when it comes to all those inheritance patterns for diseases like this—I haven't really touched this stuff since my college days—but if nobody else who actually knows their way around this science decides to weigh in (like maybe Casey Palmer5 😉), then I guess I'll just have to roll up my sleeves and try to figure it out myself...
