Man, I really wish there was some way to stream this somewhere... since I'm stuck over here in Canada right now and they're only broadcasting their own local group...

if you look at it from another angle—I've totally lost my appetite... does that mean I shouldn't eat? even if I have to force it down?
okay, obviously I'd pass on broth, juice, fruit, whatever... I wouldn't drink anything else besides plain water. (by the way, in that half-liter to liter a day average I usually hit, everything is included) and while we're at it, I really want to kick the soda habit, even the diet stuff (all those sparkling waters, Diet Coke, etc...) I don't drink natural juices anyway...
who even came up with this whole concept in the first place? and where did people get the idea that this is actually healthy?
this whole "don't do this" thing carries such a negative vibe... like "you're gonna feel terrible" so I'm specifically wondering—are there any actual dangers tied to what I'm planning to try next
-----
and yeah, should I still be drinking water or maybe some tea... just something with a scent, decaf or caffeine-free...
like cherry flavored... or something like that... could be yellow... or maybe rooibos!
There’s no such thing as a "water drinking theory," because tea is basically just water with some spices, and honestly, almost any drink you touch is at least 95% water, and most of the food you eat is mostly water too. This whole "detox" thing is a myth; your body doesn't need some crazy fad to clean itself out, it's already doing the work on its own. Sometimes when people who drink heavily stop hitting the booze, their enzyme levels stabilize—that's about as close to a "detox" as you get. The modern obsession with "detoxing" is just nonsense that doesn't change how your biology works. Though, if you just call eating better and living healthier a "detox"... then sure, fine. Thirst is a much more primal, fundamental signal because water is more essential than food. If you needed hydration, you'd be thirsty. You aren't going to feel sick; your body is clearly getting enough liquid. Water or tea... it's all the same to me.
there are just a ton of different subforums where I could have dropped this question, but I figured this one hits on health more than anything, so I'm guessing I might actually get a straight answer here instead of just endless chatter about food or hobbies or random off-topic nonsense...
so, basically, how realistic is it to drink 2 liters of water a day?
I can force myself to hit that amount if I really try...
but is there any actual danger in suddenly overwhelming my system with all that liquid? (considering I used to be stuck at maybe half a liter or a liter a day)
Look, you can do it if you want, but you don't have to, because honestly, what does it even matter how much water you're drinking? Is this based on that ridiculous theory about needing several liters a day? Even the author mentioned they were talking about total fluid intake, including everything from food to other drinks. It's just another bit of nonsense floating around the news media... Don't go stuffing yourself with water if you aren't thirsty, because if you actually needed it, you'd feel it. Sure, it's healthier than soda or whatever else since it doesn't have all the sugar and carbs our food is packed with when we aren't even doing much physical activity...

It turned into this vicious cycle where things got further and further apart, making everything way harder than it should be, until it actually reached a breaking point where I started seeing bright red blood sometimes. Obviously, all that straining just wrecked things down there. I tried to fix it immediately, though, and now I'm obsessively trying to keep things soft so I don't end up back in that painful, bloody mess again. I'm doing everything I can just to get my system back to some kind of normal schedule. Anyway, I'm 25 right now.
I stumbled upon a really solid article about these kinds of issues on a health site, and it pointed me toward this "program" someone recommends: link What I'm actually wondering is how I can find similar supplements here in the States—and I mean stuff that AREN'T just straight-up laxatives—without having to deal with ordering everything online...
You should probably check if you have hemorrhoids or something, because why else would there be blood... and honestly, what's wrong with using a laxative when you're in a pinch? Maybe you just have what they call lazy bowel syndrome.
I can tell you, I’ve been sliding into Noah Myers8's DMs quite a bit lately, and honestly, I just can't bring myself to post all those lovely little nicknames she uses for me over on the main boards... It isn't even about the moderators, really... they're just a perfect reflection of the threads themselves... uneducated, shallow, and just plain wrong...
Honestly, welcome... though if you ask me, moderator Morgan Hernandez5 and moderator plavva are basically the gold standard for how *not* to run a community. It’s always the same story—as soon as someone tries to call out one of their little protégés (usually those scammers peddling their fake "miracle cures" and ripping people off), they immediately swoop in with point deductions and bans just to shut the conversation down.
Thomas Martin4 said:Look, whether it’s a good deal really just depends on what you actually shelled out for it... so why don't you just give me a number?
Paid about $950 for it. Am I an addict? Maybe... but hey, it works like a charm, I tried running the new Riddick and everything runs perfectly on max settings, though honestly, I can't tell if there's anything special going on with the card's factory overclocking or if it's just... well, you know...😕
So, I just picked up a 9800 GT with 1 GB of memory, and I'm really hoping I didn't get totally ripped off... some guy working at the local Best Buy gave me the recommendation, so fingers crossed...
I’m looking to pick up a new graphics card for my kid I've got a PCI-E slot available The power supply is a 300W P4 unit Running an Intel Core 2 duo E6400 2,13 GHz Got 2 Gb Ram Honestly, $333 I'm pretty much ready to drop some cash on this... I don't really get all the technical jargon, but I think I read somewhere that certain games need Shader Model 3 or something like that, so I definitely want a card that handles that... What kind of options am I actually looking at here, or what would be the best bang for my buck? Thanks in advance,😉 Also, what even is OpenGL 2 and is it something you actually need for modern games?
Thank God someone finally said it... Honestly, people need to stop peddling this whole "detoxification" nonsense. It’s a complete myth, just an urban legend at this point. If our bodies didn't handle the cleaning process themselves—primarily through the liver and kidneys—you'd probably be dead within three hours... The only thing any of these "detox" products actually detoxify is your bank account, stripping you of every extra cent you have.

Which kind though? Like, are we talking Atlantic tuna, Pacific, or maybe something from Southeast Asia?
