Alpine was almost on par with PP, but they were an absolute disaster during the actual race Haas is looking even worse Alfa Romeo was just mediocre McLaren looked great
Mercedes was pretty decent; I expected them to be fighting with Alpine and McLaren, but they actually turned out to be quite a bit better Max was totally chill, he's basically mastered this season Sainz is clearly the second driver
Is this the actual state of things now, or just the first two races?

Nicholas Latifi will probably trigger an SC... He isn't the only one who doesn't belong in F1, but he's definitely the worst.
If Alonso has a car capable of 5th, then he'll take 5th... shame about the breakdown, but watching him and Carlos Sainz go head-to-head against Mercedes-Benz should be interesting...

What absolute mythomania? Seriously, nobody in Formula 1 is out here calling this kid some legendary talent. All they ever say is how humble he is, how well-raised he is, and how eager he is to learn. He’s young. He’s got plenty of time to actually become a great driver as long as he keeps that hunger to improve.

Ferrari finally! Just two mediocre drivers in the mix, and the season is still so long... I've got a bad feeling Max Verstappen is just going to run away with it all... Mercedes should be back in the hunt in maybe 4 or 5 races, assuming Lewis Hamilton can get it sorted... Alfa looks decent enough, though having two total rookies on the squad is a mess. One’s young so there might be potential there, but Valtteri Bottas is basically driving for the back of the pack... Same goes for Mick Schumacher, honestly, what a joke...
It’s such a shame Gasly doesn't have a better car, he's a killer driver...
I don’t really get why everyone is hyping up Max Verstappen so much right now. The car feels dialed in and the handling was just spot on for this race... those last couple of turns before the finish line were fast enough to get the job done, I guess. Honestly, I think Charles Leclerc is going to eat him alive by the end of the season... plus, my money is on at least 5 or 6 crashes happening before the year is out. Just my two cents... Nobody seems to be talking about my favorite veteran driver sitting in second place, though... Such a shame for Sebastian Vettel, they basically snatched that win right out from under him.
Honestly, Alonso hit the nail on the head... the only ones actually posing a threat to Mercedes right now are McLaren. It might sound like a reach without all the data, but I’m inclined to agree with him...

Coming in second... it’s never actually satisfying. You just end up staring at the guy in first thinking about what went wrong... turns out, being the runner-up is just a fancy way of saying you lost.
That's just Kimi Räikkönen... That's the spirit... He would've torched the whole car just to try and take first place... if he'd actually pulled it off...

The guy was on tires two seconds slower than everyone else, still managed to claw back a nine-second gap, and then just tore through them on the softs by nineteen seconds... 🙏 🙏
