I was just reading some industry news and it honestly feels like every time I open a news feed lately, another beloved mid-sized studio is shrinking. It’s getting hard to stay optimistic about the "indie revolution" we were all promised a decade ago.
It feels like there’s this massive gap growing between the massive AAA giants and the tiny bedroom developers. The middle ground—those studios that actually have enough budget to take creative risks but enough staff to make something polished—seems to be getting hollowed out. It’s a tough spot to be in because you want to support unique voices, but you also want to know that the people making the games you love can actually afford to pay their rent next month.
I remember being so hyped about the idea of specialized teams having more autonomy, but lately, it feels like volatility is just becoming the baseline for everyone in the industry.

Not really a stretch...☕ Took me four tries to actually finish it.🤣 The biggest issue is how they totally botched the casting for every single role. Then you've got mediocre acting and jokes that just don't land. Zero chemistry between anyone on screen. Michael Rodriguez was a complete miscast. I spent half the time wondering what kind of weird hair situation she had going on. It looked terrible, then I realized it was supposed to be a braid.
Looking for a solid gastroenterologist in San Francisco, someone who actually takes the time to listen. Not just some guy looking to drain my bank account for prescriptions before kicking me out the door.
It’s worse than the first one. The original actually built the case brick by brick. The story felt earned.👍 The murder doesn't even happen until ninety minutes in, and honestly, nothing much happens before that. I knew the Black woman wasn't dead the second she hit the floor.☕I knew they were just going to use that to force the killer into the open. I knew who did it from the start. Destroying that napkin was just idiotic and predictable. The victim was pointless. Just no substance.👎 I can't stand greasy Norton; I wanted to just knock him out at the beginning. That was the hope, anyway.☕ The only good part is the island. The house is a bit too eclectic for my taste—way too busy—but that garden, the beach, the pool...🙏The outfits are great, too. If Musk had a house, this would be it.🤣 I didn't even like the trailer, but I tried to give it a chance. It’s just overstretched. The casting is fine, but they don't mesh. Especially Dave Bautista—looking all tattooed and tough—standing next to a literal supermodel. Kate Hudson was good, even if her character is a complete idiot. That's just who she is.👍All that partying in her house felt totally unnecessary.
Compared to the series, this is a total masterpiece.🤣 I liked the setting and the vibe; felt a bit like walking through Raccoon City myself. Could've used a little more runtime, though. The casting is fine enough.

The rest of it is just a mess. Scarlett Johansson is great, but honestly, the best part is the technical stuff—directing, editing, cinematography. It looks phenomenal, but that’s not enough to save it.
It's not a disaster, but it's definitely below average. Just exhausting. A real shame.
Scarlett Johansson is good, but you can hear her accent slipping through once in a while. Not constantly, but it's there. She could have handled it better.

I don't get why she threw it all away. It’s not like any court in America would charge a kid with murder. Sure, maybe she would have lost custody, but this? This is her entire life gone, plus prison time on top of it. Seems like a bad trade to me, especially since the kid is already in a coma and drugged up. Not worth it.
