Jason Vaughn482 said:Have you actually undergone a gastroscopy yet? And what medication are you currently taking?

I've got a 6.9 on my GI exam. Right now I'm just splitting a 1 mg Xanax to stretch it out over a few days, or using it when a panic attack hits hard. The nausea and heartburn always seem to flare up while I'm at work with clients.🙂Never actually thrown up, but you know that damn feeling. It's been ten years of this. Some days are better than others, but right now it's hitting pretty hard.🤷

Chloe Thompson9 said:Is it even possible that these pills aren't doing anything for me at all?
I mean, 6 mg of Xanax does absolutely nothing—not a single bit of calm, not a hint of relief, just zero change whatsoever.
Sure, the Prozac hasn't kicked in yet; I know that takes longer to build up.
But now my psychiatrist has me taking 1.5 mg doses of Xanax spread out throughout the entire day.
Then tonight, I took the Sanval 5 mg he prescribed for the first time, and... nothing. Just me staring blankly at the ceiling—and they tell you this stuff is supposed to knock you out instantly!
What is wrong with me? Why isn't any of this working?

10 mg is just a starting dose, if you want my advice. Take those 10 mg and give them to someone else—your mom, your dad, your partner. Don't even think about leaving them near you. Otherwise, you'll end up reaching for them in your sleep and reading in the news the next morning that some guy was wandering around Times Square in his pajamas.🤣

Larry Lewis said:Then just write them a letter and find a new doctor. I figured out one private practitioner right away was nothing but a total fraud—just someone playing games—so I stopped showing up, and that was that. There’s no point in all this "talking" nonsense; that's for people who can't handle their own lives—people who need a hand to hold—whereas real therapy should be about fighting your own battles. Honestly, I’d much rather pay for a coffee with a buddy than shell out money for $100 some psychiatrist just to sit there and chat.

Look, I've tried actual therapy. Deprozel, Wellbutrin, Xanax, Egoniyl, Sulpiride, Risset, etc.—all within two years. Stress is what kills me, plus being my own worst enemy because I care way too much about what people think. I'm a total softie. I cry over nothing, and everyone's words hit me hard, even though those people are worse off than I am. I just swallow everything and bottle it up because I hate confrontation, and then you end up with a massive mess. She was giving me meds meant for schizophrenics; I was a walking corpse, taking six different pills at once 😲. Seriously, who gives these people that kind of power? I helped myself more than anyone else, and it looks like that'll be the case again. Once I deal with this stomach disaster—whether it's cancer, an ulcer, gastritis, or whatever else—we'll see.🤷

Larry Lewis said:Look, she's probably acting normally enough—she's just trying to help you get through this.

Seroquel is a solid medication, really.

If she was actually trying to help, maybe. But my wife totally trashed my life—one hundred percent. She kept handing me meds that pushed me deeper into depression instead of pulling me out. I saw her for a year and just went from bad to worse, thinking, "Hey, she's a professional." You can't even imagine. Now a friend tells me patients are miserable because she prescribed the wrong stuff and sped up some old lady's dementia. She charges $100 for every single session, and she was pulling meds straight out of her desk drawer—stuff she took from the hospital where she still works. In one year, she cycled me through five different antidepressants and four antipsychotics like they were Tic Tacs. And there I was, the idiot, believing her. I ended up in such a mess because of her bad prescriptions that I gained 55 pounds in a few months. She should've warned me. I stopped showering, stopped dyeing my hair, my hygiene was non-existent, and my sex life was dead. Then, after the last med, the suicidal thoughts started—something I've NEVER dealt with before. They vanished the second I quit that drug. Coincidence? I don't think so, Sherloc! Not to mention how she kept calling and texting me for months after I stopped seeing her.🙄I went to her for anxiety and she turned my life into... a wreck. I can't sleep and she just keeps pushing antipsychotics when I told her I just needed someone to talk to. So please, don't tell me... you have no idea what this past year was like for me. I’d see someone else if I could, but I live on a remote island and she's the only option.

Anyone here actually used Seroquel? My psychiatrist put me on it for insomnia and anxiety. Now I’m reading up on the side effects and, man, is this stuff even normal?! She also prescribed Effexor. Claims it’s for depression, but I just have stomach issues—she thinks it's all just masked depression though.

Angela Patel79 said:Never had any skin stuff at all. Biggest issue was just feeling like it wasn't really working when I was on it.

Went to a birthday party once and asked my therapist if I could have one beer since I'm on antidepressants. She basically said, "Sure, go for three." Well, I had one, they ate all my dinner, and I definitely wasn't drunk. Then middle of the night hits, and this nausea kicks in so hard I thought I was actually dying.🙂
Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Michael Diaz4 said:Give some over-the-counter hemorrhoid cream a shot. It actually works for the pain. Most of the advice is pretty standard stuff you probably already know: stay clean, don't strain, eat light, and steer clear of spicy food—seriously, no hot sauce. Stick to greens, avoid anything that causes bloating or constipation, and watch out for diarrhea. Also, don't spend forever sitting on the toilet. feralsurfer172 mentioned a good way to clean up afterward (honestly, I still follow that routine even though my issues cleared up over a year ago, but hey, I kind of like showering anyway...)😁)

I'm not even much of a spice person, so that's fine. My biggest worry is just keeping things regular. Sometimes it goes ten days without me being able to go at all.🤷I eat a variety of foods and take Metamucil for digestion. I also have some Voltaren suppositories for the pain; used one recently and it did the trick,😍though it was a bit of a struggle to get it in there.😂

wiredmason56 said:It’s prescription-only, and apparently, it hits way harder than Sanval. I haven’t actually tried it myself, but a friend was telling me all about it. They say you use it before surgery or right before anesthesia, but the catch is that if you start relying on it too much, it just stops working. I’m honestly thinking about reaching out to Dr. Zan, but if this stuff is basically the same thing as Sanval, I’m worried. If I don't knock it back immediately while tucked into bed, I'll be tossing and turning all night long.☕

Zan isn't like Sanval to me. Worked pretty well for the first couple of months, then just stopped on its own without any drama.

Anyone got advice on what to take for sleep? It’s been seven days since I last closed my eyes. Somehow I’m still functioning, though I'm pretty much a walking nerve ending right now.🙂I know I said I wouldn't touch the stuff, but I'm hitting a wall. Just nothing heavy that leaves me wandering around at 3 AM trying to plan a wedding for my sleeping boyfriend. Maybe Normabel or unknown or unknown?
Dealing with hemorrhoids – any advice? in Health ·
Woke up yesterday with diarrhea and hemorrhoids—one small one and another about the size of a walnut. It’s not my diet or standing too much; it’s always after the stomach issues caused by these pills I've been on. Been dealing with this for six months now. If I stop the meds, the diarrhea stops. Made a mistake yesterday and only took half a caffeine pill, and now I'm paying for it. Actually fainted from the pain at work, bled, and ended up in the ER. They gave me a painkiller. The doctors there were shocked at how big the hemorrhoid was. I've had issues before, but two years ago it lasted a month and I thought I was stuck with it forever. While they were giving me stuff to calm down, the doctor told me to sit in a warm chamomile bath and use ice. Just applied some soothing balm and I'm feeling slightly better. Anyone have suggestions for a good cream? Doesn't matter if it has to be ordered online. This only seems to happen to me in the summer. Please help. The pain is brutal, and surgery is absolutely out of the question right now. I heard those specific tablets might help.

Kenneth Scott41 said:Look, if you want to actually get some rest, just pick up some Ambien; it’s worth every penny if you want to sleep like a log 😁

Does that Rohypnol require a prescription? Is it as heavy-duty as Valium?

Kenneth Scott41 said:I haven't been following the thread too closely, to be honest, but I can't help wondering why you’re experiencing those hallucinations. Is this something new for you, or is it a recurring issue that you deal with from time to time? I suppose it might even be a side effect from some medication you've been taking lately...

Nah. I was hallucinating because I was coming off Samuel. One time only. Ended up having an absence seizure.

fadedbear92 said:Have you ever tried Prazin? That's what I use to help me sleep.

No way. Not happening anymore. Getting off those meds was brutal.🙂 Spent an entire night in the ER puking and shaking like a leaf, seeing things that weren't even there. Honestly, I'd rather just have two beers or some Xanax to take the edge off, then just stay up on my laptop or the TV until morning. Winter makes everything worse—I don't work, I'm just stuck at home, and that’s basically a recipe for disaster.🤣

Timothy Wood38 said:I'm on Zane too, and personally, it works great for me without any side effects. I take 20 mg, which definitely does the trick. That's pretty much the ceiling for the dosage.

Honestly, I was terrified of taking four at once; I could barely bring myself to take one 5mg pill.🤷Past bad experiences with sleep meds left me paranoid. I took one 5mg pill around 11 PM, then another around 1:30 AM, and I was out cold—dreaming about shopping on eBay.🤣But every time I checked the clock at 3, 3:30, or 4, I was still awake. I had this same reaction to Zane about two years ago, though. It just stopped working entirely. Like I was taking placebos.🤷I'm not touching anything stronger. The side effects are brutal—brain fog, hallucinations, memory loss... stuff like that. I'd rather just have two tequilas and go yell at people on a forum instead.😁

My psychiatrist put me on Zane for sleep a while back. It actually worked—helped me drift off without any weird auditory hallucinations or feeling like my personality was shifting. But last night? Total bust. Like I was swallowing nothing at all.🤷At first, I figured she’d just handed me a placebo, but no way. I didn't sleep a wink. Took the standard 10 mg dose right before bed, but nothing happened. Just spent the whole night staring at the wall waiting for the sun to come up.🙂I react way too strongly to other meds,😁 so she cut me off.
Showgirls (1995) in Movies ·
They trashed it because it’s considered trash. Personally? I liked it. It was sexy, and those sex scenes were basically porn. I heard the lead actress had a nightmare dealing with men after the movie—people calling her names, labeling her a slut... even her boyfriend ended up in jail because he got into a fight with some guys who were harassing her.☕She isn't exactly an A-list talent, but she nailed this role. She was born for it.😬Not much work for her after that, either. If that doesn't tell you everything you need to know, I don't know what will.🤣
Snow White (2012) in Movies ·
I thought this Snow White was way better than Kirsten.🤷Just talking about acting skills, really. I’d just pluck her eyebrows for her. Roberts switches up her accent twice during the movie, but overall, it’s a great, dreamy film. That fight between the Prince and Snow White actually reminded me a bit of that scene from Zorro, but it was executed really well—and sexy.
melloworca6 said:So how exactly do you expect doctors to write anything useful? 🙂 It’s pretty much impossible to make sense of any lab results without a full medical history and a list of symptoms. One tiny detail you think doesn't matter could change the whole diagnosis.

Fine, thanks.
vividsailor7 said:Can we just look at the first post?
It shouldn't be that hard.

I read the first post, but I really don't have the energy to type out three pages of lab results. That's the only weird part. My annual physical through work came back perfect, everything else is fine. I'm 33.
