Managed to find the GPU drivers myself, and any drivers made for Vista seem to work fine without issues—unlike this forum, which keeps throwing 504 Gateway Time-out errors.😠 😠
Anyway, I have two quick questions:
1: I've been looking everywhere, but I can't figure out how to set it back to a classic start menu.
In Vista, it was on the left side when you opened the Control Panel, but now it's just empty, and I can't find the setting if it even exists.
2. When I open Windows Media Player, the taskbar stays at the bottom, which wasn't an issue in Vista; back then, things would just fill the whole screen once maximized. Is there a way to fix this without using autohide, or is that the only option?
Thanks.

Is there any way to actually have control over those folders so I can just delete a movie or an album without having to mess with folder settings every single time😠?

I guess I care more about performance than all that nonsense, though I’m still not totally happy; even with a 3.0 dual core and 6GB, editing Full HD video is a total mess.
And this new media player supposedly supports those formats, but the audio won't play for me...
Whatever...

neonmaker12 said:it feels like it used to work the way you described... if it said 5 mins, it was actually 5... but I don't know for sure.
And all this stuff I'm finding online—mostly RapidShare accounts packed in RAR files—is there anything useful in there or is it just straight-up viruses? (Just asking)
neonmaker12 said:When I'm downloading from MediaFire, it'll say there's 20 minutes left, then suddenly jump down to 10... but the thing is, the actual file takes like 40 minutes to finish.
Even when it says there's only 2 minutes left, it's usually still going for another 5. It definitely lies...
darkfalcon16 said:That’s basically what I did right after installing—just grabbed whatever Windows 7 drivers were suggested and set them up...
darkfalcon16 said:Basically... I'm working with a Dell and Windows 7 Professional on a student license. I've managed to install all the drivers except for:
Any idea how I can figure out what's missing?
One more thing—total newbie question here—but I was using Outlook Express and made a backup of my .dbx files. I thought I could just import them into Mail once I grab it from Microsoft Essentials on Windows 7, but I keep getting an error and it won't download😢... is there some other way to get Mail for Windows 7?
I'd switch over to Outlook, but I've got those .dbx backups...
Thanks🙏
neonmaker12 said:1. Do I really need to install Nero il or something similar on Windows 7? I see it has its own DVD burner built-in. If so, why bother?
neonmaker12 said:I didn't change it back then just so I wouldn't see anything..
Bumped it up to 125...
I get the feeling that WinFax... the image viewer displays things in 16-something instead of 32. (even though it's set to 32)
because it totally wrecks some of the midtones, it's wild

I guess I'm wondering if it'll handle my old files made in the original Word, like from Office 2002?!
And am I going blind? Two days ago I was on Windows XP and the picture looked incredibly crisp, but now it isn't, and my wife says it looks kind of blurry!
neonmaker12 said:Looking for some advice,
I found Office 2010, which is supposedly compatible with Windows 7 64-bit,
but it's split into 4 .rar files, and inside each one there are even more little .rar files. On my old XP machine, I’d just mark those 4 and extract them to a new folder—that's how I always did installs—but it isn't working this time. Btw, every one of those 4 .rars is password protected, maybe that's the issue? I have the password, obviously.
I also have Nero 9, and I'm following the instructions, but the keygen isn't working... Maybe this isn't the right place, but if anyone has an idea or knows a spot for reliable, basic software... As for that image, I don't see why it looks so clear to you guys... here's another "screenshot," some parts look really "blurry" http://img121.imageshack.us/i/mansno.jpg/
I guess I don't know why my screenshots are pulling purple tones when they should be blue (the letters)
Btw, I have to zoom in on my browser just to read anything
