Douglas Roberts49 said:Is this all intentional—or just pure chaos?

Yeah
David Lewis24 said:Man, I honestly feel for the guy. Maybe the only way to make it up to dear Russell is if they actually pick him up as a driver next season.

George Russell did all he could at Mercedes-Benz.

He was brought in solely to prove that anyone can win in a Mercedes-Benz—not just some fake GOAT.

When he didn't play ball, they screwed him over. In the most obvious way possible.

By handing him the wrong tires.

Yeah, right.

At least Flavio Briatore kept things interesting back during Singapore 2008, whereas Toto Wolff is just playing us for fools.

And he's been doing it for seven years straight.
stormytiger4 said:How’s little Russell looking out there today? Honestly, one solid race was all he needed to prove that the Mercedes-Benz is a beast and Bottas is just dragging them down.
And if Red Bull Racing doesn't snap up Perez, they're losing their minds.

I told you the other day—Perez is headed to Mercedes.
Toto is directing this whole thing like some amateur director in a community theater production.
Drew Bennett68 said:Look at that pig, he's still struggling to catch up back there

It's honestly tragic—so many actually talented drivers could be behind the wheel of that Mercedes-Benz instead of having to deal with Bottas.
Perez is a beast.
Definitely the strongest driver in Formula 1 right now
He’s heading to Mercedes next year
Drive that Bear cassette straight to victory
God, please—let's get Esteban Ocon a win just so Fernando finally lands in a winning car next year.
Here comes the crate
So, basically the team that supposedly never misses a beat somehow trips up the second they put a driver behind the wheel who’s proven the whole GOAT label is just a total scam

Honestly, this is even more soul-crushing than Singapore 2008
bluepuma9 said:Rosberg, Button, Alonso. Where'd I miss the mark?

Look, Lewis Hamilton didn't race a single inch against Rosberg world champion. Hamilton crossed the line first in Abu Dhabi 2016, then Rosberg followed. That was it—that's when he became the world champion. They only did one parade lap together. But a parade lap isn't actual racing. It doesn't count.

They haven't shared a track since.

So, if we're being strictly technical, Hamilton hasn't raced even a millimeter against Rosberg world champion.
silverviper44 said:I think that disastrous pit stop by Valtteri Bottas just killed any chance he had at winning.

They straight up screwed over both Bottas and George Russell—all just to keep Lewis Hamilton looking good.

This was totally rigged.
Kenneth Cruz67 said:It’s funny, because unlike those other champions who actually earned their titles through grit and hard work—you know, things like driving tractors, riding school buses, or even hauling septic tanks—this guy apparently just had a fast machine. 🤦

Honestly, I feel like we’re going to see all sorts of wild takes on this forum lately. Someone claiming a driver only won because of his car? Goodness gracious, give me strength!

Look, Alain Prost wasn't carried to his '86 title either

And neither Schumacher 1995 both

Both those titles were won in the second best (for Schumacher) or third best (for Prost) car of the season.
Joseph Flores15 said:Is it actually possible for Valtteri Bottas to be such an absolute disaster? 🙏

Sadly, yeah. And George Russell isn't exactly elite either—just an average driver. Like, maybe slightly better than a crate.

If Fernando Alonso was driving that Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton wouldn't have seen a single title in his life.
Props to Mercedes. They’ve basically proven they’re the top dogs with the best car—seven seasons straight now. Honestly, the greatest feat in Formula 1 history is building a machine so dominant that even a total amateur could hop in and cruise to a win without any prep work at all.

I feel for Lewis. This whole situation just casts a massive shadow over his entire legacy.

Aside from that one back in 2008—which he basically stumbled into because his only competition was a mediocre Felipe Massa driving a subpar Ferrari.

He’ll forever be remembered as the guy whose car did all the heavy lifting for his career achievements.
Dana Murphy4 said:I guess I’m just a little confused by some people claiming that Perez didn't deserve his win today. It seems a bit strange to say he was undeserving when he was sitting all the way back in 18th place after the first 😁

Sergio Perez is easily the best driver in Formula 1 right now

I've been preaching this like a broken record for weeks, but y'all just refuse to listen.

He’ll be sitting in a Mercedes-Benz seat next season. Just watch.
William Gomez5 said:Crofty says

- Russell will probably get the DQ because he used up one extra set of tires (mostly because they put him on Bottas's)

- Charles gets a Charles Three Place grid penalty for next week

What a guy. This guy is never gonna score points. Ever. In his entire career.
Consider this a warning sign.
wiredfalcon2 said:Look, you and I? We're in the exact same boat.

There's no way you two are in the same group—the President respects LOM too much for that.
stormytiger4 said:Xenophobia? I wasn't even talking about Americans, I was talking about their NASCAR stock cars. 😳

Honestly, I think this race by Russell might actually hurt Hamilton more than it hurts Valtteri Bottas. Look, we all know Bottas isn't exactly at his peak anymore, but now it's blindingly obvious how easy it is for Hamilton to look like a record-breaker when he's sitting in a car like this.

Americans have some legit racing—high-quality stuff like IndyCar and IMSA.

NASCAR is just a freak show for the masses; doesn't even count as real racing.
mellowtiger83 said:You haven't noticed that George Russell would probably win easily even if he were wearing smaller shoes? He'd do it on his first outing in that car, and quite convincingly too—not that they'd let him lose in a Mercedes-Benz.

Forget Hamilton. Honestly, I've moved far beyond him.

Russell would absolutely crush him.

Exactly. Russell was lapping Valtteri Bottas like he was driving a Marussia.
