F1: Then vs. Now in Formula 1 ·
Alexander Flores3 said:The 2008 Brazil Grand Prix. For me, it was easily the most beautiful race ever... You could just feel that day that Formula 1 had finally found its next big star for the seasons to come... Lewis Hamilton...

Chronologically, it starts with Vettel—who actually beat him and basically forced some random team o'clock to hand over the title. 😁

Alexander Flores3 said:I'd have to say Verstappen... you're probably thinking of that wild race back in '96 where only three cars actually made it to the finish line at the Monaco Grand Prix...

Taka Inoue—yeah, Taki Inoue was also a total blast of a driver behind the wheel of that Footwork-Hart

He slammed into the SC in Monaco back in '95,

and then the SC literally ran him over during the same year in Canada.

There’s even a parody based on the legend of Taki Inoue.

Sure, maybe he was a bit sloppy, clumsy, totally lost, or just doing his own thing—but honestly? He’s a legend in my book. And that parody is spot on.

Plus, his social media presence just proves what a class act he is.

So yeah—laugh at Taki all you want, but give him his respect at the same time.

You can do both.

If you ask me, he’s one of those characters the younger generation definitely needs to be reminded of every now and then.

Which one? Verstappen, Rosset, or Inoue?

With people acting like this, I guess we should probably expect even stricter lockdowns and mandatory quarantines soon...

Like I said before—and I’ll say it again—these folks clearly need an electric collar with a GPS tracker. That way, if they step out of bounds, maybe a little shock would remind them to stay put...

Well, hey, at least it's another $700,000 pumped into the federal budget
Joseph Taylor11 said:And how am I meant to get to my apartment over the next month to make sure it hasn't crumbled? Empty houses are basically an open invitation for thieves and idiots, and there's going to be plenty more of both around now. If I come back in a month and find I've been robbed, who am I even supposed to complain to? Who's actually going to track down the thief?

What are the odds of all this actually happening?

Higher than the odds of Washington, D.C. getting hit by its biggest earthquake in 140 years right at the same time as a global pandemic.

Cut the drama. Honestly, I’m in almost the exact same boat as you—I've got property in a neighboring city and scored my permit in less than 24 hours after hitting submit on the online application. Now I can legally roll over there whenever I feel like it to check on things.

Did you even bother to submit the application online?

God, the sheer beauty of it.

What even is that?

An engine inspired by a ghost or something?

So you don't even get basic math now!?

Even Čimavica knows more about math than you—he's out here explaining everything to everyone

That was a rhetorical question, you idiot. 🙄

Answer this one: Bob Sapp is one of a kind—who else is even buying those other 999,999 xyr-ices?

Google says there are plenty of them (potential xyr-ice users)

Get this—there are practically

1,900,000,000

Maybe if Bob Sapp was the one driving it!?

Exactly! You basically admitted it yourself!

Just try organizing those thoughts in that cute little head of yours, okay?

Just give him a nice little apology and everything will be fine!
Gary Palmer8 said:Calling Leclerc "Bright" is such a reach—it’s pretty obvious most of you racists think Lewis Hamilton is too dark, so you’re trying to diminish his performance with this nonsense... didn't they teach you we're all equal under the skin?

The nickname "Bright" has zero to do with skin tone.

"Bright" refers to those rare individuals whose intellect—not their complexion—is absolutely brilliant; basically, people with an enlightened mind and spirit. It's about mental clarity, period.

As far as the world is concerned, there are currently only two "Bright" ones left

Joseph Bright and Charles Presvetli Leclerc
James Harris34 said:I have zero clue what you're even getting at—but look, the bottom line is Ferrari has the best car this season. If they hadn't blown 4 or 5 wins in the first 10 races, it's purely because their drivers couldn't get it together.

Good grief

Ferrari was a total mess during the first half of the season

They actually got smoked in Canada
mellowtiger83 said:Maybe that logic works for some idiots at a local dive bar—but anyone actually following F1 knows Robert Kubica got absolutely wrecked.

Not sure about that—Williams Racing sees things a bit differently, considering that one-armed porn star basically secured their entire budget with that single point.
mellowtiger83 said:Hey, at least we got a fresh nickname for the driver from our esteemed, dark-haired colleague.

Charles Leclerc—the "Presvetli" version—is officially fair game now.

Catholic, Presvetli, Finger, El Maestro, whatever...

I was actually the one who personally dubbed Charles Leclerc "Presvetli"—and honestly? It’s not just official and permitted, it’s mandatory across every single thread in this entire PDF.
mellowtiger83 said:Look, Kubica did the same thing to George Russell—just like Tarso Marques did to Fernando Alonso back in the day. There's plenty of examples.

I'm honestly sick of these "stats" people obsess over—just get it done already.

So what?

Robert Kubica outscored George Russell. That’s just a cold, hard fact. He's sitting higher than him on the standings, too. At the end of the season, based on how things are looking right now, Kubica is going to be the more successful driver compared to Russell.

Speed doesn't matter—points do.

That's just how the sport works.
