Look, this isn't the place to be circling back to arguments from those deleted threads over on the other PDF. Let's just move on.
Bringing IMG back to the Teens subreddit in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Reddit really isn't the right place to be dissecting something as heavy as the death of a child.
Look, I get it—it’s public news, and nobody is trying to sweep this under the rug or hush anyone up, but I honestly don't see why we need to be debating it right here in a thread dedicated to traces.
If you guys are looking to dive deep into tragic events like this or other similar topics, there are plenty of other subreddits and discussion boards better suited for that kind of conversation.

As for the whole thing about deleting posts? That’s just a standard tool for moderators to use. Posts get taken down when they need to be, and that happens on Z as much as it does anywhere else on Reddit.
Can someone please put a stop to Eugene in the off-topic section? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Look, this isn't the place for everyone to start bickering with one another.
If you've got an issue with a penalty or a card you received, please head over to the dedicated appeals thread. Since the moderator has already given their final word on this, I'm locking the thread now. We’ll jump back in if we absolutely have to.
Any suggestions? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
You can actually subscribe to specific threads if you want to stay in the loop. If you head over to your settings, there’s an option to automatically follow every single discussion you jump into. You can set it up to ping your email whenever there's activity, or just keep it all within the app—totally up to you.
Once you dive into your Settings, look under User Control Panel, right here:

Now, if you aren't looking to follow absolutely everything (I get it, my inbox is already a disaster zone), you can just pick and choose. Just find a thread that catches your eye, go to the topic tools, and select the subscription option there.

When you're hanging out on Reddit, you'll see a dedicated section under your options that lists every single thread you've subscribed to.
Ban me, please in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Alright, you're banned for a year.
Issues with the moderator in Feedback & Suggestions ·
There’s really no point in making a whole thread out of this if we’re just going to settle things through private messages anyway. I'm heading out.
When ad hominem attacks get personal in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Hit the report button and give the mods at least 24 hours to look into it.
There’s really no point in starting a whole new thread just two hours after someone posts.
Bisexual orgies and child-eating monsters in Feedback & Suggestions ·
You’ve got your answer, so I’m locking this thread.
If you decide to appeal this again, please just open a new topic without any of the baiting or trolling—let's just stick to the rules, okay?
Some of these posts were flagged and removed right away on other threads, while the rest got hit with bans a little later on.
Grace Sullivan42 said:1. Why was the first thread shut down, and for how long?

It got closed because it turned into an attempt to psychoanalyze the author. And it’s gone for good.

2. Why hasn't the second thread been moderated for days?

Because there wasn't a moderator available.

3. Why was the third thread shut down immediately while the second one stayed open, even though they're basically the same thing?

Simply because they are the same type. One provocative thread was enough to cover that whole topic.
4. Why are only direct insults (calling someone a jerk or an idiot) getting banned, but not the insults directed at rape victims or women in general—like those "advice" posts that minimize sexual assault risk or characterize victims as having mental issues or being promiscuous? What happened to the rest of Rule 6 in the United States Code? If that's the case, we might as well just use bots or scripts instead of actual mods who just hand out bans for direct insults; we don't need living people with common sense. If this isn't seen as insulting or flaming, couldn't it at least be moved to off-topic?

I’d actually love to see an example of what you mean here, because what can I say to such a vague accusation? Of course, there might be things we didn't ban, or things we didn't realize were insulting victims. Or are you trying to imply that we secretly encourage insulting victims and that's why we don't ban those posts?🤷

5. Why were the posts after the moderator's warning and supposed conclusion just deleted instead of left up and then banned?

Because that was the moderator's decision.

6. Why was my entire previous thread on Pžk deleted because of one single banned question (by Nica), while an identical thread on Washington, D.C. was only recently closed (by Dorian Gray)?

-
7. Is there actually any policy or guiding philosophy behind moderating these kinds of threads (which are meant to be supportive), or does one even exist?
a) Does repeatedly lecturing people on how to reduce rape risks count as off-topic or flamebait?
b) Is mourning the victims of false accusations off-topic or flaming?
c) Is diagnosing someone's mental capacity or intelligence actually within the rules here?
d) Can people just ignore the United States Code and try to write their own definitions of rape?
I'm just trying to figure out what to steer clear of for next time.

Seriously though, give me some examples—like, what does ignoring the United States Code actually look like in practice?
Complaint regarding Moderator Rhino in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I honestly don't see how the moderator made this personal. She handed out a warning and cleared the off-topic clutter, and if anything, she was being pretty light about it.
If you really want to stop people from turning discussions into personal attacks, the much more effective move is to just ignore those posts entirely and hit the report button when necessary.

As for the part of your complaint regarding which specific moderator issued which warning—that’s really beside the point. If a post needed a warning, it got one. It shouldn't matter which moderator on the team actually clicked the button.
The hate against the track is getting out of hand in Feedback & Suggestions ·
You drew a comparison to criminal ideologies in those posts, but honestly, I just saw it as trolling.
You also left out the part where they were calling for ethnic cleansing and genocide, along with all that hateful rhetoric you mentioned in your reports.

Nica and the rest of the admin team can see the controversial posts themselves, so they can step in if they feel the penalties handed out weren't quite right.

stormyraven14 said:Does this mean we aren't allowed to organize anything on the Zebra boards now? Like, if there's an emergency at the World's Fair, or if the Little Dragon puts together a drive, are we off limits for organizing help?

Because, if I'm following correctly, you can't even mention immigrants on the Zebra anymore.

If that's really the case... man, you guys have really gone overboard. 🤦

Of course you can still organize charity drives.
And obviously, we aren't going to scrub every single mention of refugees or crises from the site.
We don't have a "forbidden word" list here; it’s all about the context of how things are being said.
Look, this is just the world we're living in right now. We aren't going to jump down someone's throat every time the word "refugee" comes up, but we're also not going to turn the Zebra into a dedicated forum for that topic either.

Sandra Thompson5 said:Look, immigrants were thoroughly vetted before they ever set foot in America. This current situation? It’s a completely different beast. I’m trying to explain this, but honestly, just bringing it up caused someone to lose their mind—they practically flew at me with a clenched fist hovering over their keyboard. And the crazy part is, nothing even happened! We might have avoided all this nonsense entirely if we had just exchanged a few casual thoughts about the mysteries on the forums.

Look, I’m not playing dumb here, so please don't act like I am either.

Nobody actually got slapped down here. It was just a friendly heads-up to keep things from spiraling out of control before the whole thread turns into a total circus.
Look, nobody was stopping anyone from talking about what's happening right now. There wasn't any deleting of posts, no censorship, and definitely no bans. Everything was out in the open.
Just a quick heads-up right off the bat—I’m dropping a warning here because she just touched on a topic that is notoriously explosive. You know how it goes; one wrong word and the whole thing goes up in flames.
Honestly, even if a few more posts about that topic slipped through after the warning, I don't think anything would have actually changed. It’s just one of those things.
Instead, this is what actually went down.
coastalwolf87 Asks:
Sure, it’s possible, but honestly? Everything happening lately is just the fallout from that unresolved mess from back then. And look, brightpuma is absolutely right on this one—that whole internal maneuver was handled perfectly. Seriously, bravo!🙂And just like that—boom—you’re left staring at total chaos.
You really let it happen, didn't you? You took a regular forum regular and turned them into a total headache. It’s wild how quickly things can spiral like that. 🤣

It’s pretty obvious this topic is a total lightning rod. It isn't just happening here on the forums, either—I noticed they've already scrubbed the comment sections on all the major news sites too. Honestly, it feels like the only place you can even mention this without getting flagged is within strictly controlled political circles. I'm not being dramatic, but it really makes me wonder if we've somehow slipped back into the eighties.
Look, I get it—the girls see it too. But honestly? They’re just being difficult. A little dramatic, if you ask me. Just a bunch of hens, really. 😉

What really rubs me the wrong way is when they start dragging all that messy, unkempt stuff into the conversation. You know what I mean? It just feels off.

And that’s exactly why... heehee... revolution! 🐔

So, who was the one that actually brought oat and coarse hair into the conversation first?
I certainly wasn't being that way, and I promise my warning wasn't meant as an insult.
I honestly have no clue how they managed to spin that and conclude I’m only interested in things like makeup or nail polish. Seriously, where did they even get that from?🤷

Look, what I wrote to Sandra Thompson5 earlier... I just felt like I had to speak up the second things started getting heated. I wanted to throw out a little warning so everyone stays sharp. We really don't need anyone getting their accounts flagged or facing a permanent ban over this kind of stuff. Let's just keep it cool.
Look, I didn't go around deleting posts, and I certainly wasn't censoring anyone.🤷
It really doesn't make sense anymore in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Generally speaking, we don't allow links to other forums here, and this community is no exception.
If you want to swap photos, just do it through private messages—from what I've seen, that's how most people handle it anyway.
It really doesn't make sense anymore in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I’m still getting my bearings with the PDF, so I haven't had a chance to dig through every single page just yet. It would be a huge help to everyone if you guys could flag those kinds of issues as soon as you spot them.
Honestly, ever since I stepped into this moderator role, I haven't received a single report regarding that specific thread.

Alright, let me jump in and get to work on this now.
Are we all the same? in Feedback & Suggestions ·
I just finally sat down at my computer and had a spare moment to start digging through the applications, though I won't be able to really dive deep into this thread until I have more breathing room.
Real life happens, you know? I can't exactly be glued to the screen 24/7.

Brenda Booth19 said:Look, I don't want to clutter up the board with a whole new thread, but I really need an answer to something I've brought up a few times that seems to be flying right under everyone's radar:
will this specific post get flagged?
Because if it won't, then I'll know I can use terms like "xenophobic" or "fascist" whenever I feel like it—regardless of the topic, who I'm talking to, or the context.
That goes for threads where moderation is light, and even when things are being strictly policed.

Thanks!

I actually gave her a combined strike for her contributions to the thread, since I wasn't looking back at old posts to issue sanctions before I took over the topic.
From here on out, though, I'm going to be flagging stuff like this immediately.

Olivia Murphy24 said:So, this "controversial" thread finally popped up on the forum. And right on cue, Sarah Doyle54—who actually started this whole mess in the first place—shows up to keep hurling insults and labeling people. She’s straight-up violating the very rules that were set when the topic was opened:

I’ve reported both posts. Now, I’d really appreciate an answer: is this lovely moderator going to face any consequences, or are you just going to look the other way like you always do whenever certain female users get involved?

I’m quoting her posts here before they vanish:

I was caught off guard by that, honestly. Usually, it feels fair to give people at least a 24-hour window from the time a post is reported until a new topic is opened. We aren't glued to our screens 24/7.

Olivia Murphy24 said:Maybe you forgot to mention that those were just reactions to your own insults?
Oh, sure, I’m sure you "forgot" ☕

If you’re getting banned for being abusive, then go ahead and ban me too.
Or, if you wanted to be extra pathetic about it, you could just say, "Please, give me a ban!"

🤮

Just because someone threw the first insult doesn't give anyone else a free pass to be toxic.

What, like "turn the other cheek"? Thanks, but I don't need a lecture on whether I should be a saint. I'm just making sure nobody mistakes me for being rude by accident.

You can't point out something that only exists in your own head.
