The guys on our side can't even get Fak the decent training sessions he needs because those John types have basically blackmailed them to keep him all to themselves. All the funding for the training is already locked in by sponsors and the national federation, so I totally get why our guys are feeling screwed over. This isn't about whether the Smith brothers actually want to play for the US or not. It’s more like Fak was backed into a corner by the folks over in Canada. He's got zero leverage here.
So, look, if that's how it works, then just cough up the cash... You don't have $100,000 on you? Man, you guys are cheap as hell...
Henry Cox78 said:How much compensation is our league looking for and what's the reasoning? Personally, I think it’d be pretty reckless to just screw him over and leave him without any way to move forward.
I honestly don't see what part of this isn't crystal clear. Regardless of how much it ends up being, the league has been pouring money into his development for years, so now they want at least a portion of that investment back. What's the big deal?
Don't tell me you guys actually think he was footing the bill for those training sessions with the guys from Canada all by himself?
Janez Fak just announced this pathetic little press conference where he’s probably going to beg for a get-out-of-jail-free card without paying a dime in damages. What a joke... These guys want all the glory but refuse to foot the bill.
I mean, what’s next on the agenda? Is he going to start asking us to pay him just for the privilege of playing for them?
What are you even talking about? Why on earth should an athlete be expected to turn down the best possible opportunities just to play for their home country?
Look, any top-tier American athlete could easily find a massive payday in somewhere like Qatar if they wanted to chase those dream contracts. So what, they should just walk away from it all?
When he walks out at the next Olympics representing his neighbors instead of carrying our flag like he did two years ago, I honestly hope he feels like total crap.
And frankly, I highly doubt he’ll ever reach those heights or win anything meaningful again...
But hey, we also shouldn't ignore how our national athletic federation keeps dumping all the funding into football while leaving every other sport out in the cold.

That’s just not how the studio system works...
A: Let's make a movie. B: About what? A: Let's just grab a classic and remake it. B: Uhm... I don't know. A: Of course you do! What's the Best movie of All time? B: Uhmmm... Citizen Kane? A: Exactly. Let's do Citizen Kane 2. B: But... Kane is dead. A: CLONING, BABY!!!!!!!!!
placidjackal36 said:What an absolute joke. Why would you even bother buying something like that when you can just wash it like any normal person? It’s clearly designed for the idiots in an Oprah studio audience who just sit there nodding along to everything. Total soccer mom nonsense. 🤮
What's your point? You thinking you could just DIY this thing? Or are you suggesting everyone should just blow their nose and call it a day?
Personally, I’d rather clear my sinuses by diving four meters deep and doing a few laps in a pool. That’ll definitely clear things up.
When I'm actually at home, though, I just grab one of those little rinse kits from DM for a couple of bucks and get the job done.
I don't really get why everyone is getting so worked up. 😕 It isn't some $100, new-age mumbo-jumbo... It's just a piece of plastic with zero science behind it. There are literally two lines of instructions...

LISTEN UP!
It could potentially be an abdominal aortic aneurysm.

Best,
I'd love to jump in, but I'm actually heading out to the coast tomorrow...
Catch you guys next time. Thanks for reaching out, though. I'll definitely be down for the next one. 🙂

...what? Just waiting for the trees to grow? 😉
Man, I haven't checked in for ages. If you guys ever run short on players, just let me know—I can pull 2 or 3 patients out of my clinic (myself included, since I'm the chief physician 😁 )
You can't tell people to show up at 8:00 AM and then leave them shivering out in the freezing cold until 9:00. It’s just plain disrespectful. Seriously, what are we even doing here? Just let everyone inside so they can grab a drink and settle in while you finish getting things sorted. What’s the actual hold-up?
I honestly thought the place was going to be absolutely packed. Not even close. It felt like the same old crowd showed up—the usual regulars, as always—along with a tiny handful of younger faces. Times are definitely changing. And if you ask me, things are looking pretty bleak.
Tom and the crew absolutely killed it tonight. They played some of their own stuff along with a few Sisters covers, and honestly? They sounded even tighter than the actual Sisters did. The Mission sounded incredible. Honestly, I couldn't have asked for more. They totally blew me away—just an absolutely killer concert.👍
Morgan Chase4 said:I caught them live in New York City, and man, they were killer. Seriously, just check out the "Lighting The Candles" DVD—they sound better than ever. Maybe that first era had a bit more raw magic, but now they’ve got this tighter, punchier sound with modern arrangements that actually work. They didn't go and mess everything up like Eldritch did. Plus, the setlist was spot on, hitting most of the old classics. Since it’s their farewell tour, you can tell they’re really giving it their all instead of just going through the motions. Definitely worth checking out.
Fair enough then. See ya... Good luck with the gig.
Morgan, and everyone else: has anyone actually caught Missione live lately? Is it worth the ticket price, or have they totally fallen apart like The Sisters of Mercy?
Stress is really messing with your head right now. Honestly, don't try to force things or go head-to-head with his "issues"—that kind of direct confrontation usually just backfires with guys. Like I’ve mentioned on here before: just throw on some comfy lounge gear, act all relaxed while you're hanging out at the house or whipping up something in the kitchen, and just let things flow naturally.
.... *echinococcus idioticus*. That’s what you caught because you couldn't bring yourself to give up your seat for an old lady on the subway... ... ... ... ... ... ... .. .
Honestly, man, you probably just cracked a rib!!! Seriously, go see a doctor... 🙄
