Is Michael Bay actually a bad director? in Movies ·
Despite whatever criticism he’s faced, the guy delivered Transformers—one of the greatest action movies ever made.
Hot Fuzz (2007) in Movies ·
P.S. Did we miss out on Weaving?

I'm not following you 😁 Could you clarify what you mean?

To be honest, I’ve forgotten some of the details of the movie. I really need to rewatch it just to refresh my memory 🙂
And have a great time doing it again.
The Golden Compass in Movies ·
I haven't picked up the books—and while I’ve heard they lean heavily anti-Christian, that isn't actually why I skipped them, just a side note 🙂—but even the movie left a lot to be desired.

The film failed to convince me that this Magisterium is truly evil or that it needs to be stopped (if you want a recommendation for a real masterpiece, check out my icon 😁). It also didn't do much to explain why separating children from their Daemon is such a horrific act.
As a result, their entire struggle feels silly and pointless.
That said, it's still better than any of those Hairy Pot stories or The Chronicles of Narnia.
Resident Evil: Extinction in Movies ·
Honestly, you guys are overthinking it when you go to see movies like this.
The plot is secondary to the action anyway.
If you're looking for deep plots and heavy drama, go watch Mr. Brooks and leave this stuff alone.

Good grief, it’s like that woman who went to see Batman and then complained about how unrealistic everything was, LOL!
9/11 Conspiracy in Movies ·
No, jet fuel simply doesn't burn hot enough to melt steel, and even when those buildings started coming down, the fires were actually losing intensity.
Even the architect who designed the towers claimed such a collapse was impossible, noting that the structures were specifically engineered to withstand an impact from a massive commercial airliner.
Experts from various universities—metallurgists included—have pointed out that what happened couldn't have occurred the way the official story claims.
I’m with you on the 300 mark. That trailer totally hyped me up, only for the actual movie to leave me feeling completely cold.

It’s the exact same story as the new Star Wars films.

Whether it’s the absolute truth? I can't say for sure.
Is it a more plausible version of events than the official story? Without a doubt.
For me, the standout on this list has to be the one about Starcraft. I’m still holding out hope for the day I finally hear that news—that they’re actually filming a Starcraft film, a series, or even an animated show 😁

Excellent work. This is a must-read.
The Bourne Ultimatum in Movies ·
The movie was solid. My only gripe is that I was hoping Bourne would show a bit more swagger, but instead, he’s just running for his life while everyone loses their minds over him! Out of a two-hour film, there are maybe two scenes where he actually acts like a badass.
Transformers in Movies ·
An absolutely stellar film. You're laughing through half of it, and the other half is pure action bliss featuring the best special effects I've ever seen!
I was actually planning on tenting this year, but then I checked the official website and saw they require you to buy a specific pass just to sleep in the camp $167 (LOL 😠 ), so I decided against it. I have zero interest in dealing with the headache of illegal camping!
Transformers in Movies ·
I am eagerly anticipating this release, and I sincerely hope it turns out to be entertaining (note that I didn't say "super" or "good," just entertaining 🙂 )
Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer in Movies ·
Whoever handled the casting clearly hasn't read a single Fantastic Four comic. Sue Storm is supposed to be a sophisticated woman with a classic Anglo-Saxon look, not some Latina archetype!

It doesn't even matter. They just decided that J. Alba would pull in more teenagers than anyone else. 🙂
Ghost Rider in Movies ·
Sure, but at least the action saves the movie (like in Spawn), or it has decent humor (like Hellboy), or a solid villain (like Daredevil's 😬 Bullet-type guy), but this one has absolutely nothing. It’s pathetic. There are only a handful of movies where I’ve actually regretted spending money on a ticket, and this is definitely one of them.

Personally, X2 is my favorite superhero flick, followed by Batman Begins.
Hot Fuzz (2007) in Movies ·
I just sat through it, and honestly? It’s fantastic and absolutely hilarious. Personally, I think it actually beats Shaun of the Dead.
I just watched Flags of Our Fathers and the film is truly excellent. Unlike Saving Private Ryan, you aren't even rooting for them to defeat the Japanese; instead, you're left thinking, "Who actually needs a war? What the hell is this!!"
Ghost Rider in Movies ·
A terrible movie centered on an even worse hero. Unlike Superman, this guy is invincible and untouchable from the very second he transforms into that hideous CGI monstrosity!
Every single fight and victory serves as nothing more than a repetitive demonstration of our hero's unstoppable power. The most laughable part? His opponents are these ancient demons lurking in the shadows, while he’s just some amateur who happened to stumble into his powers yesterday.
At least Spider-Man fights guys who are beginners just like him; they both make mistakes.
In X-Men, Magneto is seasoned and experienced—you can actually feel that weight in the film.
Here, every single character behaves like a total moron, as if they all walked straight out of the ACME Supervillain Land factory!!!
The Last Scottish King in Movies ·
It seems everyone got the details wrong—or rather, they let several inaccuracies slip in.

SPOILER

The actual version is that Palestinians hijacked the plane and landed it in Uganda (since there’s a scene where Idi Amin calls them good friends), then Amin decided to release all the non-Israelis because the Israelis had conceded to some unmentioned demands.
In the end, it says that the following day, the Israelis launched an attack and freed everyone except for one of their hostages.
Zoolander in Movies ·
What’s the first absolute disaster of a movie you ever saw?

Team USA! It's the only movie I couldn't even finish watching!
