Ugh, is this Waterworld 2.0? 😁 The premise sounds just as ridiculous.

For me, she was easily the weakest link in the movie. Her performance felt incredibly forced, and she just wasn't funny—honestly, she was just plain bad.

Fun movie. Definitely worth the ticket price on a Wednesday night. 😁
I just wanted to point out that the two forums I’m mentioning are polar opposites, yet both are superior to this place.
On one, the rules are incredibly strict. However, you won't run into a moderator like Deckard who kicks off these kinds of debates only to play judge and jury afterward. They know their regulations inside and out, and even the smallest slip-up gets flagged, but the moderators are consistent and professional. That site ranks around 1,300 on the most visited websites globally (whereas this forum sits at 14,382), so they actually have much more to manage over there.

The other site practically has no moderation at all, unless something violates USA laws or a thread needs moving to a different sub-forum. People troll each other constantly, but nobody takes it personally—it's just part of the culture. Discussions there are generally twice as good as anything found on this forum, even if the language gets a bit colorful sometimes. You never have to worry about some random moderator censoring you just because they're having a bad day. It has fewer visitors due to its specific quirks and its focus on niche topics, placing it at roughly 57,000 in the rankings.

Both sites excel in their own way. Every time I find myself back here, I honestly just feel depressed.
Fine, just DM me my original text back and I’ll repost it once the section about the moderation is stripped out.

That still doesn't explain how he started cornering people, calling them "sonny" or whatever, or making those ridiculous threats involving disciplinary actions. Deleting my post felt like a massive overreach on my part, especially when it was blindingly obvious he had simply lost control of his emotions.
So, he scrubbed the mention of the moderation team, but what would have happened if he hadn't? Would it just be deleted, or would I have been banned entirely?
On legitimate forums, actual moderators strip out the part about the staff and leave the rest intact. If the issue was strictly limited to what was inside those parentheses, then just cut that bit out and restore my post—just like you do for everyone else whose posts get edited to remove specific violations.

It’s exactly because of these ridiculous standards that I’ve found myself writing less and less here over the years. This forum has become a total joke compared to several international sites I've come across. Much like how this entire country has become a joke.

Moderator in question: briskhound2

He kicked off a discussion on that thread, and once things didn't go his way, he lost it. He started handing out bans, insulting users, and threatening to abuse his moderator powers by deleting posts (from several different users).

I am requesting that some of those deleted posts be restored and that the moderator be formally warned: if he wants to act like just another user, he cannot abuse his administrative privileges.

(Just to be clear, one of my own posts that was deleted and banned isn't the reason I'm starting this; as you can see, I'm not asking for my ban to be lifted)

Sophia Thomas7 said:Fair enough, I’m right there with you. A few days ago, I decided to marathon all the Underworld movies and the Resident Evil series. Honestly, they actually feel worse when you binge them back-to-back.

😬

Why on earth would you subject yourself to watching those old sequels?
😵😵
RE1 was solid. Underworld 1 was alright. Everything after that was pretty much a disaster. At some point, I just gave up on Resident Evil entirely; I think RE3 was the last one I actually sat through.

Basically, D2T distribution is my whole vibe 😁

Give the Director's cut a chance; it might actually surprise you. 😉 Those extra scenes really round out the narrative.
It wasn't until I finished the series that I realized just how bad the movie actually was.

I watched that DC version. It’s the exact same garbage as the original.
I had a completely different take on this. The fight choreography keeps evolving, and the madness just ramps up. Sharlto Copley was phenomenal—he really broke away from his usual typecasting here. There were plenty of laughs, though most of them were born out of sheer violence. In fact, there was so much carnage that some of the scenes actually became hilarious (like that dog dragging its owner’s severed hand...)
This movie is pure, unadulterated fun! For me, it’s basically Dredd in 3D for 2016. You go in with modest expectations and end up getting hit with a hardcore action flick that breaks every rule in the book. It's unlike anything else out there and damn entertaining!

Michael Johnson5 said:I'm not totally sure, but they made Shere Khan look absolutely terrifying! There are a couple of scenes with him where he takes out a wolf—it doesn't show everything explicitly, but the vibe is definitely darker. It doesn't feel like just some kid's movie; they actually went for a much more serious tone.

Fair enough. Thanks for the heads-up. I think I'll hold off until the digital release hits and give it a watch then. 😁

She survived the last Tarzan cartoon where his gorilla mother dies within the first 20 minutes...
Is it actually darker than that?

I’d love to take my little girl to see this, but she hasn't quite mastered reading yet. 😁
Does anyone know if there's a dubbed version available somewhere?

Too much. I'd personally go with Viggo Mortensen.
EDIT: Actually, Viggo is only one year younger, but I think he looks even younger physically.

If they actually stick to the books, they could have a seriously great series on their hands. 👋

It’s based on the book, though they did mention it wouldn't be a direct adaptation.

Hey there. Finding the right actor to play Geralt is going to be absolutely critical here. We need someone who carries an immense amount of charisma.

This is actually great news, considering that "game" was essentially just an interactive movie anyway.

I just finished watching the whole thing—absolute genius. That segment where he goes up against the Nazi in 2D was particularly brilliant. 😁
