They didn't go into exhaustive detail, but it was worth noting how they clarified what the world would look like if we had to rely on Edison's power plants every mile or so. Such a distribution system would be insanely expensive; essentially, only major cities could afford such a "luxury."
As for Tesla's obsession with pigeons, that’s widely known territory—it pops up in almost every biography I've read about him. That wasn't what ruined him, though it is true he passed away sad, confused, lonely, and broke. 👎
Oh, it already exists. PDF: Politics -> Near Politics -> topic. 🤦

It covers the "War of Currents," Tesla, and his various inventions. It’s about an hour long, but definitely worth a watch.
If only Hollywood could make movies as good as this documentary. 🙂
Edward Sanders70 said:Rumors about this movie being filmed keep resurfacing, and frankly, I'm getting a bit worried given how detailed the article was. I hope they make a biopic about Tesla, but I just pray it isn't some low-budget production from Eastern Europe; otherwise, we're looking at two and a half hours of petty political bickering where even 🙂
wouldn't help. I think Christian Bale would be incredible, but I have absolutely no clue what Megan Fox is supposed to do in this movie. 😕

Character backstories, racial dynamics, the history of the wars, the fallout from the protagonist's choices—I find it highly doubtful...

Matthew Anderson said:I just hope they don't do a "great" job like they did with I Am Legend. 😁

In this film, it’s practically one American soldier taking down twenty Nazis, whereas in the actual war, the ratio was closer to thirty Americans for every one Nazi. That was my only real gripe—it feels like Hollywood always tries to flip the script when depicting real conflicts where they didn't come out on top, almost as if it's driven by some sort of collective frustration. The whole point of the story felt lost to me once I realized the entire thing just revolved around tallying up how many Nazis an American soldier could kill on screen; the narrative essentially devolved into a cheap scoreboard. It felt rather pointless.
It honestly tanked the quality of the film for me. I felt more of this sense of American resentment and obsession than any connection to the comic or the artistry of filmmaking itself. Sometimes, regardless of how great an American movie might be, you can tell it's just radiating desperation. You see the same thing today with modern war-themed PC games.
William Lee34 said:Decent enough, though it doesn't quite reach the heights of X-Men.
Richard Barrett53 said:I suppose it really depends on the specific film, as some manage to pull off 3D quite well, though generally speaking, you probably have a point.
Hannah Green2 said:I have only ever read a single comic featuring him, and frankly, I can't recall any of the details. Could someone please clarify who Captain America actually is, and explain the circumstances behind how he became a superhero?
I find the concept of the setting being rooted in the past quite compelling.

Take a movie like Monterey, for instance. It makes perfect sense in 3D because it's pure trash where sharks and cleavage are constantly popping out at you from the screen. That’s the whole point of 3D—it's just a cheap gimmick for kids and teenagers.
