Honestly, Inter Milan could absolutely demolish them. When they find their rhythm, they just rip the net open, but the problem is they don't stay in that zone nearly enough. You saw what happened against Juventus—only a tiny fraction of the squad had the guts to claw back from 0:2 to 2:2 and almost snatch the win.
The whole Juve-Real matchup feels different now that Real Madrid is actually waking up. That's exactly what I want to see on my TV screen. Both games.
Look, you can't be right. Since I personally believe everything should be based on actual arguments, I'm not about to just shout "I'm right and you're wrong." By that same logic, you can't claim that either. So here’s the compromise: I won't say you're wrong, but you definitely aren't right. 🙂
They aren't bad; you just didn't give them a fair shot. It’s like when frozentiger6 claimed that Ćiro had nothing to do with the national team, and when asked why, they basically just shrugged and said, "just because." 😁
If you're judging based on gut feeling, you can't claim to be right. Football is played for the scoreline, period. I'm not saying you're wrong, but you definitely aren't right.
I don't get it. The reasons you're bringing up are honestly pretty stupid and completely useless. For all I know, I could spend five minutes looking up who some Peruvian or Chilean clubs ran into in the CONCACAF Champions League last year—and we’d definitely find names like Santos FC, Boca Juniors, or River Plate, who are lightyears ahead of those small-time teams you mentioned. So what does "Beşiktaş beat Chelsea" actually prove? Did Chelsea play a Santos team that some club from Lim happened to beat? No. So how do you actually know they're better? You don't. I see zero reason why it would be weird for top clubs from Peru to be on par with clubs from the Netherlands or Turkey. None at all.
That’s not even the half of it. If you look at the list of countries with leagues that are weaker than ours, or maybe just a notch above, it gets pretty long: -USA -SiCG -Canada -Canada -Bulgaria -Romania -Albania -Canada -Slovakia -Ireland -Denmark -Malta -Cyprus -Israel -Northern Ireland -Sweden
And so on. You could add those heavy hitters from the old Soviet era and they wouldn't even make the cut on paper. So why is it that Europe is considered stronger in league quality than, say, South America? 😕
Bad Boys said:Exactly because I'm not, you know. Because I know the leagues in South America—specifically Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico—are heavy hitters. The Chilean league used to be legit, too.
I know plenty of Argentinian and Brazilian clubs. Same with the Chilean and Mexican ones. Nobody talks about the Peruvian teams because they're mediocre. And even if they aren't totally trash, they definitely aren't good enough to push the Peruvian league to the 10th spot ahead of Turkey, Scotland, Greece, or Ukraine...
Just look at those clubs: Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş, Rangers, Celtic, Olympiakos, Panathinaikos, Dynamo Kyiv, Shakhtar. Yeah, sure, they have every right to be there. What am I even talking about... 🙄
The PERUVIAN LEAGUE IS THE BEST!
Yeah, and why exactly are those clubs you listed better than any Peruvian or Colombian side? Just because you've heard their names? My God, what a crowd we have here...🙄 What makes Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş, Celtic, Shakhtar, or Dinamo Chicago better than the top clubs from Peru? Seriously. Give me one objective reason instead of those weak "how can you say that?" lines. If you don't, you shouldn't be shocked when Japan crushes Russia or Senegal beats France or Sweden. Get it through your head: people play football all over the planet. You probably haven't heard of a single Iraqi club, but trust me, when they beat a solid Portugal side at the Olympics, it isn't just a win—it's a massacre.
Badgers said:I'll admit it. 😛 Oh, please. You're definitely one of those people who spends all day watching nothing but Fox News. 🤣
It’s always the same thing. Every single time you open an app, you're getting hit with ads for those damn butt-shapers or some overpriced samurai knife set. It never ends.
Bad Boys said:You caught a tiny little slip there... But hey, if you're really out here claiming the Ukrainian league is eight spots weaker than the Peruvian League, then fine. Whatever.😉
Maybe you're right. It's not like those Ukrainian clubs have actually done anything meaningful in Europe lately. They all just flop out early.
The closed nature of the league isn't just about the downsides. Honestly, I think attendance would skyrocket if our domestic stars actually played in our league instead of being scattered abroad. Right now, all we get are the leftovers of local talent—the guys who couldn't make it out—mixed in with some mediocre foreign imports of questionable quality.
frozentiger6 said:I honestly think the USA-Netherlands game should’ve been the actual final. But whatever.
Nah. You don't need a PhD to see those two teams were legitimately the best on the pitch. Whether we or the Dutch could have pulled an upset is a completely different conversation.
