You know, Melissa Gonzalez9, it seems like more and more restaurants and bars over in London are switching to completely smoke-free environments...
Basically, after they ran some test periods—maybe just a few months or so—to see how things would shake out, they realized their profits actually went up once they banned smoking entirely. So, that theory of yours about smokers spending more money just doesn't really hold water...
Maybe the reason those designated non-smoking sections in our local spots seem so empty is simply because people don't want someone at the next table ruining their meal with a cloud of cigarette smoke right in their face...😉

Some smokers really do try to be considerate, but in my experience, most of them just don't care at all.
One of my closest girlfriends actually stopped coming over to my place because she isn't allowed to smoke in my apartment. 🙄
I mean, honestly... first she asked if she could just do it "by the window"... so I told her, sure, go ahead, but damn, you could still smell the smoke everywhere... because she’d lean out the window one second and then pull back inside the next.
Then I had to tell her, "Look, don't even bother with the window because the smell still lingers," and then she decided she just wouldn't visit anymore since she couldn't step outside to grab a light. It was just so...🙄
And then she had the nerve to lecture me about how one single cigarette isn't going to hurt anyone.
I just told her, "Sorry, girl, if you can't respect my non-smoking rule in my own home, then you don't need to come over." Honestly, who cares...
I certainly don't ask her to stop smoking when I'm hanging out at her place.
Also, Melissa Gonzalez9, it's just not true that the smoke just vanishes into thin air... I can't tell you how many times I've walked past someone or been behind them... just a few feet away and I can still catch the stench of their cigarette. 👎

And just one more thing, when she’s getting high on cocaine, she’s doing that to herself, not to you. You aren't the one at risk from her snorting lines... she's the one facing the consequences of your smoking instead.

The movie is just pure tongue-in-cheek fun... there isn't any deep philosophy to unpack, but man, the execution is just spot on...

Oh, come on, guys, please! I’ve had my navel pierced for like 9 or 10 years now, and I have never dealt with any infections or issues at all...
When I actually got it done, the piercer just applied a little local numbing agent to the area, and the whole piercing process was over in a literal second.
You don't even feel it.
It might be a bit sore afterward because the healing process is pretty slow, but as long as you follow the aftercare instructions they give you at the studio, you won't end up with an infection.
And honestly, what is all this nonsense about not sleeping on your stomach? I went right back to sleeping on my belly immediately... and nothing ever snagged or got irritated.
I mean... as long as you aren't being aggressive and pulling on it, it shouldn't rip out or anything.
For cleaning, my piercer gave me a specific solution that I had to use to rinse my navel twice a day. If they don't provide anything, a simple saline solution works wonders... just rinse it a bit until it heals up and you're good to go.
It is true that it heals soooo incredibly slowly, but it doesn't get infected.
It took me about six months to fully heal.
During those first six months, you really shouldn't be swapping out your jewelry, though you can definitely change it later on. I swap mine out all the time now. 😁
The indentation is so tiny that there's really no reason to worry about ending up with some massive hole in your stomach. Plus, if you decide to take the piercing out, the little divot eventually closes up and leaves behind just a tiny little scar.

Oh man, seriously...
Since I missed the theatrical run, I just went ahead and rented it on pay-per-view, and honestly, what a total waste of money.
I only picked it up because I was bored, but halfway through, I realized I was actually becoming even more bored than before, which is saying something at 3 PM.
I couldn't even sit there and finish it, so I ended up getting up and moving to my computer just to keep an eye on it out of the corner of my eye... Seriously!!! Avoid this one at all costs if you can. If you haven't seen it yet, please do yourself a favor and just skip it. 👎

Wait, are you seriously suggesting everyone in the movie is just playing themselves? They kept their own names for the sake of the production, sure, but they aren't actually portraying themselves—the whole story is just loosely based on the Columbine High School massacre.
I mean... if that were true, how would the killers be playing themselves? 😁 😉
Personally, I absolutely love that sense of suspense and pure anxiety that van Sant creates using those long, drawn-out takes. It’s like... you're just sitting there in your chair, fidgeting, feeling like you're walking on pins and needles waiting for something to happen... and the shot just keeps going and going...

Or even that moment when that Black guy starts his protagonist walk... and you're sitting there thinking, "Okay, here comes the dialogue, or some big action sequence, or something..." and then nothing. Nish, he just gets killed... while the entire shot is framed as if we're about to witness some massive plot twist in the movie. Honestly, it was just fantastic...

This might actually surprise you, but I’m pretty much against bans too, in principle! The reason nickname didn't get banned wasn't because everyone was begging for it, but rather because I personally decided she just needed a little "cooling off" period for about a week...
