I had such a blast watching this movie! Honestly, I don't regret spending nearly three hours on it at all... I totally agree that Johnny Depp is absolutely phenomenal as Captain Jack Sparrow. And let me tell you, Orlando Bloom is just breathtaking, and for anyone who thinks an English Rose is anything less than stunning, they clearly haven't seen Keira Knightley.👍
vividwalker7 said:The American national team jersey might be the only thing we're truly known for abroad. And honestly, it’s not just okay, it’s actually gorgeous, especially that blue one... though the quality of the fabric is definitely a topic worth debating! I tried wearing mine once, but I think I'll stick to my regular clothes from now on, especially since it took Ivica Olić about ten minutes just to figure out which way was up while he was wearing it 😁
Oh, come on now, we're really only iconic because of those red, white, and blue stripes... but I honestly don't get why they feel the need to cram a thousand different colors and crazy patterns into those stripes every single time! Wouldn't it be so much cleaner if we just stuck to the classic stripes, or maybe just a small striped detail on a solid color shirt instead of all this chaos?
If things were handled properly, all the female fans in the stands would show up looking just like the Brazilian women do.
Well, I certainly wouldn't mind that! I actually had the chance to celebrate a big win here alongside some Brazilians, and their fans were either rocking tiny bikinis in their national colors—just the tops paired with denim—or wearing those specific jerseys I mentioned earlier... But seriously, why doesn't the American team have a dedicated jersey line for the female fans??? Why, oh why?????? If they ever hired me as their lead designer, I promise you everything would look absolutely stunning and everyone would be totally satisfied... 😁
Well... let me just say... soccer jerseys aren't exactly hitting the peak of fashion these days... For instance... the USA National Team kit is honestly just tragic. I mean, seriously, who is actually picking out these colors and patterns??? I don't know about you all, but looking at our jersey for more than sixty seconds gives me a massive headache... And don't even get me started on that synthetic fabric they use. Gross! 👎 There is absolutely no way you won't start smelling like sweat after just two minutes of wearing it. It's terrible. Also, why on earth aren't there women's versions... like... the exact same colors and everything, but slim-fit, cropped at the waist (to show off some skin), and made from actual natural fabrics? If they did that... then maybe I'd actually wear a jersey, but like this... no way. By the way... the absolute best jersey has to be the one from the Brazil National Team... though it is a bit tricky if your skin tone is a little dull or pale because those bright colors just won't suit you. Ha ha.... 😁
Thank Jesus we’ve finally moved away from all that tedious metal and alternative stuff for a bit. I feel like I try to shake things up on this forum every single time by starting threads about Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera, or some cheesy pop hits, but nobody ever bites...😉 😁 Anyway, back to 50 Cent... he's alright, but there are definitely better out there. The only thing is... I just can't wrap my head around how anyone could group that clown Sean Paul in the same conversation as 50 Cent. Sean Paul is just...🙂
And what made you decide to start a thread about The Beach right now? I mean, that movie is practically as old as the Bible... But yeah, it’s actually a really great film... I still love it... BTW, I actually visited the island where they filmed it before the movie even hit theaters... back then, it truly felt like paradise on Earth... I swung by again this year, but honestly, it was just totally overrun with tourists, and the prices have shot up so much it's actually getting ridiculous...
Dennis Lopez3, I’m starting to wonder if you skipped it just because the teaser or those commercials gave you a bad vibe or something... And hey, that’s totally fine, we all do it sometimes... But maybe don't come back and bash the whole movie just because you weren't a fan of the behind-the-scenes clips or the actors' interviews, especially if you're going to claim that Moulin Rouge is better... Those little snippets can be super misleading, and honestly, what the actors say in promos doesn't mean a thing compared to the actual finished film... For example, I’ve just never really been able to get into Catherine Zeta-Jones... she’s just not my cup of tea as an actress or anything else, really... But even so, she was absolutely stunning in that movie... I almost didn't even watch it at first just because she was in the cast...
But how can you possibly know what works or doesn't when you haven't even seen the movie yet??? 🙄 It would be so much better if people who love jumping in to criticize films actually sat down and watched them first before they start swinging, instead of doing this...🙄
Both the actress and the actor are absolutely phenomenal. When he starts talking with that signature, incredibly sultry and provocative voice of his... and she’s basically telling him to... I don't even know... just shred all those documents... it is honestly just brilliant! I was truly swept away by it all... My only real gripe is the very end... during those final five or ten minutes where it felt like... well, it dragged on just a little bit too long for my liking, but oh well...
Hmm... I don't know about all of this... to me, the whole movie just felt so intensely erotic and charged... It was actually pretty cool... and they didn't even have to rely on those typical, cliché sexual scenes (I mean... they show things, sure... but it's more of a dark, sadistic vibe rather than being sexual in the conventional sense, if you know what I mean)...
Has anyone else had a chance to catch this yet? I honestly thought the movie was such a blast... James Spader and Maggie Gyllenhaal are both absolutely phenomenal in their roles here. My only real gripe is that the ending felt a little bit... well, kind of underwhelming...
Hey, come on guys, let's not start a whole new thread about pills every five days... they're all right there in the archives if you just take a little bit of time to look through them... I'm going to leave this specific topic up for now, but in the future, please try to do a little digging first...
Hehe, I see what you mean... I actually went through the exact same thing where I watched both the musical and the movie, and honestly, I was so hooked right after the credits rolled that I immediately went out and grabbed the soundtrack on CD. It’s just so incredibly good...
squirrel said:Does anyone happen to know the title of that last song from the movie, the one they perform as a duet during the finale... if anyone knows?😕
I honestly thought the movie was so good! I just finished watching it, and my roommate and I were both so caught up in the vibe that we actually ended up playing X-Men on our way home... 😁
Are you guys seriously talking about Final Destination 2? I honestly don't get how anyone can praise this absolute wreck... the first movie was actually pretty clever and felt like something fresh, but this sequel is just an eyesore to God... 👎
I’m totally on board with what Pale was saying earlier. There really isn't much missing from the picture here. Plus... we actually get those special screenings before a movie officially opens, and we even have test screenings that go out a few months before the big world premiere. In fact, I remember going to see "The Sixth Sense" about two or three months before it actually hit theaters everywhere. 🙂
