Now, please—don't come for me just yet. I’m not talking about fetishes here; this is just an observation I've made. 👍
From what I can see with medical students, a lot of them act like they're some kind of superior species—which explains why so many grow up to have such massive egos. They're completely delusional. I've actually met people like that personally, not to mention how everyone immediately jumps to say, "Oh, my friend is in med school, it's definitely the hardest major out there." Isn't that a little insulting to everyone else? To suggest that medicine is the absolute peak of difficulty? Don't get me wrong, med school is grueling, but you can't just claim it's the hardest. In my opinion, an Electrical Engineering degree is way more intense—not to mention Math, Physics, or even Pharmacy...
And don't even get me started on the people who enroll in medical school just because they want that "Dr." title attached to their name. People love to preach that medicine is the most noble science, but doctors aren't always noble—honestly, quite a few are incredibly arrogant. Take the psychiatrist I saw recently: she couldn't even grasp that I was dealing with depression. She kept making these subtle digs at me under the guise of being "polite," and then, once I was actually feeling great, she had the nerve to tell me I still needed therapy. It feels like they just want the money; as if having $83 a week isn't enough for her. ☕ On top of that, she holds us for 45 minutes for $83. What can you even discuss in 45 minutes? It takes 15 minutes just to get settled in the chair. 🤷
They claim to heal people, but it breaks my heart when they refuse to take someone with a tumor simply because the patient is poor and can't afford the bill. That's when you see the true character of certain doctors.
Please, spare me the inappropriate comments. I am genuinely curious to hear your thoughts on what I've written here.

Are you a moderator? When can I actually apply for that?
So, I sent it over, but honestly, it’s just crickets—not a single response from anyone. And then you have those weirdos hitting me up in my DMs, as if they have absolutely nothing better to do with their lives than sit around tapping away at a screen all day. I guess responding is just too much work for them. 🤷
Look, it’s fine, but every single time I shoot an email over to that address, I get absolutely nothing back—though, to be fair, I was asking about something else entirely last time, maybe they'll actually bother to reply if I just label the subject line "username change"?? 🤷
I was wondering if it might be possible to change my username—you know, my nickname here on the forum? If so, who exactly should I be reaching out to about this?
Aaron Anderson72 said:Look, silverraven7, I’m not saying hate is some kind of virtue. 😁 No matter how much you drone on about those "heartfelt" sentiments, the reality remains—people inflict cruelty on one another day in and day out.
Maybe we see so much confusion because of how we define the word "hate." In my view, it’s functionally identical to wishing ill upon someone... plain and simple. When you actively wish for someone to suffer, you hate them. And all those kids who bully their peers? They aren't just following a crowd; they genuinely get a kick out of seeing someone else in pain. Like Donna Wood52 mentioned... besides, I can't think of many cases where kids pick on a child just because they're unattractive. It's more than that—they feel this deep-seated malice toward them and find joy in the suffering. This isn't merely about group identity—if it were just about fitting in, they wouldn't feel that internal surge of satisfaction from causing harm.
I couldn't agree more! 👍
Doing evil and feeling hate are one and the same.
If you're the straight-A student, you're the target; if you're failing miserably or hitting rock bottom, then they label you a pariah and tear you down. If you're the quiet type, you're bullied; if you have lower social standing, then you're stuck at the bottom of the food chain. If you drive a Mercedes or come from money, they'll always manufacture some excuse to claim it was unearned; if you're unattractive but actually a decent person, the harassment starts immediately... and honestly, the list goes on forever.
kor-im said:it isn't about hate—it’s just pure group catharsis it builds that sense of belonging, participation, friendship, and identity; it vents stress, and honestly, kids just find it fun and comfortable
if there weren't a structured system of control and certain authorities they fear, those few individuals who pick someone to target based on group dynamics would be doing much worse things
so, it’s not that they actually hate the person—even if that person probably hates them as much as humanly possible
I couldn't agree more! People can be incredibly corrupt—I know that from firsthand experience. I was mentally bullied in my class back in school because I was extremely introverted, and then they eventually branded me as some "killer psycho" just because my teacher let it slip that I was on antidepressants.
Now, I’m not sure if that stems from malice or just deep-seated insecurity? 🤷 But it feels foolish to say everyone is evil—there are good people out there—but it is certainly true that there are more malicious ones than not.
You see this exact thing happening even on this forum, where a group will dogpile or spit on someone simply because they spoke the truth or dared to be different. 😉

Then again—and I’m just thinking out loud here—maybe they weren't exactly saints to them before either. It’s possible finding a boyfriend was just a convenient way for them to feel better about themselves. 🤷
I’m sure most of you have been through this exact thing—a friend lands a new boyfriend and suddenly, she just... vanishes. You send her a text, maybe an invite, and nothing. Just radio silence.
What’s your take on this phenomenon? Personally, I find it pretty fascinating—if a bit irritating.
I wonder what the psychologists would say about the mechanics behind it.
Look, I’m just not photogenic. So what if I’m being dishonest about it? It's not a crime.
And besides—what are you actually going to do with a photo of me? Develop a sudden distaste for my existence or something? 😁 I certainly am not about to dump my personal info and a picture of my face right here in front of everyone. If you're so eager to see it, why don't you go ahead and post yours first? ☕
hasnfefer said:Well, since I haven't managed to find myself a girlfriend since yesterday, why don't you just hand over her number? It doesn't bother me one bit that I don't have anything to brag about!
Why on earth do you think you have nothing going for you? Is it an issue of looks? Really? Every single person has inherent value—it’s just a matter of finding where that lies within oneself. And if I recall correctly—and please correct me if I'm wrong—you mentioned you're financially stable, which means fewer headaches, plus you have a boyfriend... there's clearly something about you that someone loves...
I have a boyfriend, sure, but I don't feel a thing for him. My actual obsession is doctors—they're the only ones who tell me I'm hot and they never insult me. One of them actually told me I have beautiful, thick black hair and a great ass. 🙂
I never actually said she was empty-headed—all I said was that she’s attractive, and honestly, even she admitted to being smart. And for the record, I’m not the one who went on about beauty being fleeting.
And where exactly am I making fun of her? We actually get along quite well, for what it's worth. 🤷 I’m just saying—she clearly wants to be more like her. I know it isn't easy for her to go to therapy, but at least she has the looks.
I know she's brilliant, and people tell me I'm smart too since I'm always buried in a book—but then again, I don't have a college degree.
I know she isn't exactly thrilled about the idea of going to therapy—some people just aren't—but let's be real, she's got the looks, whereas I have absolutely nothing to show for it. Nobody's looking my way.😢
Look, I wasn't out there dragging her name through the mud—I'm just stating the obvious: she’s got it much better going than I do. She actually has decent looks, whereas I... well, let's just say I'm not exactly winning any beauty pageants. 🤷
And honestly, why are you even questioning why I started this thread in the first place??
ironpuma78 said:So, didn't melpy say not that we aren't talking about some imaginary airhead here?
And what if she doesn't have a fancy degree, a husband, or a boyfriend? Does that mean she has nothing going for her besides being attractive? Since when did those become the only criteria? Clearly, she’s got substance and heart if she actually recognizes her issues and wants to fix them—which is why she’s going to group therapy, I assume. That shows more character than most "successful" people with Ivy League degrees ever possess.
Looking at how the women on this thread are reacting, it’s pretty obvious who is actually beautiful and who is just living in the shadows, bitter and waiting for her looks to fade so she can finally feel superior. Then they'll all start showing their true colors... pathetic. 👎
Yes, I did say she isn't delusional.
Look, I don't have a college degree, and I probably won't ever have a husband... so all I have left is to take care of myself and maintain my appearance. 🤷
It's the same with her; she's smart and has plenty of sense, yet nowadays society acts like you're somehow incomplete if you don't have a family and a diploma. 😕 I don't see it that way, but then again, most people do.
I’m not jealous. 🙂 It’s just—I honestly can’t wrap my head around why someone that stunning would even bother seeing a psychiatrist.
Peter Phillips32, are you actually offended that I have a thing for doctors? 😁 Because let’s be real—the men on this forum haven't exactly been welcoming ever since I admitted to my little fetish.
I’m struggling to find the right headline for this, but let me try to lay it out. I know this woman—maybe she’s 28, I don't know exactly—and look, she is stunning. I don't mean just "conventionally attractive," I mean truly, head-turning gorgeous. She has the kind of curves people dream about and a face straight off a Vogue cover. But—and this is the part where the story hits a wall—that is quite literally all she has. No boyfriend, let alone a husband; no college degree... basically, she lacks everything that modern American society tells a young person they "should" have to be considered successful. Yet, everywhere she goes, men are practically tripping over themselves to get her attention. I'm not sure if you see what I'm getting at here.
I met her during a group therapy session we were attending. It was one of those settings where everyone seems to be competing over their accomplishments—this guy was bragging about his career, that woman about her kids, another person about their grad school progress—and then there was her. When it was her turn to sit, she just let her thick hair down and crossed those long, beautiful legs. That was it. 😁
So, the question is: is someone like that actually happy? On one hand, looking that good has to count for something—men certainly notice—and I wouldn't call her stupid, either. She’s actually quite serious, and whenever we had these sessions, she’d offer some genuinely insightful advice. She isn't some vapid, self-absorbed airhead, despite appearances.
What I'm curious about is whether any of you have ever encountered someone like this—someone who possesses nothing to show for themselves except an incredible physical appearance?
