Douglas Taylor2 said:Good grief... six pregnancies?!!? 😁 And here I am, thinking people struggle enough with just one 😁 Hats off to women. Seriously, massive respect! 🤣

🤣🤣🤣

See, that’s the thing. Everyone’s losing their minds over a single pregnancy. I had three kids, and three didn't make it. Now? I’m just sitting here babysitting the neighbor’s three-and-a-half-year-old.

Anyone else need some advice? 😁 ☕
Douglas Taylor2 said:rapidrider3, you really nailed this one 😁 ahahahaha
AP Cap, everything's been said, just let me know...😉

And look, what can I even tell you? I had six pregnancies under my belt when I finally finished school around that time. 🤣🤣
irondrifter7 said:My period is 26 days late. I've been noticing some minor symptoms that align with what's being discussed here—for instance, certain foods suddenly smell revolting to me, or I simply can't imagine getting them down. I've also had some lower back pain, headaches, fatigue, and increased discharge. Nothing feels particularly intense, though I suppose it is all slightly more pronounced than usual.
On the other hand, I still smoke and haven't noticed any issues with cigarettes. Alcohol doesn't seem to bother me either, and I haven't experienced frequent urination.
Could someone with more experience in these matters please offer some advice? It would be greatly appreciated.
I should clarify that I am young, and this potential pregnancy is entirely unplanned.

Thanks in advance.

First piece of advice from the group: go buy a test!!!

They're like five bucks at CVS or Walgreens; don't waste your money on those overpriced specialty ones. Just grab one today and take it. Usually, you want to use your first morning pee, but since you're this far behind, it'll show up whenever.

Take the test, then come back and let us know how it went. (And if it's positive, the alcohol and cigarettes have gotta go 😁)
Douglas Taylor2 said:I should be getting my period in about ten days, but I honestly don't feel like waiting around. I guess I'm not quite sure how realistic it is to expect to gain a couple of pounds and have that little bloat by March 30th, which was when my last one showed up. Also, what’s the deal with the ovulation spotting? When I did a test about a year ago, I used a urine cup, and most of them seem pretty much the same to me...

Same here, fellow mom-to-be. I spent the entire morning wrestling with my own thoughts, basically doing homework for a first-grade class. 🤣

Looking at everything you wrote... it’s way too early for a test. You’re better off waiting until around April 28th or 30th. If you’re wondering if you might already be pregnant from last month, well, there are women out there who still get their periods for three months straight while being pregnant, even if those cycles seem regular.

If you’re suspicious, either take a test now or just hold out until the end of the month.

As far as this month goes, there is absolutely no way you could feel a pregnancy bloat or a bump right now. Not a chance. With a first pregnancy, most people don't start showing until after the second month. In my case, I didn't see anything until I was about four months along.

With subsequent pregnancies, it happens sooner, but still, you aren't seeing anything before that second month hits.
Douglas Taylor2 said:Just thought I’d chime in and let you all know 😁 I’ve been reading through everything here and searching for... well, just some things 😁 to confirm for myself. My period isn't technically late yet, but I’ve been feeling incredibly strange lately. My stomach feels a bit larger than usual, and I’m feeling so sleepy—even though I’ve been waking up early 😁—but overall, I just have this certain feeling about things. It’s possible there might be a baby on the way, since we weren't exactly being super careful a few times. 🙂 My last period came in normally, though it didn't hurt nearly as much as it usually does, if that makes sense. I also know quite a few people who had their period during pregnancy. Plus, I've been having this brownish discharge for the last couple of days, and I see from your comments that many of you have dealt with that too. I guess I'm wondering how reliable that sign actually is? Anyway, my stomach is bothering me a little; I work an office job so I spend a lot of time sitting down, and it just feels... sort of off, like a really weird sensation 😁 So, I’ll probably pick up a test today and then I'll let you guys know what happens

So, when are you actually supposed to get your period? And regardless, take the test first thing in the morning.

One more thing... I read that some people get negative results. I don't know how they're doing it, but I always pour the urine into a small cup first, then dip the stick or strip in as deep as it goes for about thirty seconds, and it always gives a clear reading.

I usually just use the GraviGnost mini test. It's cheap, around $12 and it works fine.

Congrats, girl! 😘

How late were you when they gave you the news? 😉

My due date is April 30th—so exactly a week from now if things don't happen sooner, obviously 😉 and I'm wondering if you can actually see anything on the scan yet. My last period was March 5th.

If you're pregnant, you're already in your 7th week, though the ultrasound will probably show you at 8 weeks. You should be able to see a tiny little baby and the heartbeat by then.
Your due date would be right around December 12th.

And I'm crossing my fingers that what she wrote turns out to be true.

There’s also this little trick... you just head over to your profile, click on statistics, and boom, it spits this out at you:

Everything is right there in one spot. You can jump straight into any thread you want from there. Why make it harder than it needs to be?
steelcrane12 said:I think someone mentioned earlier that this happens because of some specific, rare kinds of cysts.🤷

Specialized and rare? Please. You've got simple water-filled cysts, and then you've got the ones filled with, I don't know, blood? Most of them are just fluid-filled sacs that either burst on their own or require you to go in for some kind of drainage or laparoscopic surgery—something like that.

Then there's PCOS, but that’s a whole different headache altogether.
Let's not get too far off-topic here.
dustyraven33 said:I read right on the pregnancy test instructions that cysts can cause a false positive.

Look, I dealt with huge cysts for years—massive ones, actually—and my tests were always accurate. Either they showed a negative or they showed a positive, but they weren't lying to me.
Cysts might mess with the baby, or so my doctor told me during my last pregnancy, but that's about it.

Look, you can tell just by glancing at those little icons next to the thread title or even the font color. If the blue is dark and looks bolded, there’s a new message waiting for you. If it’s all pale and thin? Nothing new.

And if you actually want to see what's going on, I guess you'd have to go ahead and scroll through the thread itself...

Alex Cook said:Oh, so you're one of those people who sucks up to the mods, huh? The guy was just asking about the rules for the around-the-world drill. No need to play dumb here.

How did you even guess? I'm already a global moderator, so there’s really no point in me playing nice for favors. 😛
To answer Ronald Baker16, you start on the right side (or live, whatever) of the rocket, at the spot closest to the baseline, and move one position over until you hit the free throw line. Then you move up to the top of the key (those dashed semi-circles in front of the free throw line), then to the free throw line itself, then to the three-point line. After that, you go in reverse order back the other way. Once you get under the hoop, you've gotta sink one right-handed layup and one left-handed layup. At least, that's how we used to run it back in my hometown.🤷

And since he asked what kind of drill it is... in two words: I have no clue what he was actually trying to ask.
An around-the-world road??🤷
amberorca2 said:Actually, uncertainty isn't even the worst part. The real kicker is seeing that negative or just staring at a blank strip when nothing shows up. 😢 😢 😢

I am so done with these tests, seriously. My nerves are shot. And then to top it all off, I just found out my job situation isn't nearly as great as I thought it was, which is weirdly a relief because this is the last time I want to be switching careers, especially if I'm actually about to go on maternity leave 🤷 though, if I'm being totally real, I don't even believe I could be pregnant. It feels impossible 😢 and it just sucks getting my hopes up only to have them crushed. I actually stopped letting myself get worked up about it for a while, but now that it's been so long since I cared, I'm back to being an emotional wreck again.

Don't beat yourself up. Whatever happens, happens. Some things are just out of our control, so you might as well just let time take its course.

Ronald Baker16 said:forgot the rules. someone refresh my memory.

One of those rules applies to you HERE.

As for the rest, just ask. I'll dig them up.

And for everything else? Try asking something actually worth answering. 😉
amberorca2 said:Of course I'll send you mine if I don't end up needing 😉 myself, I could even just swing by your place since you're practically neighbors😉

Ugh, okay, total tangent incoming, but I am freaking out right now. They called me in yesterday for a job interview—a really good one—but I still haven't heard anything back 😢. And god knows how brutal the job market is these days, people getting laid off left and right and contracts being canceled without warning. I'm not exactly loving my current gig, but at least it's steady, you know? It's such a tough call. I think I'm actually going to book an appointment with my doctor this week just so I can get some clarity and know where I stand
.
I was so sure I nailed it yesterday because my stomach was killing me and I felt all bloated 😢

Hey, neighbor, it’s a deal.😉

If I were in your shoes, I’d probably run one more test first thing tomorrow morning. Just to be sure. If it comes back negative, then nothing's happening. If it's positive, then great. But this waiting game? This uncertainty is the absolute worst part. Though, deep down, I have a feeling it's gonna be a + for you.

i'll give it a shot

Let me know if my little trick actually worked!!! And if she actually turned up.
Ladies, I’m dropping my address here so you can send over those little care packages—feel free to double up on the goodies if you want!

I’m finally finished today, but honestly, I’ll be right back at it in about four weeks, so I might as well try to save a few bucks now. And hey, don't be shy—if you feel like sending the extra nighttime stuff too, go for it. Maximum packing, please.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Drew Gonzalez75 said:So, I noticed my phone is somewhere in the apartment... it's on silent, but the screen is still lit up (and there’s still battery left)..
I was thinking about buying one of those little glowing keychains that light up when they detect your phone, then I could just call it and follow the glow through the house; but honestly, none of those trinkets at the local dollar store actually work.😢
Does anyone have any leads on where else to find those charms? Or maybe some other way to track this thing down?🙂
(I'm positive I dropped it somewhere inside the apartment)

Here’s what crossed my mind: grab an extension cord, plug in a radio, turn it on, but keep the volume low so you don't drive the neighbors crazy. Call your phone from another line and walk through the rooms. You should be able to hear that weird electronic interference or buzzing getting louder on the radio whenever you get close to the phone. The more the radio crackles, the closer you are.
If I think of anything else, I'll let you know.
amberorca2 said:Look, I’ve read all kinds of stories about tests—some people swear by them, some say they're useless—but honestly, it feels totally different for everyone. It’s just personal how they work on you.

I’m done testing for now. I’ll wait until my period actually shows up, or if I’m still waiting a week after that, then I’m heading straight to the doctor. 😉

Nothing hurts, really. No symptoms at all. Just a little crampy feeling like my period is coming, but that only started yesterday. 😉

God, I actually completely forgot I was even due! Then it hit me—like two weeks ago, I specifically went into CVS to grab some Kotex, and I realized right then that I was already late. I ended up grabbing a DUO pack while I was there. 😂

Anyway, I'm crossing my fingers that you DON'T get it. And if you don't... well, in about seven and a half months, you'll be holding your little one! 😍
Ashley Adams4 said:On day 12, I saw this incredibly faint, barely-there second line. Honestly, I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me—but every time I looked back, there it was 😁. By day two, it had darkened just a tiny bit, though still super pale. Then by day three, it was a little clearer, and after a few more days, it finally matched the test line... now the baby is sleeping right next to me 😍😉
Good luck 👍

It’s kind of wild, isn't it? All that fear, all that constant uncertainty... and then, at the end of it all, she's just right there, sleeping next to me. It's beautiful, honestly. If only life didn't come with so many headaches. If everything could just flow smoothly, peacefully, without the drama—so that after nine months of wondering, you could just look over and see her lying there beside you. Just like that. 😍
amberorca2 said:Yeah, sure, but she was talking about day 12 of her cycle. I am sitting here on day 47😂! If I’m pregnant, that line should be huge, like, big enough to drive a truck through🤣. But whatever, she's happy with her result, so good for her😘

It really just comes down to which test you’re using again. Honestly? Just try one of those Pregnancy ones... I can't even remember the full name of the brand right now, one of those ones... $12 So, it finally happened. I saw the line. A clear, unmistakable positive on my first morning test after being a few days late. Can you believe that? Just sitting there, staring at it like... well, like this.

Don't your breasts hurt? Seriously, isn't that just... everything?
