What exactly am I doing wrong with my "expression"? Look, everyone should just do their jobs and answer the questions. We shouldn't have to start new threads constantly, but when there's total silence for three days straight, what else am I supposed to do?

It seems like everyone’s just eager to post warnings. If you wandered into the wrong place, maybe you should've actually read the content before jumping in with your commentary. Personally, if someone hands me something, I'll read it, but I won't always comment. Honestly, if I actually cared about how everyone talks or acts, I'd be typing all day long, but I just don't have the energy...

As a global moderator, I know the rules of conduct inside and out. So, let's skip the lectures on behavior and "tone" around here moving forward...

So, here’s my take on the whole thing...

Because of one single sentence from our dear moderator over at D PalmeSutra, I ended up getting slapped with 45 penalty points over two months. Why? Because apparently, according to him, I was "offending" the ladies on this Forum!!!

The topic was: Bedwetting in older kids.
- I shared my own experience, and suddenly the accusations started flying—insults, everything...
- Then comes the report. The moderator wipes out all those insults, but then, just a few hours after deleting them, he hits me with 45 points for a post that was deleted ages ago. Of course, there's no evidence left now of what was actually being said.

- Long story short, after years of dealing with a kid who wouldn't stop wetting the bed, I finally snapped one day. I lost it on him, told him I was done, and that I wasn't going to be changing his clothes anymore... This was like 10 years ago. Honestly, I don't even remember exactly what I said.

- Anyway, people started throwing all this nonsense at me. Calling me Fritzl, saying I was abusive, pitying my poor kids, calling me mentally unstable... they even brought up how I'm supposed to be a devout believer and yet act this way toward my child... (for the record, I never laid a hand on him)

- Then, copperrider20 starts lecturing me about the Law. You know the drill: "The Law says this," "The Law says that," "We have to give children everything," "Children should be catered to..." just a few lines of that stuff.

- My response to all that was: I guess I'll just write my own version of that (referring to that Law which supposedly gives a kid the right to get whatever they want, even when you can barely afford bread, and insists everything has to revolve around the child)

- In no way, not in a single word or fragment, did I direct anything at any specific person on this Forum, let alone insult anyone.

- I've been filing appeals for days now, but nobody even bother than
responding.

- It’s more than obvious that the moderator messed up, but no one has the guts to say anything.

- I actually have some proof (thank God I learned how to take screenshots from those helpful users, so I have evidence)

In my opinion, this isn't offending anyone (just some stupid Law, which has nothing to do with the Forum or its members)

I see that old thread got bumped yesterday, so I figured I’d jump in. If anyone still needs advice, we’ve all been through this dance a few times now.

It really just boils down to how much you want to spend and what their specific interests are. I’ll try to list out some gift ideas that work well for girls, though some might suit the boys too.

If you’re looking to spend somewhere around $33 (personally, I always prefer giving an actual gift over just handing over cash)

- girls usually love keepsakes
- paired with a nice, cheerful wallet + maybe a little backpack or something along those lines for the girls. For the boys, maybe something with a sports team logo or whatever.

- various kinds of notebooks

In the $100-$67
range: - a school backpack (for next year). (I managed to snag some Nike ones for about $37, they were on sale, grabbed two for mine—one's in 6th grade, and the other won't need one until maybe 3rd grade)

something like this or this or even just something with bright, fun patterns (depending on their taste)

- for a boy, maybe a soccer jersey? (even if the authentic ones are pricey, maybe find a decent replica)
Take my middle son, for example. This is his absolute dream; he doesn't care about anything else. Just Torres and him. He has a replica (one of those kids' versions, I think) and he practically lives in it.

- if they have any specific hobbies or love animals, this is a total home run. (We have two at home, one like that and one purple, and honestly, everyone who visits drools over them)

Anyway, that's all I've got. My brain is running dry on inspiration 😁.

Honestly? It’s better if they just clear out completely. I used to deal with them constantly—I don't even know how to describe it now, but it was a nightmare every single time I was pregnant. Last time, when I had that miscarriage, nothing happened. No rupture, no disappearing act... nothing. That thing just sat there, massive, like an 8 by 7 cm lump. Even after the D&C, they didn't manage to get it all out. It just clung to me, staying put like some kind of stubborn leech. Why does it always have to be that way?

Just relax. We’ll figure something out. Or we won't. Who knows? We'll make something up as we go along. 😉
