Steven Fox37 said:They're about as true as stories about soldiers falling on Snake Island or a Russian tank crushing a Ukrainian car.

So, what actually happened to those soldiers on Snake Island? I read somewhere that they supposedly didn't even make it out alive—is there any truth to that?

Noah Roberts46 said:I think everyone understands that kind of mindset when it involves the citizens of Ukraine, America, or any nation that has faced aggression—of course, it makes sense in that context. But those who aren't directly involved in the fighting shouldn't adopt those views. Generalizing an entire nation—especially one as massive as Russia—as criminals won't achieve anything positive in the long run.

It's like what that guy was saying in the video that Jonathan Barnes5 posted. Obviously, things are hardest for the people in Ukraine, but if we start treating every single Russian as if they are Putin, what do we expect them to become in the long term? They will end up harboring hatred toward the West in exactly the same way. That's why I say it's a vicious cycle, and we should look at the lessons of history regarding Hitler. But hey, history has a nasty habit of repeating itself.

Alright, thanks for getting back to me.
Why was the Europa League thread locked?
Maybe we should just start a new thread, since this one is getting a little too long—it’s starting to feel crowded, don't you think?

I haven't seen it myself, and honestly, after reading all these comments—kind of like what Noah Roberts46 was saying—I don't even feel like watching it anymore.

Noah Roberts46 said:Exactly. Silvio hit his peak with that card game scene and when that kid came in to clean up the cheese under him. 😬

For me, Christopher might be the best character outside of Tony. He has some of the absolute best scenes in the whole series, so I'm going to geek out for a second:

That iconic intervention, showing how Tony absolutely loses it over any violence against animals, from horses to dogs. 🤣

The wine theft:

The drug use:

Buying the fish:

And we don't even need to talk about that stuff in the woods. Basically, he's in a ton of great scenes, and his girlfriend was a total knockout.

I'm with you—Chris is my favorite too, maybe even more than Tony. For me, his best moment was definitely that blowout fight he had with the guy at the bakery.

Nathan Murphy said:I think you're looking at it wrong. You're talking about how things work in the real world—loyalty and trust—and while Paulie has been by Tony's side longer because they grew up together, that's not my point. If Silvio were a real person, sure, you'd want him in your corner. But I'm not talking about reality; I'm talking about TV. Silvio isn't a great TELEVISION character. He’s not the kind of character you obsess over or really fall in love with. Paulie is a fantastic television character because he’s unpredictable and hilarious. All that paranoia of his—this mobster acting like a hypochondriac—is funny in its own right. I never knew where I stood with Paulie. One minute he’s the worst guy for getting a job done, and the next, he’s the best once he finally snaps and gets serious.

Silvio was good to me at first, but as the show progressed, he stopped offering anything new. He actually dropped to the very bottom of my list regarding the characters surrounding Tony. It's better to stick with Springsteen😁; he’s much better in this series. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1958961/

And btw, this one for Furio was the most reliable guy whenever you actually needed a job done.

I totally get where you're coming from, but I don't agree that Silvio isn't a "TV character" just because he isn't an extrovert like Paulie. Silvio is subtle, which is exactly how someone in his position should be. Sure, Paulie might be more entertaining, but Silvio has his own merits—the show wouldn't feel the same without him.
I completely agree with you regarding this one for Furio.

Honestly, one of the absolute best episodes😁

Nathan Murphy said:I thought my bio was pretty solid at first, but as the series progressed, he became the least compelling character among those surrounding Tony Soprano. I can always get a laugh out of Paulie, though—his paranoia, his sense of humor, or just some crazy joke he tells. In my eyes, he’s easily the best character next to Tony. He’s technically the only one who survived, but if you take that cat as a metaphor for death, he’s really gone.

Silvio is easily the most intense character in the whole series.
He’s smart, cold-blooded, and completely loyal to Tony. A perfect right-hand man—he could have been the lead if he had actually wanted that. Paulie, on the other hand, just can't help making a mess of things, from that unnecessary hit on Russ to leaking info to the crew back in New York.

silvercobra4 said:Honestly, this guy is one of the biggest morons in TV history. He’s barely worse than that total disaster from Nip/Tuck, Matt. This guy? He’s untouchable in his stupidity.🤦

If you think that, Jackie jr. was an even bigger moron.
The Godfather (2021) in Movies ·
silvercobra4 said:But that sounds more like some sci-fi plotline. Right now, Anthony jr. is just a small fry, so him "taking charge" by going head-to-head with the mob feels more like a fantasy movie than anything else. 😁

He actually tried to take out the kid, but let's face it, he didn't exactly make a name for himself doing it.

Quote: actually makes a pretty good point. The first three movies were solid, but after that, they basically traded street racing for organized crime and heist plots—which just isn't what I'm looking for when I want to see some cars flying down the strip.

Also,
Fast and Furious
First off, the acting is just rough. Look, I get it—these are action flicks, and you aren't exactly signing up for an Oscar-winning performance, right? But I can't help but feel a little bad for the actors having to deliver such incredibly cheesy, unrealistic dialogue.

uff, yeah—most superhero flicks (Batman is pretty much the only exception) plus the Fast and Furious series.
Honestly, those just make me sick. I’m seriously counting down the days until this whole trend of filming mindless action trash finally dies out.

I’ve given Titanic a few tries, but honestly—the longest I managed to last was just thirty minutes.
Trolling with "U" on the Soccer subforum in Feedback & Suggestions ·
Matthew Collins20 said:Whether it’s harmless or not, these kinds of outbursts happen all the time—and since nothing ever actually gets deleted, it just encourages people to keep doing it.

If someone decided their "style" was writing things like SS or HH instead of using actual letters, would we just let that slide? What if this were happening over on the sports subforum—would that make it okay then? Where do we actually draw the line?
From what I understand, even trolling isn't allowed here, so I'd imagine this kind of thing shouldn't be flying under the radar either.

Honestly, I'm really hoping this whole complaining session of yours is just you trolling and that you aren't being serious.
