Is it even worth putting anything on Oklahoma, Minnesota, or LA? Just looking for a little win here, maybe??

If Stoudemire had been hitting his shots just a little more consistently, he’d be carrying the entire system on his back right now. But hey, it is what it is—he's still getting his rebounds and chipping away at those points. Honestly, I think the oddsmakers need to dial it back on him; they should probably set his line at 18.5 instead of what it is currently.
As for Kobe, don't get too ahead of yourselves thinking that line is staying put. It’s definitely going to climb past 33.5 soon enough... just because he had two monster games doesn't mean we can blindly bet the over every single night.
My picks for today? Everything is a 1, and I'm taking the under on Parker!
2012 Housing Loan Subsidies (Associated Press) in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Can anyone help me out with the legal side of things? I'm trying to figure out how to word the section in my purchase agreement regarding the Fannie Mae incentives. Basically, I want to make sure there's a clause stating that if we don't get approved for those subsidies by January 1st, the entire sale falls through. Also, I need to ensure that if this happens, I'll get my full deposit back, along with any other funds I've already handed over as part of the preliminary agreement. Thanks!
The organization was actually a bit better this year. They finally got the food situation under control, so there wasn't all that shouting and chaos you usually see at those small-town county fairs. That being said, the prices were absolutely highway robbery...$6.75paying that much for beer that isn't even top-shelf is a joke...$12and don't even get me started on the burgers and dry buns—it was pretty mediocre. As for Skittles, they’re being their usual stingy selves, yet they still want everyone to see their branding everywhere. We’ve got 50,000 people here and they only handed out 200 balloons and some popcorn? For a massive corporation like that, it’s honestly embarrassing. They could have easily given out t-shirts, hats, blankets, or something useful. Regarding the music, enough said: Gentleman, Cypress Hill, Arcade Fire, and Dubioza absolutely crushed it... and Nick Cave's side project totally blew me away... I'd rather buy a muscle car than deal with my ears ringing like this. I love the Bad Seeds, but Grinderman was a bit much for me. J.K. was just okay, maybe a vocal issue or something, but since it's my first time hearing them, I can't complain too much.
All in all, I'd give it a 7 out of 9.
I’m planning on getting a CT scan done, but it won't be for another week. That puts me at about 15 days since the cheek numbness started, and 20 days since the actual impact. I really hope I haven't waited too long to check for any lasting complications... my doctor mentioned that with these kinds of hits, numbness can easily linger for a month or two if there isn't a fracture or a shift in the zygomatic bone. The only real issue right now is this tingling sensation; it could be a nerve thing, or maybe a hairline crack, but my facial symmetry looks perfectly fine—there aren't any visible signs of trauma and it doesn't actually hurt. I know there aren't a ton of specialized surgeons or maxillofacial experts out here, but I wanted to get some advice regardless. I've been taking B-complex in the meantime while I wait for the scan... uff...
Seriously, does nobody have an answer? Not even two people?
So, about four days ago, I took a heavy punch straight to the face. It was bad enough that I went down hard, and I think I might have even smacked my head against the concrete. I’ve already taken some photos and gone to see both a maxillofacial surgeon and an ophthalmologist—everything came back looking totally fine on those scans. But then yesterday, after three days of feeling okay, this weird numbness started creeping in on the left side of my face and my upper lip. At first, I thought my teeth were just tingling from the impact itself, but now it’s more persistent. Currently, I’m dealing with a nasty black eye, especially around the socket, and the bruising is starting to bleed down toward my cheekbone. Does anyone have any advice or know when this discoloration usually clears up? Also, that numbness on the left side—my cheek and part of my lip—is still hanging around.
Everything else seems to be normal.
Is facial numbness a common symptom after something like this? Or, if you guys have any tips for dealing with eye bruising (maybe for next time...)?
I’ve been icing my face and my eye for the last three days; is there any chance the constant ice could actually be causing this numbness?
Thanks!
Wait, how am I even supposed to tell if I’ve actually broken my shin?! It’s turning blue and purple... there are some weird bumps appearing, and honestly, I can still stand up and walk, but man, it hurts like crazy whenever I touch it! I'm seriously stuck—how do you actually distinguish a full break from just a bad crack or fracture?
So, I’m finally heading back to training next week! Honestly, it's been a wild ride—one minute I was dealing with this absolutely nasty pain, and then, out of nowhere, my ankle mobility felt totally fine again within just two days. It’s so weird. Part of me is convinced there’s some tiny hairline fracture in there causing all that sudden agony, because it felt intense. I'm not sure how everyone else is feeling about their own recoveries, but for me, I've made a decision: moving forward, I'm definitely going to wrap my ankle whenever I know I'm in for a heavy session. At the very least, I need to grab some elastic compression bandages to keep in my gym bag just in case.🙂
I could really use some advice here. I took a pretty hard hit to my shin and ankle, and now the ankle is swollen on both sides. It actually started bruising up a bit today—probably because I was wearing tight shoes, which sounds silly, but maybe that’s what did it. My shin is bruised too; I’ve been icing it, but I’m really hoping I don't end up with any permanent lumps. Does anyone know how to get those bumps to go away?
Also, how can I tell if I actually broke something? I can stand up, and honestly, I’m walking a little better today, even though the injury happened two days ago. If I can walk "normally" but the swelling is still there and it hurts a little when I touch it, do I still need to go get an X-ray or something? I’m a total amateur when it comes to injuries, but my right ankle definitely swelled up quite a bit after that impact!

What kind of exercises? I mean, it’s pretty obvious—I just overdid it on my joints, specifically my shoulders and biceps. Honestly, though, I think the real kicker was when I was hitting shoulders. Doing those front raises! It's hard to say, and people keep telling me I should probably wrap it up, but I just popped a 400 mg ibuprofen. I’m planning on taking it three times a day, and since I already took one before 5:00, it actually feels like it's starting to kick in! There really isn't much else I can do... maybe I just let my imagination run a little wild with the panic. It's different when you have muscle soreness in your leg or your arm, you know? But when it hits such a tiny, specific spot, it really makes you second-guess things... thanks anyway!

So, I was working out without any weights right after my gym session, and then I decided to grab some light dumbbells... and throw in some push-ups. Now, I don't see any obvious swelling or anything dramatic, but there’s this nagging pain right in the wrist area—mostly around the palm and fingers. The joint itself feels completely locked up; I can't move it up, down, or even side-to-side. Zero rotation whatsoever. Honestly, I think that wrist might have been a little weak to begin with, and while I don't think I actually tore anything, the pain is just incredibly irritating. I’m going to pop an Advil, even though I almost never take medication. I've had pains wake me up before, sometimes thinking it's just because I slept on my hand weirdly, but this feels like something more...
I'm pretty sure that weight did me in because I skipped my warm-up and ended up straining it... ugh, but thanks for the advice!

So, after a few months of picking up some weights and doing exercises, I started adding push-ups into the mix. The second I put weight on my left wrist, I felt this sharp pain, but I just brushed it off, thinking it was nothing, and powered through the set anyway. Now, I’ve been waking up in actual pain, and today my arm is swollen and hurts even if I barely move it. What should I do?? Should I go get an MRI or just stay off it entirely!!!!???
thanks

The appeal is officially in! Now, I’m just sitting here playing the waiting game, wondering when that letter from the court is actually going to show up. Does anyone know when the courts start their summer recess? If they aren't taking a break anytime soon, I might have to start befriending my mailman so he just slips those yellow notices under the door, or maybe I should just change my address entirely... who knows! Anyway, I've been told not to hold my breath regarding the Supreme Court. A few people mentioned they've seen cases where decisions get sent out way after the statute of limitations has already passed, and urbanraven16 confirmed that's definitely a thing. Honestly, it might be better to just settle this now before things spiral into even more expensive legal headaches.

Thanks, everyone!

Ugh, that sounds absolutely freezing... though, urbanraven16, man, you would have been in such deep trouble if that had happened to you.
Seriously, the officer told me that because of a judge's discretion ruling, I could actually come out okay—like, he said it’s possible he could drop my fine to the absolute minimum—but even then, I’d still lose my driver's license regardless.
So, here's the thing: I went in thinking I was going to file an appeal against the administrative order, but he just told me straight up that you can't appeal that specific order. Plus, since alcohol absorption takes about 72 hours—and I was at 0.1% or higher—they took my license for those three days right then and there. Even if they were technically in the right, I really wanted to fight this. Now, all I can do is contest the citation itself. Once I see which judge I’m assigned to, I’ll decide whether to ask for leniency or just stick to my guns and exercise my right to appeal (since judges move so fast sometimes, they often just dictate that the defendant chose not to appeal, so I'll have to see how it goes).
..
Version A: Take the gamble, put myself at the mercy of the judge, hope for a minimal fine, and hand over my license for 3 months.
Version B: Fight it head-on. Appeal based on the breathalyzer error, the cap issue, and the fact that the officer pulled me over while I wasn't even behind the wheel, then take it all the way up to a high-level misdemeanor court. Since I'm out here in rural territory, I figure I won't even get the court summons until after the holidays. Otherwise, if you agree to the proposed terms, the verdict usually comes right after the first hearing (or so I've heard), especially since they want to wrap these types of cases up quickly.
..If I decide to appeal to the high misdemeanor court, and let's say that doesn't happen for another 6 months, what are the odds that the high court resolves it within a year and a half?
...
Or maybe I've totally messed this up: If I decide to contest the citation—arguing the cap issue or that the driving charge is wrong because I wasn't even driving (how do you even phrase that?)—what happens next? Does the same court decide on that and issue a second ruling, and *then* does an appeal to the high misdemeanor court follow after that second decision??

The cops actually told me that filing an appeal against the restraining order—you know, the one regarding the precautionary measures—wasn't even an option!! Like, wtf! I ended up dropping the whole thing anyway, but this guy tells me: "Hey, go tell that person or those people who told you an appeal was possible that I, Perica, say otherwise!" Then he goes on to give me my driver's license back after we had a little chat. A quick talk and just like that, thanks and goodbye

James Cox6,
don't go overboard here! Good grief, what kind of felony are we talking about? What pedestrian massacre?! You're being way too dramatic! 😲

Oh, come on, don't be silly! I want to do this properly—and more importantly, I want to get the details exactly right. Besides, the basic structure for all these kinds of formal complaints, grievances, or legal filings is pretty much the same: you state what you’re unhappy about and then explain what you want changed. That's just what I'm trying to put together here...
..
And you? You're just gathering intel. I truly hope you never actually have to use it.🙂

😎 Well, don't go being like that! /I sheepishly looked down at my shoes, feeling my face turn bright red/
