Need help picking a martial art? Any suggestions? in Martial Arts & Combat Sports ·
I found myself in the exact same spot, paralyzed by indecision. Should I try judo, wrestling, jiu-jitsu, or maybe aikido? Then, purely by chance, I ran into some guys handing out flyers for aikido (ki-akido), and well, here I am five years later. My advice? Just show up to a session. See how they train, ask the instructors whatever questions are on your mind... If it doesn't click, just move on to the next discipline. 😉

Take a look here... if you’re genuinely feeling lost about what you actually want, why not consult an online advisor 😁

On another note, if you're looking for something engaging that isn't just the usual karate, taekwondo, or judo, you might find interest in Aikido (ki or iwama-ryu), Kuk sool do, kendo, nanbudo, or kung-fu.
Stories like this belong on the front page of The Wall Street Journal immediately. People need to know. Once they're exposed, those in charge might actually think twice before trying to pull the wool over everyone's eyes again....

I own an OrbiTrek, and I can say without hesitation that it’s worth it. In my opinion, there isn't a better piece of equipment out there for building up your stamina—unless you prefer the classic route of running through the mountains or woods. The real advantage here is that, unlike stationary bikes, steppers, or those questionable spring machines, the OrbiTrek engages significantly more muscle groups. Since there’s no seat, you're essentially supporting your own body weight throughout the movement, which adds a layer of intensity.

Most of my sessions focus on cardio training.

I couldn't tell you what they’re retailing for these days, though. I picked mine up about three or four years ago when they first started gaining traction.

To put it as simply as possible:

If homosexuality were truly natural, there would only be one gender.

I caught the movie a few days ago. To be honest, I wasn't particularly impressed... It was mediocre at best.

To be specific, almost nothing happens during the first hour, aside from that brief car chase and the scramble into the shuttle. Not to dwell on it, but I felt the crucial moments were rushed through, while the filler—the parts that actually drag—was stretched out far longer than necessary.
Honestly, I’ve been itching to sit down and watch "The Searchers" by Akira Kurosawa, starring Toshiro Mifune...

The defining feature of any sport is competition. While physical activity is certainly required, without that competitive element, you’re really just looking at recreation or the pursuit of a skill.

My suggestion:

"Full Metal Jacket".... It's a solid film, incredibly realistic, though perhaps a bit too brutal at times...
