frupy said:Exactly, there was zero guidance or preparation beforehand.
That’s mostly because there wasn't some crushing societal mandate that everyone had to maintain a straight-A average.
Back then, being a poor reader wasn't treated as an outlier after elementary school.
Dyslexia was just called "having trouble reading,"
dysgraphia was just "messy handwriting,"
and dyscalculia basically meant someone was just "bad at math."
Now we have all these formal diagnoses and individualized education programs and various accommodations, yet the hunger for perfect grades has never been more intense.
It’s a bit of an oxymoron that ultimately leads to total chaos. ☕

If a kid gets a C, there shouldn't be this massive drama surrounding it; they're going to see plenty of Cs in their life, and the sooner they accept that reality, the better.

I’m looking for a solid recommendation for an orthopedic surgeon in San Diego—I don't mind paying for a private specialist if it means better care. If there happens to be someone who specifically specializes in hands and wrists, even better.
Thanks!

it’s also called glucose candy or just plain old Candy.
Just enough to confuse some girls or maybe a clerk at Walmart so they can't easily look up whatever you're talking about.

As for pregnant women, I wouldn't know—I've never been pregnant myself.😁

My teeth aren't exactly high quality to begin with, so I tend to obsess over them like a maniac, but I honestly didn't expect to be dealing with two cavities by the time I'm three months pregnant. I guess if this is how it starts, I can only imagine what happens by the end of the pregnancy.😢>
