Regarding the texture—none of my cakes ever turn out "dry." Usually, they're incredibly moist unless someone specifically asks for something less juicy. I always soak the sponge with something—if it’s fruit-based, I’ll whip up a fruit reduction; if it’s chocolate, I go with liquid chocolate; for Tiramisu, it’s always coffee spiked with rum. I soak the layers thoroughly so the cake basically melts in your mouth.
Again, it really depends on how tall the cake is and how you stack the layers. You don't want it *too* soaked if it's a massive tower, but if you use tiered stands where each layer is separate, then yeah—it can be super decadent.
What do you think? Sound good? 😉
Most of the time I make Sachertortes, Black Forest (or other fruit varieties), chocolate cakes, parfaits (either vanilla or chocolate), and Tiramisu...
Just a heads-up: out of respect for the classic Sacher style, I don't use basic sponge cake for those. I use the authentic, rich chocolate dough from the original recipe. That means a single tier can weigh at least 20 pounds, so those cakes are a bit more on the pricey side. Of course, I can always make them with standard chocolate sponge if you prefer.

I work with both fondant and buttercream—though some clients specifically ask for a whipped frosting finish, similar to what you'd see on those fancy French macaron bites. It’s sweet, white, and allows for beautiful shapes that you just can't achieve with standard icing (if that's what they're dreaming up).
Honestly, I don't know how I could be this dense—I've been gifting birthday cakes for years and doing wedding cakes too, yet here I am, scrambling for work like a total amateur. And then my partner goes, "Well, why don't you just sell them? Everyone assumes you bought them anyway, and honestly, people would jump at the chance to buy them."
The truth is, I’m fully equipped—I've even got cake stands that can hold up to six tiers. I'm creative and nothing phases me—seriously, if you have some wild, out-of-the-box idea, I can probably pull it off. I do everything from sugar art and marzipan to delicate petals, bows, and custom ornaments... basically, whatever your heart desires.

Hey everyone, quick update.
I’ve been baking custom wedding cakes for years now—so if you have a specific vision, just send over a photo. We can chat about the flavors and I'll whip up a custom cake with all the decorations you want, plus I have a huge selection of cake stands to choose from. All at a really fair price.
The only real limit is that I don't do anything taller than 6 tiers.
If you've seen photos of cakes I've made before, yes, I can definitely recreate those too.
Just make sure to reach out at least two weeks before the big day—that way I can guarantee the decorations will look exactly like your inspiration photo.
Right now, I'm focusing strictly on cakes, not individual pastries or desserts.
Shoot me an email at example@gmail.com or give me a call at 555-012-3456

Shortness of breath, chest pain, etc... in Health ·
Olivia Martin6 said:Since my student health insurance card expires every year and my mom hasn't sent over the renewal info yet—meaning I can't hit up a doctor under my plan right now—I'm hoping someone here can give me a free diagnosis.
Basically, ever since I moved into my new place on Monday, I’ve been struggling to breathe, and as the days go by, this pain in my chest—specifically the left side—is getting worse. It used to happen occasionally before; it actually started when I came back from summer break last year, though it went away once I moved out for college. Then, once I came back home, it popped up again. Using Ventolin and an inhaler (that purple disk thing, I forget the name) usually cleared it up after two or three puffs, but lately, it won't stop. Honestly, the breathing difficulty isn't even the main issue anymore—it's the chest pain. This morning my calves started aching, and I had some pain between my elbows too, though that passed. My calves still hurt a bit, just not as bad as they did earlier. I'm really hoping someone knowledgeable can tell me what's going on; all I can offer is my sincere thanks. Or, at least, point me toward where I can find more info.

Ever heard of psychosomatic illnesses?☕

That "girls, don't" thing
actually meant
DO NOT GO TO HIM FOR THE LIFE OUT OF YOU!!!!
Haha... I totally missed this one. It’s basically the law.
🎉 🎉 🎉 🎉 🎉 🎉 🎉 🎉 🎉
I AM GOING TO LOSE MY MIND!!!!!
On one hand, you've got twenty different threads going—and every single one gets the exact same response:--
LOOK, IT'S YOUR BODY AND NOBODY HERE KNOWS IF YOU'RE PREGNANT OR NOT, SO JUST BUY A TEST AND GET IT OVER WITH ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!
Seriously, it’s the same thing over and over again... I mean, I think Katie has already told people to buy a test countless times—kudos to her, really—but I just can't deal with it anymore..
If you guys don't know your own bodies well enough to tell a cold from a pregnancy, why on earth would you expect us to know?!
"..am I just late or am I pregnant?
is this a cold or am I pregnant?
did I just overeat or am I pregnant?
is it PMS or am I pregnant?"
😱 😱 😱 😱 😱 😱 😱

Wait, I'm lost—is the baby changing your plans for a wedding, or did something else shift? If you don't mind me asking...
magic blue said:what's the point of this 😕

Just to break up the monotony of being happy—honestly, it was an accident, but since we're here, let's roll with it.

Rebecca Cox4 said:I just have to warn you all about this guy Podobnik—what he did (or rather, failed to do) for my friend, and later, for someone else too. My friend saw him regularly for years—at least twice a year for her exams. Now, the doctor wasn't perfect—from what she could tell over the last four years—but whenever she actually voiced a concern, Podobnik would just brush her off: "It’s nothing, everything is fine, you're young and healthy, don't worry..." But her gut was screaming at her—she felt something was wrong. So she went to a different OB-GYN, who ran tests, sent her for an HPV screen, and it turned out she was positive. After a biopsy, they found CIN III—basically, she'd been dealing with this for quite a while...
And that same Podobnik made the exact same mistake with an acquaintance of hers—who we later found out had the same gynecologist—and she ended up needing a LEEP procedure or whatever that's called... SO, ladies, stay far away from Podobnik... anything but good things...

I used to assist Podobnik and... girls, seriously, DON'T!!!
jamat said:I really need some advice here. My period is 10 days late, and I started seeing this brown discharge today. I took a Clearblue pregnancy test right after—it showed a positive almost immediately. Does this mean I'm definitely pregnant? And if I am, should I be worried about the brown discharge? Will everything be okay?😕

I dealt with brown discharge too—now I have a wonderful two-year-old running around. Still, please go see a doctor just to be safe.
Look, I hate to break it to you, but this isn't some rare phenomenon—my cousin dealt with three miscarriages, my mom had two, and several of my girlfriends back in high school went through the same thing. It happens way more often than people realize. At the end of the day, only a doctor can give you a definitive answer though...
Raymond Bennett27 said:Hooray! My period finally arrived! Hooray!!! 😉 I am so happy. This is probably really it—I've been waiting forever for this! I'm so relieved!

Just to be clear,
I had two periods while I was pregnant...

Kevin Roberts68 said:Good grief, save us. I went to her for years—everything was just "fine" with her, totally casual. No actual therapy, just constant comments like all men are trash, or if you aren't using a condom, you're an idiot for thinking he isn't cheating... yeah, my husband and I use condoms too, who knows who she's been sleeping with lately... stuff like that. Two close friends of mine—basically sisters—who have a family history of cervical cancer, were told with CIN 2 that they didn't need any treatment because it would just go away on its own. I even heard stories about women losing babies under her care... yikes. Look, I didn't have major issues personally, but she wasn't helpful at all. Not to mention I waited three or four months just for basic test results. That's pretty much it.

I mean, I get that every OBGYN has some crazy reputation floating around, but she just wasn't right for me, period. Whatever I asked, she’d just crack up laughing and tell me not to overthink it instead of actually answering. One friend's warts weren't even detected by her, which led to her switching to another doctor, and that guy😱

not to mention she sees a lot of older women from rural areas—people who might not be the most sophisticated or strictly follow hygiene protocols, if you catch my drift.

Anyway, that's just my experience.👎

That's interesting. Honestly, it surprises me—explain everything to me in detail, please... I don't know. On the other hand, I have this weird feeling she's a total panicker; she calls me to check in and ask how things are going, even though we basically don't even know each other. That part really throws me for a loop.
My only symptom was that my breasts got bigger
Weed smoking habits in Health ·
I’ve never touched weed, coffee, or cigarettes—but I did end things with my ex-fiancé because of his marijuana use.
To be honest, that’s pretty much why I’m a single mom today.

He just... started getting duller and more checked out over time.

Look, I'll admit it—you're right. But I did my internship over at Bezbrij, and there’s a HUGE difference... it's not everyone, obviously, but for the vast majority? It's definitely true. Or maybe I just happened to run into a bunch of idiots... I mean, while the woman is actually there, everything is perfect—but the second she leaves...
