honestly, I just want
this whole thing is a total joke, just like everything else in this country

maybe one of these days they'll actually let you on a cultural commission and approve something that isn't strictly by the book

I'm really not even going to dignify that with a comment.

I just realized all three of those movies are war dramas. And honestly, I’m not exactly a fan of the genre. That’s pretty much the last thing I’d choose to watch on a Friday night.

I’m starting to wonder if I’ve actually seen all of them. Honestly, they didn't really hit me as "cinema." To me, they just feel like local comedy skits—just a bunch of people bickering back and forth...

These, however, are absolute masterpieces:

1 Guard ; Armin—honestly, I wouldn't even bother debating this one. That film belongs in the top 250 greatest movies of all time.

3 How the war started on my island

Art can act as a mirror for both individual and collective psychology, especially when its purpose is to serve as a bridge toward perception, insight, and true understanding...

Honestly, I think the best move for any individual is just to adapt to the present. Everything has already been figured out; there’s nothing left to discover. And what defines an individual? An individual is someone who works tirelessly to make their own life run smoothly. Meanwhile, the unemployed types love gathering around in the afternoon just to talk. They don't care about things running smoothly; they just care about the social aspect.

All those mythological stories are "true," just not in the grand, sweeping way people experience them today while reading. All those tales unfolded in very small, primitive environments. Those heroes were just ordinary people who possessed exceptional potential, and they essentially just wowed the masses of unthinking people—basically sheep. It’s a little harder to do that nowadays... but the principle remains the same.

In the past, people created symbols because they didn't have the luxury of writing or storing information digitally. Today, that’s practically irrelevant. Modern structures are much simpler; they’re built purely for utility. No artist just draws randomly; they all have a vision. And a "vision" is really just a cluster of activated neurons that processed information through the eyes, ears, and so on...

Regarding the astrological calendar: everything is technically accurate. The creation and technology behind it were entirely possible. People weren't so dim that they failed to notice patterns and start studying statistics. Even my cat knows where the warm spots and cold spots are in the house.

As for genetic evolution, the cosmos, and all that... I think we’re far too small to be preoccupied with those questions. We don't need some grand enlightenment. A person who actually possesses knowledge doesn't feel the need to go playing experimenter. Just enjoy the secondary things while you can. Nowadays, humans are so well-cared for that they actually have the time to devote themselves to things no previous generation could ever dream of. Besides, our primary needs are all identical for everyone: eat, drink, sleep, and die.

If people actually worked with true knowledge, it would be as if they were already prepared to die. That’s why we spend every single second adapting to new experiences.
How to fill the Treasury? By fighting for human rights! in Close to Politics ·
At the end of the day, I’d rather bank on people. Everyone here just seems obsessed with their own little dramas and finding new ways to tear each other down. It’s all noise to me; none of it actually leads to anything useful.

To be honest, we need a complete policy overhaul. One visionary leader could accomplish more than this entire gridlocked mess of baseless politics we deal with.

1. Turn the shadow economy into a legitimate, transparent one.
2. Stop starting half-baked projects. Finish what we start from A to Z before even thinking about moving on to the next thing.
3. Anything owned by the city or the state that isn't serving an economic purpose should be handed over for free to those who actually need it—not just leased out to corporate landlords.
4. Fix the education system entirely. Right now, it's just a wasteland of useless literature classes while the youth spend their time drinking, hanging at coffee shops, and smoking. None of these students are learning any actual life skills or discipline. They all have to learn how to function as adults the hard way because the schools failed them. You haven't taught them a single thing of value.

It’s pretty obvious you all just hate yourselves.

Boundaries don't exist
If you ask me, it’s probably better to just keep your mouth shut and blend in with the crowd

But then again, some people feel obligated to break the ice while everyone else is just lying around doing nothing

And there you are, meticulously putting the pieces together and wondering why things turned out this way

A person is essentially trapped within their own bubble. Everything they do is just a projection of themselves. All that information and creativity being pumped out? It’s just more of the same stuff from the same old environment... there isn't anything left to learn here. We've reached this specific plateau, and you can see it clearly: religion and everything tied to it is crumbling. It means our current consciousness has already moved past all that. What kind of art are we even talking about? None. We’re moving on.
The Gods (Who Inspired) the Philosophers in Philosophy ·
In physics, there’s this concept of fractals. Everything is just one giant, self-similar pattern, and we’re just tiny little pieces tucked inside the loop.
People are basically trapped under an orbital crust, and somehow they evolved into intelligent beings only to sit around wondering how they even got here.
From the beginning of time until now, you have to skip over all the "how" and "why"—there's nothing you can actually do about it. Our environment is incredibly small, too. You know how it goes: you eat something, you get rid of it, and then you end up consuming the cycle all over again. So, really, what's the point of art?
The Gods (Who Inspired) the Philosophers in Philosophy ·

What's the easiest way to cheese this? in Health ·
Does anyone else feel like it’s better to just deal with a hangover by grabbing a greasy burger, or should I wait for my stomach to actually digest something? Honestly, the latter sounds like an even bigger nightmare.
Why do some people hate America? in Close to Politics ·
Personally, I don't hate Americans because of history or politics... I just can't stand the place because the whole system is as broken and glitchy as Windows 7.

I absolutely loathe our bureaucracy.
Can a name cause trauma? in Psychology ·
Apparently, everything is traumatic now. And yet, people just keep making the exact same jokes over and over again.
Man vs. The System in Philosophy ·
I’m not sure if I’m hitting the mark here, but anything goes. We started down a messy path, and maybe in another thousand years, we’ll finally find the right one. Then again, we aren't exactly "wrong"—we’re just a massive, chaotic melting pot of different influences.

Take the water system, for example. Looking at it today, the infrastructure is already there and fully paid for. The only real cost left is maintenance. At its source, water itself doesn't cost a dime.

So, think about it: how much does maintaining the national water supply actually cost per day? If you took that total amount and divided it by the entire population, that would be the fair way to handle it for every citizen.

But instead, just look at the mess we have... from the political maneuvering to the endless sales tax on everything...

Honestly, don't even stress about it. Just close your eyes and carry on. If an opportunity ever comes your way to take something for yourself—something that would actually make your life better—take it.
Switching up my sleep setup in Health ·
Anyone have any experience with this? I'm curious about what kind of impact it actually makes. I have the chance to switch up my room—basically, I could move into a different space in the house. I've been stuck in the exact same room my entire life.
Total Despair in Perfect Conditions in Psychology & Therapy ·
You built one thing, but you didn't build the other, so the conditions just aren't perfect yet.
What exactly is synergy?

Then you’ve got bundle branch block to deal with too.

Honestly, it looks like time is the only thing that's going to fix this. Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome is definitely setting in.
I’m wondering if you can actually run these therapies at the same time? Honestly, I’d rather try that than just sit around waiting for time to take its course.

I step from heat to AC about a hundred times a day. My body has basically adapted to it... though maybe it’s just age, or maybe it’s those sudden weather shifts when you aren't being active. It’s like trying to sprint out of nowhere when your joints aren't even warmed up yet...

I’ve been driving my car with the windows down lately because the power windows were acting up, but since it was summer, I didn't even care. That’s a pretty perfect excuse right there.
Nowadays, you can even find stuff like massage therapy and steam rooms at your local community health center.

Between the calming meds and various vitamins,

I’m definitely looking into booking some acupuncture sessions along with a few other physical therapy treatments.
The thread was probably something like, "Window's open, window's broken... breeze hits and boom."

I'll keep this brief. Aside from the standard meds and physical therapy you can get prescribed by your doctor today and start in a few days, I'm wondering what you can actually achieve at private PT clinics?

What's the end goal here?

I think I read somewhere about acupuncture.

Thanks in advance.🙂
