Renfield (2023) in Movies ·
It was okay for a quick watch, I guess, just another one of those weird Cage's roles we've been seeing lately where there's way too much fantasy and CGI blood for a pretty silly concept. Just another attempt at a fun Dracula flick, which isn't exactly groundbreaking or anything.
Pain behind the knee in Health ·
I’ve been dealing with this same nagging pain right behind my left knee, and man, today was honestly one of those days where it felt way more intense than usual. It kind of just comes and goes in waves, you know? And I can't even feel any kind of swelling back there if I try to check.

Any girls out there who are actually obsessed with that old-school USSR New Wave vibe?

I’m talking about the whole package—the music, the books, the aesthetic, even just the general headspace

I mean, how are you even supposed to design what an alien humanoid looks like anyway? There’s a good chance they’re basically just built like us at an atomic level. It was probably shot this way to keep the production budget from spiraling, and honestly, I think it would've been pretty trash if some little green guys were running around rocking dinosaurs. Props to the creators though, I find the concept pretty imaginative and cool. 6/10
Safe Place (2022) in Movies ·
Suicide is such a heavy, messed up topic, and seeing someone spiral into those terrifying psychoses where they just get stuck is honestly haunting. I thought the acting was pretty spot on, too. All in all, it’s probably one of the better American films we've seen lately. There's this Začaran cycle you fall into when depression hits, especially after being in a psych ward, and they really nailed the look of those observation rooms. I truly hope nobody ever has to experience being in a place like that, let alone dealing with a suicide attempt. Sadly, it happens more often than you'd think, usually once people try to crawl back into what's supposed to be a "normal" life.
Cocaine Bear (2023) in Movies ·
So... it was just a bunch of tomatoes and peppers everywhere... I wasn't exactly dying of laughter or anything, but it was definitely a watchable person. That scene where the guy is chasing the ambulance while Depeche Mode fan music plays was actually pretty cool. Just a mid-week vibe
A Man Called Otto (2022) in Movies ·
I just caught the Swedish remake and honestly, it’s way better. It just feels more emotional and human, you know?
A Man Called Otto (2022) in Movies ·
The movie is actually pretty good—fun, a little bittersweet, and definitely worth a watch. Honestly, I feel like the original version from up north might even be better, though I'm low-key losing my mind because all the books are checked out at my local library for ages. I’d love to just sit down and read a book for once. Plus, Tom Hanks is just on another level, honestly, what can you even say about such an incredible actor?
Man, USPS is honestly the absolute worst sometimes. I sent off a package to someone over in Manhattan back on February 6th, and today I just got it back in my hands after paying an extra couple bucks for the return shipping. It says the return date was the 16th, claiming the buyer was notified but just never picked it up... what a joke.

I mean, wouldn't it be way easier if they just sent a notification and left the package at my local FedEx instead?

Man, they really screwed him over, I swear.
Plane (2023) in Movies ·
Nothing crazy to report, but definitely worth a look if you have some downtime. It’s mostly stuff you’ve probably seen before, but I don't feel like I wasted my time checking out
I just sold some sneakers that are still in their original box. What’s the best way to pack them up for shipping? Is it okay if I just wrap the whole thing in bubble wrap and slap the address on there?
The Menu (2022) in Movies ·
Nothing much to say, really. Just sitting here with a solid 6/10 vibe going on.
Ghost (1990) - Thoughts? in Movies ·
Pretty decent flick, honestly; considering when it was filmed, the special effects actually hold up quite well. The plot is solid too, keeps you hooked without being too much, and it’s just a really good theme overall.
I’ve never cheated on anyone, and honestly, none of my past relationships ever ended because of infidelity—it was always just both people realizing they'd outgrown each other. I was usually the one calling it quits, but hey, that's neither here nor there. When it comes to cheating, I pretty much consider myself one of the lucky ones since I managed to dodge that whole mess entirely.

In my book, people who cheat don't deserve love. If you're already thinking about stepping out, just be real and tell your partner where things stand instead of playing games. Usually, the truth comes out in the worst way possible, and then innocent people, like kids, end up caught in the crossfire.
Adult movies: Emmanuelle and more in Movies ·
So, I finally caved and watched Emmanuella last night because it was playing on PBS around 1:00 AM and I just couldn't catch any sleep. It’s been sitting on my "must-watch" list forever, honestly. It’s basically just some softcore erotica and nothing else, really. The lead actress is absolutely stunning, and yeah, all the women in it are gorgeous too, but the plot? There isn't much of one—it's pretty much the same thin storyline you see in every single erotic flick. 5/10

Not sure I'm feeling it enough to dive into the rest of the franchise though. 🕺

So, any idea when this change actually kicks in? 🙂

I get the parody angle, but honestly, this would be much closer to my current handle.

Works for me, sounds great 👍

Is it cool if my handle is Jurosuper 85 (kind of a joke about gas prices)

I guess I could even drop the number if it's too much
Asthma Management in Health ·
I don't have asthma or anything like that, but I was in a car wreck back in December and ended up with some lung bruising that luckily got patched up. My doctors suggested I go see a pulmonologist just to be safe, and I finally have an appointment the day after tomorrow, so I was wondering if anyone here could give me a quick heads-up on what to expect? I'm assuming it'll involve stuff like spirometry, listening to my lungs, maybe an X-ray, or something like that...
