People who always use their looks as an excuse in Psychology ·
Donna Wood52 said:I’m not jealous. 🙂 It’s just—I honestly can’t wrap my head around why someone that stunning would even bother seeing a psychiatrist.

Peter Phillips32, are you actually offended that I have a thing for doctors? 😁
Because let’s be real—the men on this forum haven't exactly been welcoming ever since I admitted to my little fetish.

People like that are usually pretty messed up. Men just see them as sex objects, you've got married creeps hitting on them constantly, and they have to work ten times harder just to prove they aren't just some airhead beauty...and so on.

I suppose I agree—her looks alone are probably more than enough for her🙂

Not true. Looks are the first thing to go. I’ll leave you with a quote from a book a close friend gave me—it actually made me stop and think for a second. It goes: Beauty isn't a guarantee of happiness; it's a guarantee of future misery.🙂

It’s a brutal reality when you finally hit rock bottom after spending your whole life relying on nothing but your fading physical appearance. If that's all you have to offer...

mistydrifter55 said:Sure, you can technically do it, but that doesn't make it right. People are saying three days is way too short, and two? That’s just ridiculous.
It’s usually just a minor hormonal imbalance, triggered by stress or whatever other nonsense life throws at you.
It was okay... eventually got back on track after a bit.
Either you get your hormone levels sorted out with actual medication, or you're just asking for trouble. Honestly, trying to wing it like that is a recipe for disaster.
Don't try to play this game on your own.
You’re better off talking to a brick wall.

I've dealt with this exact same issue for twelve years now. Aside from that, I don't have any other health problems at all.🤷

Mine usually goes for three days—though most of the time it's just two or maybe two and a half🤣—and my OB-GYN never once mentioned anything about it being weird...🤷

Can doctors even tell if the cause is physical or psychological, or am I just wasting my damn time seeing them?

They really should be able to.😁 I went through an exhaustive cardiac workup, and for what? Nothing!🤣 My heart is perfectly fine!😬

I had them when I was eighteen. On the surface, it looked like I wasn't doing anything at all—just spent my days lying around.😁Yeah, but my therapist was actually working on me.🙂 Back then, I didn't even realize I was basically falling apart from all the stress. I honestly wondered how I was managing to stay so composed through it all.😍

I honestly have no idea what's going on with you...

Yeah, I ended up in the ER myself. It was a bit more serious than just heart palpitations, though. Stress was the culprit behind the whole thing.
Common myths about STIs in men in Women's Health ·
Sandra Torres39 said:It’s not six different tests. I think they just group them into three categories: Aerobics, anaerobics, and then the mycoplasma, ureaplasma, and chlamydia stuff. They don't give you a separate tube for every single thing.
Basically, they don't even bother testing guys for HPV.

I think you're fine. Can you just write down exactly what's listed on your doctor's referral?

And why is that?🤷

Did you mean lucid dreaming or are you just making fun of them?😂😂😂
I don't know about that...🤷

Go straight to a psychiatrist.🙂 I deal with the exact same thing, but nobody notices because I’m thin. People are so shallow; if you aren't carrying an extra 50 pounds, they assume you're perfectly fine.🙄 That’s why I don't even bother looking for help. There's no point.🤷 Seriously.😁

I have a few friends going through this too. It’s a total nightmare.

🤮🤮🤮
It tasted absolutely revolting, so I gave up on the idea immediately.
There was just no point.

I’ve been back to having three or four cups a day for ages now. Honestly, I just love the taste too much.
I've ended up in a total fog more than once because I overdid it, but let's be real—you can't just kick an addiction overnight... ☕🤣

, and I tossed my SIM card in the trash too,

so I'm planning on spending my next chapter being totally social at some inpatient facility 🙂
because honestly, most of the time I'm just hanging out at home by myself... like, literally. Solo.

Well, at least things are good for you!😍
If only I had the house to myself!🙏.

Robert Collins2 said:He’d get some attention, even if it was just for a minute, and he’d get his meds. Honestly, if he got lucky enough to land a decent psychiatrist within two or three weeks, he’d probably just move past all those crazy attempts and never even think about doing them again.

But what happens when he stops seeing his therapist?🤷
He just ends up right back in the same environment where nobody gives a damn about him.

I honestly think if you actually got any attention from them, it wouldn't last. If they aren't the type of people who naturally give a damn about you, there's no reason to believe anything would suddenly change their ways. It might be a temporary thing, sure. And of course, you'd probably just end up popping a pill to deal with it.🤣
That’s happened to me too... But honestly, I think it’s just the wake-up call you need.🤣🤣
Donna Hill8 said:Maybe.
And maybe that sense of total indifference will eventually fade away.
Personally, I don't really buy into the whole idea of indifference, which is exactly why I threw those questions her way. I’m genuinely curious to see how she responds—assuming everything mentioned in my first post actually holds water.

That just means you haven't actually met her.
I’m with you on this.🙂 Respect.👍

I guess I just haven't quite managed to shake all these feelings yet.😢

If you can even call it that, I’d bet it isn't some recommended way to go about things. Honestly, it feels more like you're just gambling with your health.☕
