Cold feet? in Health ·
Must be nice for you. My hands freeze up the second the temperature even dips a little. And don't even get me started on winter...🙄
It gets to the point where my circulation just cuts out entirely for like thirty seconds at a time...it's awful...just fingers with zero blood flow left in them.

Or when people actually have the nerve to ask why my hands are turning purple! It's a total disaster.☕

Sure, why not? Just amputate and swap in some prosthetics! You can even pick your own style: wood, metal... you name it.

As long as they’re straight, I don't care. That's the only thing that actually matters.👍
Facial twitching: allergies or eye strain? in Health ·
steelangler10 said:I've been dealing with this one issue for about two years now: my facial muscles feel totally slack, my nose is constantly stuffed, and allergies are killing me. I can't figure out what's going on, and neither can the doctors. It usually gets worse whenever I strain my eyes. I've seen ENT specialists multiple times, but the meds they prescribed—things like Telfast or nasal sprays—did absolutely nothing. That's why I'm starting to doubt that allergies are the only culprit here. It wasn't as obvious on my face at first, but whenever I brought it up, the doctors kept suggesting I see a psychiatrist. I stopped mentioning it because of that, but the symptoms are getting worse. There's no doubt this mysterious condition is deforming my face, which is driving me crazy, so their suggestion to see a mental health professional is actually starting to sound more plausible. I’ve also seen an ophthalmologist and a dentist (to check my old amalgam fillings), and nobody has a clue. If anyone has dealt with something similar, please reach out. At this rate, I might find out what I have when it's already too late.

I'm going through something similar. Same deal—nobody knows anything. The only difference is that some people actually notice something is wrong with me, while most people don't see a thing. Plus, this has been dragging on for five years for me, and naturally, it's getting worse. For me, the very first symptom was dry eye...

velvetrider said:Was that Jägermeister a 0.7 or a full liter? I'd say maybe try skipping the xanax—otherwise you might end up dealing with that whole "fear of not waking up" thing...

oh, and yeah—cut back on the Jäger, just two shots and a smile should do it...

quote:

I was on xanax 10 for months and ended up with a nasty dependency. A tolerance built up too, so it started doing more harm than good.
I decided to get off it. My doctor put me on Zoloft, and it took me almost a month to taper off the xanax. The withdrawal symptoms were pretty rough, even though I adjusted my doses really slowly to ease out.
The withdrawal hit me with body tremors, anxiety, fear, shortness of breath, heart palpitations, dizziness—but I actually made it!!!!!

Obviously it was a 0.7L! 🤣 But look, I've been taking this medication for years. There were times when I was popping way higher doses and drinking way more booze than this. Maybe the "issue" is just that for the last year or two, I've been tapering down as much as possible. It depends on how I'm feeling. Now, even 0.5mg is enough to take the edge off, especially if I'm already exhausted.
I can't say I'm not addicted, but I wouldn't say I'm a total junkie either. I used to go a week or ten days without it. It wasn't exactly fun—headaches, slight hand tremors... but I managed to function.🤣

You definitely feel it leaving your system, obviously! Especially on those days when even the sunlight feels like too much. Looking at the sun makes my eyes ache.🤷

Honestly, I still can't wrap my head around how much these pills can mess with you. Maybe they aren't the sole culprit, but they definitely played a part. Here's the deal: I had to get up way earlier than usual one morning. My phone was supposed to go off and wake me up, but nothing happened.

The night before, I knocked back two 0.5mg xanax tablets and had a shot of whiskey... there's no way that was still hitting me 7 or 8 hours later, right??? This isn't even like me; I don't usually sleep through stuff like this.😕😕😕

I've always got this internal "alarm" that goes off whenever I have responsibilities. But this time? I just kept sleeping.🤷
Basically, everyone treating me is female!🙂
This is for those people claiming that other people touch you too, not just gynecologists.

I make it a point to see women exclusively. Honestly, regardless of the specialty. Of course, an ophthalmologist, a dentist, or something else where there isn't any physical contact like that isn't an issue, but if there’s going to be any kind of "touching," I want it to be a woman. To me, that's just common sense.
stormymaker24 said:I don't know... maybe it's just because he's a doctor and he actually treats me like a patient instead of some sexual object he can mess around with later. 🤷

How can you even say that?!🤷😕🤷 There are plenty of OB-GYNs out there who cross the line with their patients... Besides, at the end of the day, he’s a man first and a doctor second.😉
If things worked exactly the way you think they do, the guy would have to be asexual.☕
I’ve been seeing the same female gynecologist for years now, and honestly, I wouldn't change a thing. 🙏 But I would never, ever step foot in a clinic run by a man. It just feels wrong to me. When I'm with a woman, I can actually relax, whereas being with a male doctor would leave me dying of embarrassment.🙂 Seriously, that sounds even worse than being violated!🤣

I just don't get how some women can feel comfortable sitting there in front of a guy.😕😕😕
Here’s my list of pet peeves:
obsessive, perfectionist neat freaks...
women who turn a blind eye to their husbands cheating and everything else
men who treat women like objects
snobs
people who don't believe in anything
cold-hearted people and emotional wrecks
those who clean up the neighborhood while leaving trash all over their own front porch
narrow-minded idiots—xenophobes, homophobes, chauvinists, and all kinds of bigots...
people who can't mind their own business and meddle in others' lives...

I’ll admit, seeing that commercial caught me off guard for a second, but honestly? I don't have a problem with it. If people want to buy it, they'll buy it. If they don't, they won't. I really don't see why everyone is acting so shocked.🤷
If this kind of thing is happening everywhere (and let's face it, it is), then everything else is just pure hypocrisy. All that posturing about having some sort of "high culture"...🙄

If we actually took a second to listen instead of just looking... does anyone else feel like all these singers are basically carbon copies of each other? Darker skin, long black hair, athletic builds, nothing but curves... and they all have the exact same faces once you get past those oversized sunglasses hiding half their features.

Sadly, they even have the ones like Karleus...🙄 Both of them!😂

I don't carry any childhood trauma. Quite the opposite, actually. When it comes to parenting, I look at my own parents as the gold standard.

Would I ever lay a hand on a child? I can't say for sure. I have an endless amount of patience.
But dealing with kids is such shaky ground; you never truly know how far a single word or a specific gesture might push things.

Maybe I would end up losing my cool and swinging—I don't have kids of my own, so I'm really just guessing here.
But regardless, yes if I saw my children becoming so problematic that they were completely out of control.

Look, you're an adult, a mature person, and you shouldn't be allowing that. Clearly, not everyone is cut out to be a parent. You need a certain level of self-control if you're going to claim the right to have children in the first place. The real issue is that everyone thinks they have some God-given entitlement to parenthood.

That bolded statement isn't something to be praised.
A child is a whole new human being, and a sane person doesn't say they "can't handle" a kid so they have to lash out.
No, I'm not buying those nonsense excuses. It sounds exactly like those abusive husbands who claim their hand flies up just because their wife ☕got on their nerves...

John Parker5 said:Kids are people too... adults are people too... so if you think it's okay for kids to get hit—maybe even by their own siblings—then why don't you go ahead and pick one up and keep them right where you can reach them at all times? Why? Because when you screw up, or your husband does, or your boyfriend, or your brother, or your dad, or your mom... someone needs to be there to deal with it. Maybe then they'll actually learn something! Since people are supposed to learn through experience while they're still alive, right? 🙂..
By the way, maybe try taking a little time to reflect on yourselves too, just so you don't forget who you are and end up making the same mistakes again.

Ha ha. Brilliant!🙏
Personally, I think the worst thing in the world is a parent who treats their own kids like that. It's monstrous. And anyone defending this behavior is just trying to justify being a bully to those who are weaker than them.
And that's supposed to be a parent?!🙂🙂

Bad parents? In my book, bad parents are the ones who have zero clue where their kids are at any given moment, what they're doing, or how they're performing in school. Basically, parents who are too wrapped up in themselves (or just totally checked out).

I see kids playing around the apartment complex all day and I don't mind, but I don't get how some of them are outside from sunrise to sunset. Sure, it's summer and school is out, but that's how it is year-round. These kids are filthy, rude, unwashed, etc. So where are the parents??

And those who demand a little respect and tell their kids "no" when they deserve it—those aren't bad parents. If anything, I'd say they actually know what their kids are up to and are trying to steer them right. It's a "tough love" situation.

So yeah, here we go, inventing punishments for the next generation. LOL.

Luckily, the law doesn't care about your opinion. So go ahead and keep lecturing them, "dear mother."👎
