A producer is basically just someone who hunts down the cash and handles the logistics... depending on where you are in the States, they might have some say in the creative side, but at the end of the day, they own the movie. When it comes to co-productions, the heavy hitters are the ones actually calling the shots. The lead producers hold the majority stake, while everyone else is just, well, another producer.

I'm right there with steelstag4... except I don't even bother with the fancy stuff. Honestly, who am I kidding? I'm basically both scenarios here.😁
Finally, the thread is actually moving... As a newcomer, I feel like both sex scenes serve as a commentary. The first one is basically a foreshadowing of what’s coming; they start playing different roles right then. It's just for that moment, sure, but if you know what's ahead, it's pretty symptomatic... To me, it almost feels like they're subconsciously summoning the devil. The second scene is just an escalation of the first, and we see the same thing again: the role reversal. She ends up with this "new, aggressive" husband, which is why it feels so edgy. She’s clearly hooked on how much he turns her on, even if he's completely wrecking their perfect little world.
I caught Franz Ferdinand in New York City and it was a blast... looks like they’re playing the same setlist everywhere... the absolute highlight for me was definitely when they played 'Outsiders' 👍 ...if only the crowds weren't so obnoxious, it would've been perfect 😁
Meirelles is brilliant... the framing, the editing... technically, the movie is flawless. But let's be real, it works way better as a documentary than when it tries to force the emotion and suspense. It gets a bit defensive there—kind of like an away team playing in a hostile stadium, just hunkering down and hoping for the best (except maybe for the Lakers)... anyway, where was I? The movie is just a heavy watch to experience... yet he somehow pulled off an interesting film in a genre I usually hate. Either way, thumbs up 👍

Next time I run into him, I'll be sure to pass along your regards (assuming I can actually get a word in edgewise 😁 )...😁

I don't get it either... all I can manage is a grunt.😕
brightridge19 said:David Thewlis is in that remake of the mark of the beast, so my coworker figured if they filmed it down in hell, he’d probably show up there too. And here I am, basically acting like his cheerleader. 🎉 🙏 🙏 Total tangent: god, I love how perfectly straight his teeth are. 😍
Sure.. being a cheerleader is fine 😁 ... then we can 🙏 🙏 🙏 and maybe 🙂 😁
brightridge19 said:I actually looked into that question myself.😁 It’s funny how I can shrug off a massive mistake with a bottle of Jack Daniel's, yet you’re getting all worked up over Crowea... ...but whatever, it's fine. Water under the bridge.😁
That's just teenage nostalgia talking. You can't compare it to anything else.😍 ...What's the point, Greg? Aside from that mystery skin which is clearly essential... you weren't exactly a superstar back then either.😁
brightridge19 said:Chime? Are you kidding me? 😁 I’m actually getting nervous about watching Singles now. I have this weird cinematic feeling building up, a few clips flashing through my head... and I'm just worried I'll be disappointed. See, that’s never going to happen with Grease 😁 ... since we're talking legendary soundtracks. *Hopelessly Devoted to You* hits every time. 😍
What do you mean Chime? ...I guess via Crowe? 😁 ...haven't watched him in ages, but honestly, I know his stuff well enough by heart that I don't even need to bother...😁 😁 ...and I haven't seen Grease in years either... isn't that the one where they sing? 😁 ...plus, you hear the Grease soundtrack on the radio all the time anyway...
