I was reading somewhere that cancer cells basically go into overdrive
when you're loading up on sugar, white flour, and meat.

Regarding the sugar part, does that rule apply to honey too?

Thanks

Thanks a ton 👍

Anyone else got some extra info on this?

Does anyone happen to know what major social milestones or big events defined 2011?
I'm trying to pinpoint a specific moment or maybe some kind of global observance that really captured the vibe of that year.
Just looking for the big picture stuff.
I’m not talking about random personal theories or weird predictions,
more along the lines of breakthroughs in science, shifts in the art world, or something of that nature.

Thanks in advance!

😂 It's definitely not the beer since they don't even touch alcohol.
Plus, they aren't supposed to be drinking anyway because of their medication.

There's zero chance they're pregnant from drinking.
But look, all those tests will happen this fall, so we'll finally have some actual answers then.
Thanks, everyone. 👍
Yep, I'm on two different meds right now—one of them is lithium carbonate 300.

But if we're talking about bloating,
why does it only seem to pile up right around my gut and nowhere else?

Just for context, I actually measured my waistline. In the morning, I'm sitting at about 41 inches, but by the evening, I've ballooned up to 43.
Here’s a shot of my midsection.

fadedmarlin402, thanks for getting back to me. Turns out they haven't actually gone for a CIA scan yet,
mostly because both their GP and their psychiatrist are convinced this is just a side effect from those bipolar meds they're on.

That link isn't working for me at all.
The photo isn't photoshopped or anything. I took it myself because I really wanted some objective input here.
It’s someone very close to me.
They've been dealing with bipolar disorder and have been on medication for about 10 years now.
(I can list the specific meds if that helps.)
Is it actually possible for this to be a side effect of that?

Look, I'm totally willing to provide more details,
but I wanted to see if anyone would even be interested in this topic first, or what your take on it might be.

I'll go ahead and check on the specifics from their ultrasound results.

I'd love to upload some more photos from a front-facing angle, but the site keeps telling me I've hit my limit.
So, does anyone know how I can paste another photo? Thanks.
What do you guys think about this photo? What am I looking at here?

The person isn't pregnant. Ultrasound looks totally fine.

Etoga, the inflammation finally cleared up and honestly? I feel like a brand-new person.
The only real downside during those two weeks was feeling pretty wiped out,
plus some nagging headaches here and there,
but man, it was worth it. I guess even those damn antibiotics serve a purpose after all. :-)

Alright, so I’ve got about two days left on this round of meds,
and honestly, everything's going fine—no major drama on my end so far...
I've been taking them before breakfast and dinner, and it's been smooth sailing.
Now, whether that bacterial infection is actually cleared out? That's anyone's guess until the lab results come back.
I definitely feel better, but is it a total 180? Not quite yet....

Yeah, he’s the only one.
By the way, have you heard anything about what’s going on with the food situation?
People keep saying this medication makes them feel weak and totally kills their appetite,
but honestly? I feel like it just made my hunger even more intense...

So, I just started a two-week round of antibiotics to clear up some urological bacteria issues.

Is it actually okay to drink coffee or have a glass of red wine after lunch while I'm on this stuff?

The dosage is one 100 mg pill at noon and another at midnight, so theoretically, there's a huge gap between doses—can I sneak in some caffeine or wine during that window?

Also, what has your experience been like with this specific antibiotic? Any weird side effects I should look out for?

Thanks
So, is anybody actually going to say anything about this? 😢
There are a ton of wild theories out there,
but for us mere mortals...

How do you actually explain the fact that someone can go gray practically overnight?

Sure, stress and fear are the usual suspects.

But I’m looking for the actual science here—what’s happening inside the body? For hair pigmentation to shift at its core like that, we're talking about some massive biological shifts, right?😲

Alright, just wanted to give you guys an update—I finally saw my doctor and we figured out what's going on.

Right now, there's this mild bronchial virus making the rounds (it's already starting to die down, but not quite gone), usually bringing along some coughing and a bit of conjunctivitis.

My eyes are feeling way better now, and the cough is pretty infrequent, mostly just hitting me at night. My doctor mentioned that it’s totally normal for the cough to linger for about two weeks even after the virus itself clears up.

Carl Campbell3, I didn't have any redness anywhere else besides my eyes—and honestly, it was mostly just in one eye, which is exactly what happened to my friend too. Weird, but true.

Carl Campbell3 said:That cough and those tearing eyes? It's an allergic reaction, sure—along with plenty of other things—but it also points to too much "heat" in the body.
It’s often a sign you're dehydrated, so getting some water or maybe a lemonade in you would be a good move (lemonade helps kickstart the liver, though don't go overboard on the sugar)...
As for the eyes specifically, if they're staying red, it might just be your nervous system being totally wound up from stress and not getting enough sleep.
You might find some relief with something natural, like a warm bowl of chicken soup loaded with carrots and celery root.

Stay healthy and happy... 👋

Thanks for the input. Honestly, I’ve always been super diligent about staying hydrated; I’m talking bowls of soup, working out, eating clean... you name it. I drink a ton of water and tea, so I really don't think dehydration is the culprit here. Stress? Doubtful. If stress were my trigger, I would've developed allergies ages ago. This is brand new territory for me.
Actually, you want to know when this allergy suddenly decided to show up? Right after I started taking some herbal drops for a urinary tract infection. I picked them up at a local health food store, and the ingredients include bearberry tincture, cranberry, parsley, birch, plantain, plus fennel and peppermint oils. Do you think any of those specific ingredients could be triggering this?

Thanks for the reply. I actually already tried some Advil, but it didn't do squat.

Charles Walker3 said:I dealt with the exact same thing. Honestly, I still get it off and on sometimes. It was mostly this burning sensation in my eyes that seemed to hit right whenever my throat was acting up. I ended up taking tons of antibiotics thinking it was an infection, only to find out later it was just allergies. After getting checked out and getting the right meds this year, I haven't needed a single antibiotic for my throat, and my eyes have been totally fine—it might be worth getting checked out just to be safe.

That’s it. That is literally what I’m dealing with: a scratchy throat (the coughing fits at night are the worst) and red, watery, stinging eyes.

So, who am I supposed to ask for a referral if I want to go see an allergy specialist?

And how did you actually fix yours?

Also, what did they tell you was triggering the allergies?
