I don't think that's actually true. It sounds like you might be mixing up your terminology here. It’s hard to stay constructive sometimes, but we should try regardless of whether we're praising or bashing something. 🤔
I honestly think journalists need to remember that negative reviews can be way more fun to read (and write, for that matter). They should lean into them more often—it’s a win for the readers and a headache for the promoters. 🙂 Personally, I try to pick shows I think will be great—which, let's face it, is stating the obvious—but sometimes they still end up being total garbage.
If we’re really going to play dumb here, then I might as well bring up some random names from a history book... either way, they're just as helpful when it comes to planning a Coachella or a Lollapalooza.
Look, they’re heading to New York City and claiming they won't have time to stop for shopping in Jersey City? You're going to New York City, for crying out loud—it's basically the shopping capital of the world. 😬
Anyway, feel free to keep rambling about the Fed's policies. Personally, I'm on the same page as Betty Booth5 and Larry Cooper40.

Alright, let me throw my two cents in now that the festival is over. Lilly Allen is boring. She’s generic, completely uninspired, and that laugh is just painful to listen to. Zero points from me.
Day one was everything I wanted out of it. To top it all off, Hatebreed—a band I’d never even heard of, let alone planned to see—ended up being hands down the best set of the entire Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival. The raw energy was just insane. I spent the whole time grinning like an idiot.
I watched Kraftwerk for about six songs before heading out for a beer—and I never actually made it back. It was an impressive show, sure. They played all the hits and everything, but it just didn't click for me. Honestly, I think I’d prefer seeing them at a solo concert. At a festival like Coachella, there's just too much background noise for my taste.
They sounded pretty weak on the call. Honestly, they just sounded lifeless. I have no idea what was up with them.
Dimmu Borgir is a joke. 😁
Franz Ferdinand killed it at the start. Everyone was jumping and dancing just to get hyped up for those two big tracks in the middle. Then they played Ulysses and started dragging the tempo out again. By the time they hit "I This Fire," they started getting all moody and slow, which honestly annoyed me. If you play a dance track, just play it! Don't start playing existential crisis music halfway through a beat. Still, I had a blast. I danced my heart out.
Day two.
Art Brut was pleasant and charming. They played their songs perfectly right around 5:00 PM at Coachella—just enough to set the mood. They definitely enjoyed themselves, too.
Editors... I honestly don't get it. I have no clue why they're so popular.
Rising Dream—hands down the best keyboard experience I've ever had. Tonight is our big night! 😬 The singer acts like he’s actually part of the band. Even without hair or a guitar, he’s out there shredding on an air guitar and headbanging like a maniac. Antenat is pretty boring, but he does a solid job holding down the background tracks.
God Dethroned is boring and just follows trends. Anthrax was alright—fun enough, but I’m glad they didn't drag it out longer. Not that I'm an expert or anything. 😁 I finished half a beer next to Tricky, strolled past Moby’s latest track while walking home, and just moped about Michael.
I had a blast. I live for festivals—the crowds, the music, just being out there in the thick of it. Everything was incredibly well-run, too. I didn't have to wait in a single line the entire two days. It was that perfect festival vibe. Huge thanks to the organizers for such a killer time.
Dukey is being totally childish here, while Clash is actually deep and mature 😁 Dukey 😍 Honestly, Green Day was incredible when I saw them live.
Who on earth puts Dirty Theater on the cover back in 2009? And look at this—it’s such a ridiculous, over-photoshopped, oversaturated mess trying way too hard to be mystical... (Does anyone else think he looks a bit like a serial killer in this photo? Plus, his hair is turning a weird shade of red 😬 ))
