Is it actually a thing that people hand out little boxes of pastries to guests at the end of a wedding? I'm trying to figure out how weddings usually go over here in the States...
Does that mean you have to order a massive extra batch of desserts from the catering company, or is there some other way to handle it?
I honestly feel like that tradition has mostly faded away, though if it still happens, it definitely still exists.👍
Mom, I have a bit of a mission for you😬—could you track down some cake designs that feature a palette of beige, champagne, and white decorations?😍 Thanks a million, love😘
I’ve realized that days two and five are easily the most brutal, where the pain hits so hard you feel like you might actually lose your mind.😲😲😲 So, I wanted to start a new thread to ask you all about this, because it’s all connected, isn't it?😉 I recently had some urine tests done, and they showed elevated white blood cell counts, which led my doctor to suggest I go see a specialist at the Mayo Clinic. What could that possibly indicate? Should I mention that I went to the lab right after my period ended?
I dropped off my insurance card at 1:45 PM—even though they don't officially open until 2:00—and I didn't even get seen until about 5:00, which was honestly pretty scary...
It turns out I'm actually allergic to an ingredient in Clavocin (there was even a guy there who ended up being rushed to the ER) They gave me a substitute instead...
But what really caught me off guard was when the doctor suggested that my rash might have been triggered by my own "psychological state," as if he truly believes a physical reaction could be psychosomatic... Jesus!
Best, Brian Sanders18
That’s often just an excuse they use when they can't pin down a real diagnosis.🙄

I've always had such a hard time tolerating them... honestly, I just want to stop right now... what do you all think? What kind of side effects are you dealing with? Is it even worth pushing through when you end up feeling even worse afterward?
My doctors told me not to stop early, and that’s exactly what happened with me—I was prescribed Augmentin after Amoxicillin failed to do the trick, and 😲 my head was pounding, I felt dizzy, and I almost passed out😲 so I went back to see my doctor, and she actually asked me why I hadn't stopped, even though I distinctly remember her telling me specifically not to change anything without her permission🙄 I am never taking Augmentin again😁
Adam Green2 said:Hey everyone... so here’s the deal... I used to have this whole routine down pat, you know? Just a big ol' mug of coffee in the morning before heading into the office, maybe a couple of cigarettes, and then I was good to go... oh, and a few snacks from the vending machine at work too, because hey, it makes smoking easier, right? 😁..but then things started getting weird. Every single morning, right after that first cup of joe, I’d get hit with this massive wave of anxiety, almost like a sudden bout of depression, my hands would start shaking, I’d be in a terrible mood, just totally drained—kind of like that feeling when your blood sugar crashes out of nowhere... and man, I had absolutely no clue what was causing it. I struggled through it for months, until one morning I decided to skip the coffee, and boom, it was gone... everything felt fine, no more shakes, no more bad vibes... until I’d grab a cup during my break at work and suddenly, it was back to square one... total chaos. So, I finally figured out that coffee specifically is what wrecks me, which is wild because I can drink anything else, like a Red Bull or whatever, without an issue... it's just coffee that absolutely destroys me. I actually quit drinking it about a year ago, but lately, the smell has been calling my name again. The other day at a gas station, while I was grabbing some smokes, I picked up one of those canned frappuccinos—you know, like a Starbucks thing—and what do you think happened? Yep, the same nightmare all over again... so, has anyone else here dealt with something like this? Because honestly, I really want to be able to enjoy a cup of coffee 😁, mostly because it tastes amazing and it’s just that perfect little companion for the whole day, isn't it?
There are certain types of people out there, much like myself, who simply see the world through a different lens, don't they?🙄 Is anyone else out there dealing with a caffeine allergy? I manage to get through one cup a day just fine, but the moment I try to have a second, everything goes sideways. It’s a bizarre sensation—it feels as though my airways are suddenly constricting, and then the dizziness hits, followed by this persistent ringing in my ears. Has anyone else experienced such an intense reaction?😲
Betty Gomez10 said:So, I was chatting with a friend this morning while we were planning our night out, and she mentioned she’s on her period. Right in the middle of our conversation, she starts looking at her hair and complaining about how greasy and lifeless it feels, yet she insists she can't wash it. 😲 I was completely baffled—I mean, why on earth wouldn't she? She told me that you aren't supposed to wash your hair, let alone take a full shower, during your cycle, because that's what her grandmother always insisted on, claiming you shouldn't do any of that while you're on those days. 😕 ?
I've heard people claim things like that before, but if you ask me, it sounds like total nonsense; I mean, when I'm on my period, not even a massive thunderstorm would stop me from hopping in the shower or washing my hair. Besides, isn't that exactly the time when my hair gets extra oily due to all those hormonal shifts? 😲 Honestly, the idea that I shouldn't clean myself up just because of my cycle sounds ridiculous—as if I should just sit there feeling gross while trying to get through my daily chores, which is just plain unpleasant.
If this has been dragging on for quite some time now, wouldn't it be best to just head over to your primary care doctor and ask for a referral to a neurologist? Honestly, that really is your safest and most effective bet!🙂

Does anyone have any old-school home remedies or those classic "Grandma knows best" tips that actually help keep your digestion on track? I’m looking for those tried-and-true secrets that work wonders when things feel a bit sluggish. What kind of foods actually work in our favor when we're looking to optimize our health? I've been thinking about this quite a bit lately, and honestly, there is such a vast landscape of options that it can feel almost overwhelming if you don't have a starting point. Is it just about cutting things out, or is it more about what we choose to invite back onto our plates? If we are talking about truly nourishing the body, I would suggest focusing on whole, unprocessed ingredients that offer high nutrient density. Think of things like leafy greens—kale and spinach are obvious staples—alongside colorful berries, which are packed with antioxidants. Then you have your lean proteins, whether you prefer wild-caught salmon or perhaps some organic chicken breast, both of which provide essential building blocks for muscle and metabolic health. Don't overlook healthy fats either; avocados, walnuts, and extra virgin olive oil are absolutely vital for brain function and keeping those satiety signals firing correctly. And of course, complex carbohydrates like quinoa, sweet potatoes, or steel-cut oats will give you that steady, sustained energy rather than the frantic spike and crash you get from refined sugars. But really, it comes down to variety and quality. If you focus on eating foods that are as close to their natural state as possible, aren't you already halfway to feeling significantly better? What else would you all add to this list? I can only say this much: starting my day with a warm glass of lemonade on an empty stomach—whether I add honey or leave it plain—just doesn't do anything for me. At least, it certainly hasn't made any difference for my own body. Much appreciated.
If you can manage four glasses of water on an empty stomach first thing in the morning—or even more if you're feeling ambitious—it will surely get things moving for you. I personally swear by a bowl of cereal mixed with some yogurt, and I always make sure to snack on two apples before lunch. You should aim for a light lunch and drink plenty, plenty of water throughout the day; as for me, I tend to eat fruit whenever the craving hits, though I actually read somewhere that you ought to be eating five servings of fruit a day! But let’s be honest, isn't water truly the absolute foundation of everything? I mean, I personally can't imagine getting through a single day without it.🙏 Is it just me, or does it feel like I’m spending half my life running back and forth to the bathroom lately? It’s honestly becoming quite a frequent occurrence for me. 🙂
Honestly, if it’s causing more dryness, I wouldn't touch it—I ended up seriously burning my own skin 😲 Do you guys remember when that Oxi gel was everywhere? I made the absolute mistake of leaving it on overnight, and let me tell you, I woke up feeling so miserable I thought I might actually pass out; only some chamomile tea finally helped me calm down. Looking back, I can't even fathom why I did it, because my face was perfectly clear before that, and then suddenly everything just started going wrong! If you're going to use it at all, just dab it directly onto the breakouts and leave it at that.😉
When I sat down to ask a practicing Muslim about this, he explained that it really comes down to hygiene, noting how frequently children can develop inflammation, which eventually leads to all sorts of complications if left unaddressed.🤷
Susan Gonzalez4 said:But is everyone's blood pressure holding up alright? Personally, I’m feeling pretty terrible today—everything is spinning and my vision is getting all blurry; my pressure is sitting at 88/57, and this intense Southern heat is just absolutely wrecking me.
Ugh, if there is one thing I truly despise, it is these constant shifts in the weather, especially since my body handles them so poorly.😲>
I honestly envy you; I actually started my period a few days early this time, but it hasn't let up at all, and now I’m dealing with an even heavier flow on top of a migraine that just wouldn't quit for eight straight days, possibly because of those pills 🤷 . Honestly, I might as well just go into labor 😁—you know how people always say that once you have a baby, your cramps just disappear forever? 😛
Well, here I am again🙄 Honestly, I feel like I’m losing my mind; it’s day twelve, my stomach is bloated like I’m expecting a baby, and everything just hurts! Could it possibly be linked to the stress I've been dealing with lately, considering it's been hitting me non-stop? I know I really ought to schedule an appointment with my OB-GYN, but the discomfort just won't let up, and it is absolutely miserable!😠
