Anthony Green6 said:Thanks, guys... I know about Bane—my buddy and I actually trained there a few times. It’s his friend’s gym that he rents out, so we've been around. Does anyone know if there's an MT gym somewhere in the shadows? I used to live over in Dubrava near there, but back then I wasn't really into it. Now though, I definitely need one—somewhere near Bane, or Potkov, maybe just below that little corner grocery store that was suggested.
Took about an hour on the bus and the light rail combined... so if you happen to be out somewhere near— sesvetama I’d be forever in your debt for this... 😉

I’m on the shorter side—about 5'2"—but I’ve got plenty of power; my fast-twitch muscles definitely take precedence over the slow ones. Right now, I'm following a specific summer regimen designed to boost my speed, endurance, and raw strength simultaneously... essentially, I'm doing hybrid muscle training.
I want to pick up a martial art that is truly effective and devastating against street fighters. I need something where the techniques for both defense and offense allow me to actually overcome a typical aggressor.
😛
So, what I'm wondering is: which martial arts focus most on pure strength, which prioritize speed, and so on? Ultimately, which discipline would be the absolute best fit for someone with my build—short, powerful, and weighing around 117 lbs?
Also, I've recently started practicing parkour. 🙂
(My ultimate goal is to become formidable in combat, because I need to be able to hold my own against my father, who was trained by the military and trains every single day.) 😁

The bouncer just stayed down while the guy made a smart move and dipped right when two of the victim's buddies showed up. He got lucky the whole thing went down near the restrooms while the bouncers were all hung out by the bar. Then again, if the guy actually knows what he's doing, maybe the bouncers just got lucky.
They picked him up and hauled him off somewhere deep inside the club, I'm guessing. Broken nose, split lip—looks like his temple might have cracked too, but it’s hard to tell when the guy's face is basically a bloody mask.
It looked brutal. Way more explosive and, I don't know, violent than your typical bar fight where someone just catches a punch to the head or gets stepped on by some boots.

-> It involves everything from strikes with hands and feet to wrestling in the clinch and grappling on the ground; takedowns, throws, joint locks, and chokes. You don't wear a gi or a kimono.
Some gyms have women training, though they aren't as common. I'm not sure why Robin Palmer3 felt the need to modestly mention San Shou, which practically nobody does around here, while completely forgetting to mention his own gym out in the suburbs... 😁
If you're closer to the downtown area, there's a club over there too, run by briskjackal5 and Ethan Hayes6.
There are others, too.
Why does it feel like he just wrote the exact same thing ten different times? 😕
I'd suggest flipping through the last few pages of this thread; I'm pretty sure this has already come up... 😉

Would it be possible to change my current username to lowercase, specifically, gladijator?
It would mean a lot to me.
Thank you in advance.
The first letter can be capitalized, with the rest in lowercase. Please reach out to Tyndall.>

p.s. I would suggest this instead; a heavy-duty shield is the best defense.☕
hiddensailor14 said:Don't sweat it. Once the first cop spots him, he'll end up either in a cell or a psych ward. Either way, he won't have it anymore.😁
What a concept.😵😵😵
I'd carry a Sword. For self-defense.🤣 It’s not like we’re in Rwanda, Nicaragua, or Zaire.🤣
